I know the anime will be uncensored and stick close to the source material, but I wonder if Ichibe’s death will be a toned down or not..

Fun Fact: Kenpachi Zaraki holds the Record for unlocking Bankai in the Fastest Time possible after one's Shikai. Dude Unlocked both Shikai and Bankai on the same day.

Technically it took him his entire life up until the point when he fought and defeated unohana. So nah it's still ichigo. Even though ichigo's wasn't even a true bankai.

I like to think he was strong enough to do it awhile ago but his restrictions were mor e mental then physical or because lack of skill. So when he got his head right, everything else needed was already there

@@simonthedigger3490 that's incorrect cuz Kenpachi always had a net negative Growth after his battle with Unohana. He kept getting weaker and weaker due to the restrictions he set on himself. Only after he had a life threatening battle with Ichigo did he started to release those mental block. It's like dude was starting from negative 100 when everyone was starting from 0. Even then he wasn't allowed to train or learn new techniques after a single day of Kendo Practice with Yamamoto. So yeah, you're way off on your reasoning.

@@iReiGNxx There was definitely a time after a fight he lost I remember him trying to talk to his zanpakuto and figure out the name so he was definitely trying to unlock at times

If done justice, Zanka no Tachi will be a series-defining moment for the anime, I still remember how it blew me away when reading the manga.

Shunsui's Bankai should have that haunting background music( something similar to when aizen evolved into his final form in karakura and ulquiorra's second release). That will really set the feeling that you get from such an ominous and dark ability.

Kisuke’s bankai really nailed in his comment to renji about how his bankai wasnt suited for helping others train It being a “simple” bankai with so many intricacies wouldve, if anything, been a hindered to Chad during his training because if anything it would’ve probably overwhelmed him

Kenpachi Zaraki's Bankai is by far the most Unexpected Bankai for me. Dude literally unlocked Shikai on the same day as his Bankai. Unexpected but Welcomed 🔥💯

I hope Chojiro gets a little justice with his flashback and fight with Driscoll, small moments like this being added as new scenes will make the anime better

I kinda hope they don’t show us the fight with Driscol.. I’d prefer that moment to remain more surprising than be expanded upon in the anime.. if anything maybe give Chojiro a moment of him fighting other Sternritter and winning, then Driscol shows up and it cuts back to Yamamoto.

I think it's better we DON'T see Chojiro vs Driscoll. Instead I want to see an extended Chojiro bankai training flashback and actually see Chojiro vs Yamamoto or at least part of it. Also it should have a variation of Destiny Awaits play. Chojiro's bankai deserves it.

Ichibei's suits him given he's the living representation of Soul Society's ancient history. His ability to erase and rename at will is more meaningful given he and Squad Zero have essentially rewritten the history of the war in the aftermath though some have started to question that. Kenpachi's will always be epic crazy especially that incident with the meteor.

Him ripping through space and CLEAVING Hoffnung in half(Hoffnung couldn't be broken by Toshiro, Byakuya or Kenpachi who in restricted Shikai obliterated a large country+ meteor and ripped through the Vacuum of space... That's some serious Dc to have while restricted but Bankai Kenpachi split it and the damage reflects onto whoever breaks it... AND HE TANKED IT LIKE NOTHING) was equally crazy asf imo.

Rukia is one of the most I am excited for. She really deserves it. Kisuke’s one's Zaraki's one and Shunsui and of course the captain commander I am so excited for this anime. I am on season 12 in the anime (again). I am working towards finish season 14. And as a P.S I want to see the final fight with YHWACH at the end with Ichigo. Man, it never ends. I can't wait to see a more mature Banki of Hitsugaya.

