Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this weeks video, we dig into the 53 Plymouth. We start swapping out parts like the plugs and wires, and the battery. Rig up some brakes and try them out!

Thanks 👍
Doing things right and tidy may take longer but it's the right attitude. As you said
Good job young man. I had a 51 wagon and a cranbrook when I was a kid. I have a 37 Dodge I'm working on with the same engine.
Totally amaaazing!
That condenser that is not hooked up on the generator is probably to keep engine noise from coming through the radio .
Lots of fun on the way !
Love the 53
You can still buy every part to those engines . You can even buy high performance parts . heads , split manifolds , intakes, cams etc . They are fun to hop up
The fuel pump and carburetor are rebuildable,on the other Plymouth channel that I watch the guy recently rebuilt the fuel pump for it.
P. S. Love the t-shirts!
Good job young man... Enjoyed it. So I subscribed .

More to come!
I’ve had a 53 Cranbrook coupe since ‘01. They are super rare around Denver and mine is the only one I see. It’s on the back burner until later this year as I’m building a rat rod Jeep now. All the 6 (or 8 ) volt Chrysler products are positive ground, a mistake I made but without consequences. The rear drums can be challenging and sometimes the puller isn’t effective. Loosening the hub nut to a sixteenth inch of daylight and driving around the block is a good way to break them loose
Don't forget to set the voltage regulator for the 8 volt battery, or you'll never be able to get a proper charge. After some starts, that 8 volter won't crank any better than the OEM 6 volts battery...I own two '54 Plymouths...I can't understand why any Plymouth flathead needs 8 volts in the first place, IF the electrical system / connections are up to snuff. Good luck with yours.
Mos enjoyable Thank yo.

Glad you enjoyed it
Sheesh 🎉 she a runner 😮
Would you recommend these cars as a good starter project? I'm looking at a 53 Cranbrook here in Canada. But I'm looking around to see what other people think of these cars.

They are pretty easy to work on, but part availability is getting kinda scarce. But anything can be done with a little motivation!!

@@ksspeedshop Well I reckon I'll take a chance. Getting it here and having the rust repaired will probably be the most costly part of it. Having it shipped to me would cost $3825 all on it's own. XD
Sounds like it's got a cam in it .
Is that a positive ground? Because it's 6 volt.?

yes, positive ground, looks funky with the red cable going to the engine, but it is what it is haha
Please, don’t put your wrenches on top of the battery!

@@ksspeedshopI know! And how many times after telling myself that, did I screw up and injure myself? Too many. An arc in this situation could cause the battery to explode. It would be better to remove it from the car or cover it with something rubber.
