Thanks for the list and your insights! My kid brother is about to graduate from college and I've been thinking about getting him a leather bag, so this really came at the perfect time!

Yeah I always liked them but only recently realized how well priced they are

Saddleback Leather is doing life-changing work around the world, in addition to making g amazing gear.

Love the “not remotely subtle” on the Saddleback briefcase.

Haha i'm so glad I met Troy, the world's biggest superfan, it really made me able to push through my reluctance to go all in on Saddleback

Glad to see Cravar being included in the list, they are my go to as far as high quality leather goods are concerned, already have 4 bags, and counting :-)

Thanks for putting this together. Maybe you could do a similar video with back packs. A lot of us are lugging around heavy laptops.

No mention of Mitchell Leather briefcases? They have a reputation for making some of the highest quality briefcases in the U.S. Very expensive, though

Yeah! I'd have to include twill though so I could talk about Filson and Cravar! There's so much less demand for canvas/cotton briefcases but personally I love them because I'm not that dressy and because they're perfect with leather jackets

@@Stridewise I think part of that lower demand is people don't realize that there are as many great options out there as there are. I think canvas/cotton options fly under the radar for a lot of people, but with the general rise in popularity of waxed canvas clothing I think more will be aware and willing to check out briefcases. Always great to have an alternative to leather for pairing with leather clothes, like you mentioned, or for people who avoid leather for ethical/religious reasons.