It's crazy that we will finally be getting to see all nine of these completely new Bankai animated _plus_ the other new and/or true versions of older Bankai that the arc reveals! If we count Mayuri's modified Bankai, Renji's true Bankai, Ichigo's true Bankai, Komamura's altered Bankai after his humanization technique, Hitsugaya's fully developed "adult form" Bankai, and even just getting to see Kensei's Bankai actually in action... that means we are really going to get to experience like *fifteen* totally new or different Bankai in the TYBW anime! And that is if they don't decide to add _more_ with the additional stuff that they're apparently adding to the adaptation of the arc! Plus we will be getting reveals of Nanao's Shikai, Ichibei's Shikai (even if that isn't what he calls it), Kirinji's Shikai, Yachiru's "Shikai", Isshin's Shikai, and even some fodder 3rd Division officers releasing their Shikai during the first invasion! I would really love if Kubo takes the chance to finally give us a release command and name for Iba's Shikai at some point in the arc (and what it does if it has any ability) as well as what the power of Isane's Shikai is too if there is a way to squeeze that in the story somehow. Personally I would love for them to find a way to maybe reveal to us what Isshin's Bankai is or have Love show his Bankai when when attacking Gerard or maybe even show Ikkaku using his Bankai again so we can see what it looks like in it's semi-repaired form! Or maybe even another Zero Division member's Bankai (or even just some more Shikais from them!) though I don't think that last one is very likely. I also suspect they will save Shinji and Hisagi's Bankai reveals in case they adapt CFYOW and that Ukitake's (as well as other later Captains' Bankais like those of Iba and Isane and maybe some others) will get shown if Kubo decides to continue the Hell Arc, but there's actually potentially room for even more! If the TYBW anime is done as well as it could and should be, it will easily be the best of Bleach with all of the cool new stuff and Kubo adding more to flesh out the story more completely than he was able to before!

I really appreciate all your content. I recently discovered your channel and it quickly inspired me to get back into bleach after a long hiatus. I watched the lost agent arc and then absolutely inhaled TYBW to get caught up before the anime. These new Bankai all definitely hit the mark for me, especially Zaraki’s as brief as it was. That first panel of his demonic face after he activates it, pure magic. Can’t wait for October!!

How excited are you for October! Woo-hoo finally it returns and I hope you continue to address them episode by episode as the anime plays out. You do a much better job than most others with the breakdown of what is happening, not to mention you show the person watching just how important each moment really is. Shunsui is one of the most badass captains and his Bankai really shows off that inner darkness inside him, which is really sweet

God I am so glad you’re excited to see Rose’s as well. Most characters that are truly music based never get to have such an insane power showcased. A guitar here or there yes but Rose is a literal conductor, with his tailored (choral or small ensemble) baton used to direct his Bankai, aka his ensemble. I’m hoping when it’s animated, we see actual conducting motions and techniques used. I also hope the music played is specially composed for his character to make sure we get the full breadth of what potential Rose has. Imagine, he composes his own pieces and each piece reflects his Bankai ability and he knows it from his heart. These are pieces he worked on from even before he knew Bankai but they developed and flourished even more once he learned them. Therefore the power of the abilities is heightened beyond normal levels due to that personal connection. This is a lot of rambling but my music heart is bursting with excitement for this moment!

I want to see ichigo’s bankai. I want to see it’s capabilities and why Yhwach was so scared of it

It's been so long since I've read the manga that I forgot about a couple of these reveals. Top three I want to see got to be Kyoraku, Kisuke and Yamamoto but in all honesty they'll all be a sight to see after so long without the anime

I can’t wait to see all of this animated. I went to Anime Expo in LA and you can even see the interviews that Tite Kubo, the VA, and producers on KZread, but they all say they’re gonna add scenes and make the series justice. This wasn’t the first anime I watched but this has a place in my heart cause it did make me branch out to other series cause when it ended… it left a hole in my heart 😭 😭 I was also in 5th grade when it first aired in the dub and it’s been years 😅 can’t wait to show my kids this show.

Ichibei and most importantly, Yamamoto's Bankai will be bonkers... The music probably cutting out as Yama says Bankai and we bet to see the transformation and Tenchi Kaijin making some kind of sound to let us hear how powerful it is.

Man. The way you described Yamamoto’s Bankai brought chills down my spine. I remember reading it weekly and being shocked at how epic that was. Can’t wait to see his and the other epic moments from this arc animated in the best way possible 😵

I cannot wait for the new season. I also love watching your videos as you explain what I don’t understand when very little information is given.

I really hope Shunsui's bankai is adapted to the anime with the visuals from the play it's portraying, and hopefully it comes with more interaction with his zanpakuto.

I’m still hoping to see Isane’s Bankai at some point.

@@Turnpost2552 So? It’s a captain’s duty to achieve Bankai. The only soul reaper to become a captain without achieving Bankai was Kenpachi, and that’s because he’s a freak. Also, Isane may not be a fighter by nature but combat skills are required to pass the soul reaper academy. And let’s not forget the ten year gap. Ten years is a long time for hardcore training and growth, especially when we consider what other soul reapers have achieved in a week or less.

