I am also in the process of restoring a 53 cranbrook sedan! I spent at least 40 hours scraping the sound proofing/undercoating off of the flooring. I used a heat gun and a putty knife. All of them have crappy floors. They were made during the Korean war so they used subpar steel and tried coating it heavily to make up for the lower quality metal. In the long run, the metal rusted away but the undercoating stayed in place. I found quite a few areas in the wheel wells that I thought were solid, but were only just the undercoating left and no metal! Repro rubber is available for the windshield and front vent windows (you can even reinstall the front window stainless trim with it). For the rear windshield, you can use a universal rubber... I haven't found a way to attach the rear stainless tho. The only rubber I have not been able to find is the rear vent window rubber.... A few people have recommended looking into older VW window rubber, but I haven't done that yet. Make sure you are careful with the front and rear windshields because they are EXPENSIVE to replace.
Coming along well.
Awesome ! I've been looking forward to a new episode , I have a soft spot for these early 50's Mopar working man cars .
Loving the videos dude! Keep them coming your projects are keeping me going on mine!!

I chased the wires down, ended up being the speed knob for the aftermarket blower motor.
I’m thinking a Cuba look for this car, remake what isn’t working and have fun with it.
There are universal seals that will work for your back glass & windshield ... Contact a glass co. and they can probably head you in the right direction. I had a windshield put in my mid 60's chevy van (Arizona) & it had a seal much like you have . They used twine to set the seal.
Nice video!, looking forward to seeing this dragging pavement
Potentiometer. Maybe it controls the wiper or heater fan speed?
You can still purchase the windlace for these cars . I glued grey pool table felt on recycled whiteboard for door panels
CLR in your gas tank will eliminate most rust
Kanter automotive , Andy Bernbaum , Steel Rubber Products, may have window seals .
