The homestead is really looking nice! I love the new deck. Great job on the pallet fork creation. I think I paid about $600 for a plate and two forks that you could slide to different positions about 2 years ago through Chappelle Tractor. How are you liking the B2650? Have a great week!

$600 is a good deal! I just couldn't pass up this chance t build one for $200. I'm loving this machine. Like all HST's, my only complaint is how loud/jerky they are in high gear but otherwise I'm really impressed with it. Super comfortable and plenty of power for me anyway. Thanks for continuing to watch man! Now I just need to build me a grapple like you have.

@@Trialnerror your channel is one of the best. I wish I had a quarter of the talent. I need to take some welding classes. You make yourself a grapple and you will have a new business. People love grapples on these channels 😅

@@BeginnerforBSeries I did what you're considering and it opened up a whole new world. I took welding classes at the local Junior College a few decades ago because I kept coming up with ideas that led me to say, "If only I had a welder and knew how to use it." Like everybody, I started with a little buzz box to stick weld and honestly, with practice, you can do a ton with that small investment. Ultimately, my favorite process is gas-shielded mig. What's nice about our modern times is that I think you can learn all that you need to know about welding right here on KZread. The newer mig machines are super friendly, too. Mine has a chart inside a panel that tells me what wire and settings to use for the thickness of a project. Add me to the list of people who want a grapple! Here in Missouri, we're always fighting to recover land from invasions of honey locust trees. If you're not familiar with those, they're a brutal thorn tree that sheds branches in storms that take out tires for years after they've been on the ground, wound livestock, and wound me working to remove them. My cousin got a grapple for his tractor and all he has to do is lop off enough lower branches with an electric pole saw to duck walk in and cut the tree down. He throws those cut branches on the down tree, then grabs the whole mess with the grapple to carry them off to a pile for burning. I've got a serious case of grapple envy!

Looks like you got a lot of time consuming stuff done, the pool looks great and the deck looks nice too.... The pallet forks seem to be sturdy, I got mine before the prices went up (got lucky) ... Is that your BX under the tarp?

Good eyes! No that's my brother's BX with a Curtis cab. Poor dude went through an ugly divorce and he's staying with me for a bit until he can get back on his feet. You can take his house but you better believe, she wasn't taking the BX from him :)

Maybe make the forks so they adjust width.

I did think about putting a bar on there to slide them but after years of using fixed with forks, I opted to keep it simple.