I was actually hoping to see a "transcended" Byakuya. If any of the captains have put in the time and effort to get there, it would be him. He has the bloodline, the discipline, and the innate talent, plus, the audience love....

We better get Oetsu’s bankai in the anime version!!! Seriously god of the sword and we didn’t even see his shikai. He definitely deserves to be done well. I like his style and I’m sure his true zanpakuto is Mera (the chick with the red hair )

All of the Zero division for that matter. Kubo did them kinda dirty by the way they were one shotted by the royal guards. Only one who was impressive was Ichibei.

@@gammafrost Totally agree with you. They were hyped for so long and then they ended up being such disappointments. Hopefully they change that in the anime and we get more fleshed out fights between them and the royal guards. No disrespect to characters like Urahara and Shunsui but the fact that they had better showing against the royal guards than Nimaya who's the creator of zanpakuto says a lot.

@@willharry6835 honestly I didn’t expect him to lose in the first invasion. I would have liked him to stick around longer before being killed off by ywach. His death was very impactful but the fact that he didn’t actually fight the Quincy king and that it was an imposter was a tad underwhelming . Don’t get me wrong I get yamamoto gave into his anger too much and failed to properly analyze the situation but I would have liked it if he survived just a bit longer before biting the dust

I think Old Man Yama's is going to light up the screen and be the spectacle it was always meant to be. So much went into that reveal that there is no way they will screw it up. While not technically bankai, Yoruichi and Komamura's ultimate forms should be amazing, also! Really looking forward to seeing it all go down!

I'm wondering if we will get to see some additional stuff from Ichigo's new bankai. Tbh, what we got in the manga concerning his brand new, proper, zanpakuto was a monumental letdown when you think about how much time was devoted to Ichigo getting it, his shikai is just more of his old one and his bankai is removed from the fight before it can do anything. It would be great if Kubo expanded upon what his new bankai could actually do.

Honestly Id love to see Ichigo's True Zangetsu more. We didnt see it all that much and its very unknown, and cant wait to see it in the anime. Same for Unohona's Minazuki

Hey MrTommo2304.... would also like to see a prequel series of how the Gotei 13 was created or how each person came to be? We did get some from of the artist but in small flashback pieces, but I would like to see how each person even the Vice Captains and Lieutenants became who they are you know.

Imagine when Rose activates his Bankai in the anime he plays the Clavar La Espada theme…

Just some personal flashback: back in the days during the Arrancar arc a friend of mine jokingly mentioned how bad ass it will be when Unohana activates her bankai, like seeing bursts of blood. After reading it on manga, i think he guess was pretty close.

While we did see Kensei activate his Bankai during the fake Karakura town arc, we never really got to properly see it in action. The anime has a chance to really show it in action.

I hope we get more explanations to certain bankais and what they actually do. I also want to Zero divisions to all have their bankais be revealed in their fights, also Jushiro's unless maybe they reveal his for the hell arc if that even happens (fingers crossed) I would also hope we get a flashback(s) of the Orginal Gotei 13 vs a younger Ywach maybe then we can see why the gotei back they were viewed as criminals vs the current gotei that are more benevolent and honorable for the most part. I wanna know what Minazuki, Unohanna's bqnkai actually does like is it blood or acid based or is it an illusion she can manipulate kind of like Aizen explaining why her and Kenpachi both become skeletons in their fight

This is probably an unpopular opinion but Rose's Bankai is my favorite in the whole series (along with Shunsui Yama and Kenny ofc) and it's a shame it got beaten so quickly. Only problem I had with TWBY was that a lot of high level captains were made into fodder so fan favorite characters (Renji in this case) could get their arc defining moments. I understand it was to build stacks but Kubo had Mask looking like SS Aizen out there.

Kisuke is my favorite character in the series and his bankai is in my top 5. Its so incredible I'm hyped for the anime to return.

I hope we get to see ishiin and ryuken fight more together even if they only show bits and pieces throughout. Maybe get to see ishiins bankai!

I hope that Kubo is able to expound upon his ideas and bring forth some of his other ideas in the anime. I would be totally fine with watching filler/backstory for some of the characters in this arc.

