Paid off my house when I was 31. As kinda lost after wards since that was my ultimate goal. Now I’m getting into investing
I think I’m at sage 6? I’m a Dave Ramsey follower so I paid off all consumer debt and mortgage at age 33. I’ve been working a part time job(2-3 days a week) for 6 years now where I’m fortunate enough to have full medical benefits and 401k. Im about to spend a lot more time with my daughter/ family and friends. I also took up cooking, hiking, reading and travel. I have a travel fund of $50 and a 401k I’m contributing to for the company match of 6%. I took a 6 month sabbatical a few years ago but didn’t do much during that time. You inspire me to look into possibly going into business for myself. Congratulations on your FI journey and thank you for these very helpful videos!
I moved out of the house at 18 in 2013 and was in stage 0 depending on debt financing up until April of 2022 when I entered stage 1. I listened to an incredible podcast called Diversifying and thats when I caught wind of the FI movement and started digging deep into my why, really reconciling a lot until Black Friday in November 2022 with a net worth of $-21,583. My last shopping binge, I purchased an investing course that changed everything for me. Now I'm at the tail end of stage 2...I would say 2.7. I'm moving to a LCOLC, I'm $1000 away from having a Ramen Noodles emergency fund and $1664 away from being debt free of consumer debt. I improved my net worth by $14,693 in about 1.5years. Hopping to full reach Stage 3 by the end of the year.

Girl I'm so proud of you. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll reach your goals in no time. Being financially stable is so freeing that the sacrifice to reach this stage is so worth it. I'm rooting for you 🎉.
I’m currently at stage 2!
Nice tips Leila!
This video is a must share! Great video Leila like always
Love this video. I would say I’m at about stage 2.5. I have a plan to pay off my debt aggressively, but I’ve decided to wait until forbearance ends to implement it.
I’m stage 5. If I lost my job today I would take 1 year off then 1 year seeking a new job

Congratulations, I'm so proud you've made this far.
So inspiring and informative. Thank you ,Leila!
The progression is never as linear as you think. I'm at stage 7 but still feel a few back because I've gained and lost everything (hundreds of thousands $) twice in my life - once to excessive spending/debt and then blowing my inheritance instead of investing. At 62, I'm debt-free with a solid emergency fund and 3 revenue streams but no investments or assets. In my head, I know I can live comfortably but my gut tells me not to assume it won't all go away again. Is there such a thing as financial PTSD?
Currently in stage 3. I really liked this video. 😊❤
I'm at stage 2 and I feel like I'm so close but still so far. Since paying of my cc earlier this month, I feel even more impatient but I try to remind myself that if I stay the course, I can be debt free soon. Just 1 more debt to go (car) at this point and when I finally make that final payment, I'll be taking a much deserved break from working so much. Love your content because it encourages me and keeps me accountable 💞
This was a great video idea 😊
I loved this! I feel like I am anywhere between 2-4 because I am not very restrictive with my spending but I still have student loans and I am about to pay off my car.
I like this video, Leila! Id say I am at Stage 5
Stage 5 here! Great video!
I think I'm at stage 5? Never looked at it like this so i'm kinda surprised (and impressed?) 😅 Thank you for sharing the stages, I think this is my first video about this, might need to check our more to determine my stage better 😁
Interesting to hear your plans after you decide to move on from SF consulting. Hope you reach your goals!
I guess I don’t really know what stage I’m in. 😂 I don’t have FU money, still have debt (by choice, really), but I am coast FI and almost halfway to my FIRE number. I’m a weird mix of these stages. I just call it the “messy middle.”😂
I'm on stage 5... it was so good to use my FU founds to quit my last job 😂😂😂... son gonna get something better and compleate my journey.

Congratulations, so proud of you. I'm almost doing this because my FU money will last more than 3 years.
This was so interesting! You always explain things so well. Currently in stage 2, but working so hard to get to stage 3 🙌🏼 I cannot wait until we are completely debt free.
Love the content. ? What are some of favorite personal finance/ financial freedom podcasts??

Thank you! Definitely ChooseFI and The Money Guy
I’m at step 2. Hopefully no more than 2-3 years.
I feel like I am in stage 1.5, I feel like I am living paycheck to paycheck but do see the progress on paying off my debts.
Stage 4. Same boat as you🎉 LET'S GO ❤

Haha, F-U money!! Love that. This is what I'm working towards with building my CD ladder 12 month emergency fund. I think I'll be at stage 4 by the end of the year, but currently in stage 2. 18k in debt to goooooo!
What is when i have a morgage for a House?
I’m currently at stage 4
I would say I am at Stage 5? Or at worst somewhere between 4 and 5. Now I think I am staying at level 5 some long time before entering stage 6.
Love your videos!! ❤ I was wondering what you think of replacing the word stage with step? Stage makes me think of cancer maybe because my dad got diagnosed this year. Just a thought:
We are at stage 6
😊