Isn’t it poignant that the Soul King Palace had 5 smaller palaces of the Zero Division, and Silbern also had the quintessential 5 pointed Quincy Star? The parallels…🤯

Any chance you could cover the bounts at some point? I know most people probably aren’t a fan but I think they are extremely interesting and it would be great to get a video on them

Hopefully if the anime goes really well and people want more we’ll eventually also maybe get some Can’t Fear Your Own World OVA’s or something like that. I’d really like to see Shinji, and Hisagi’s Bankais. Especially Hisagi’s though because I think the concept of his Bankai is just really cool.

Yeah Zanka No Tachi for sure. Brave Souls just release a Zanka No Tachi version of Yamamoto and he dropped for me and I upgraded him to full lvl 200 and he's so much fun to play with, got me hyped for the anime.

you know, I actually wonder if Ichibe's Shin'Uchi would be possible to perfectly portray in the anime. The thing is, the Bankai literally lets Ichibe control ALL black ink, including the ink that makes up the characters and panels, it's a very metaphysical power. And things like Yhwach's sword's name being covered in ink and the outlines of things really only work in the Manga because the anime won't have a speech bubble for Ichibe's Shin'Uchi to cover with ink.

The later Bankai shown in the series definitely got fancier

I think that Kenpachi's bankai will have similar vibe to Ichigo going Vasto Lorde. Actually both start similar way, Ichigo hears Orihime and Kenpachi hears Yachiru which happens in their minds. And both work similar turning user into blood-thirsty monsters that can detect the enemy but will attack allies if they get in the way which i belive Kenpachi would also do if Byakuya or Toshiro tried to calm him or stop

Shunsui has always been my favourite character but I must say Yama-ji's bankai has got me twitching. Out of interest, why didn't you feature Tosh? I know we've seen his Bankai before but it was not really more than a Shikai + now that manga readers have seen the end result.

Mr. Tommo is my new favourite hype man. It’s fun to be reminded of how awesome Bleach is.

I just wanna see Ichigo's new bankai in action before it gets broken, if it does get broken.

I'm just sitting around listen to Bleach openings every night... biding my time until the anime returns. Sometimes it still feels like a dream 😅

If we don't get cannon filler to flesh this arc out with back story on some of these events and characters, they should make a cannon movie for the events that lead up to this situation (i.e 1000 years ago and beyond).

I do wait to see all those bankais animated, but i wont say i'm excited all that mutch. I am more excited for sternritters to be honest. BTW. Am I the only one wishing to see entirely new bankais from characters that didnt show it in the manga like Iba and Isane? If not vs a sternritters, then meybe vs some quincy troops? Or hollows? I do think we could get 1st and 2nd invasion, then break it with a good, short filler or a flashback before returning to the main plot.

I can't wait to see Zanka no Tachi in animation being the most powerful among the bankai in Bleach. I also look forward to seeing Katen Kyōkotsu Karamatsu Shinjū, as Shunsui kyōraku is my favorite character

I would go back to the Zanpakuto rebellion arc and look for the skinny guy with the backpack. He is Sasakibe’s Zanpakuto and he does show his bankai form if I recall.

If they do the TYBW arc justice the anime world is literally not ready for how fucking cool this will be. The Bleach anime will literally take it's place once again in the pantheon of great anime. That's only if they do it justice which so far sounds like they are aiming for that with the sheer amount of talent and resources it's been given.

Since the anime won’t be chasing the manga, I hope that they use filler space to give battles we wanted, extensions of scenes and battles that were cut short because of time, and plot holes filled in. It’s not like Kubo don’t know what bleach fans want!!!

Extremely excited for Rukia, Unohana, Kisuke, and Yamamoto reveal in the anime. They have so much potential in an animated format. 2022 Bleach still sounds like a fucking fantasy. I have so much faith

The two I'm most looking forward to are Yamamoto and Kisuke two of my favourite Bankai in the series.

Imagine the weight that Yama's Zanka no Tachi will have on the screens for everyone to witness

I hope they add to these scenes in the anime. Don't need another remake of how they did Guy's 8 Gates dirty in Naruto.

Although I don’t generally expect the anime to rework points of the plot, I would really love to see Shinji’s bankai get a chance to shine. Given how disappointingly the Gerard fight ended, and the general dismissal of the visard in this arc, I do think Shinji could easily play a role in that fight. I have this concept that his alliance conversion can cause discord between Gerard, and the heart of the soul king

Do you think Kannonbaraki Benihime Aratame can use the Shikai abilities on a bigger scale?
