I agree with the engine temp gauge not only would it be useful but it would be a good way to show off there cooling systems at stoplights like you say

It will let you know if the bike begans to overheat. I have noticed the engine runs suprising cool. Sure the fan is gonna kick on, but you could ride in shorts and your legs are barely gonna feel the heat. I like that it doesnt have forward controls, but the mid controls is has is very cramped for a taller rider. The speed limiter can be fixed with an ecu flash or a speed healer. But i would get rid of the crappy stock tires before creeping to much higher than 100mph.

The mirrors drove me nuts and so did the seat. Swapped both out as soon as possible. Bar ends and a Corbin gunfighter seat. Can really dig into that throttle now without thinking I'm gonna slide off the seat.

You start to get tank slap when you’re doing 110+ the bike isn’t designed to go that fast. The grunt and acceleration is good fun.

I think I only disagree on the engine temp. It's water cooled...so who cared what the temp is at any given time. If you are leaking antifreeze then you know you have issues. I had a VROD before my Road Glide and I never ever worried about engine temp, because it was fully water cooled and you just don't have to worry. Rode it for like 6 years or so and never had a problem. I'm seriously considering this bike right now...I've see it, rode it and I love it.

That’s a good point. I still think I would rather have an engine temp gauge instead of a weather temp. I guess I don’t don’t really see the point in knowing the temp outside and would rather know my engine temp.

There’s an oil dipstick that has an oil temp built in. Not sure how accurate it is but might be worth it.

Kemimoto makes a good set of bar end mirrors. Corbin Gunfighter seat if you don't carry passengers, and Deprotto forward controls. If you go with T-rex foward controls just know that you will lose about 2 inches of ground clearance so you will drag pegs a whole lot easier.

Lol, no1 is the reason I'd buy this. I've got a 27" inseam and forward controls are too much for me. I got a 500 and with the Mustang seat I can do 3 hours a time.

The chain is the main thing I don't like... chain cleaning and tension is so annoying.

I made a stand out of wood which goes under the right side swing arm and use a trolley Jack on the left to raise which lifts the back wheel off the ground and it’s as solid as a rock. I even use a front wheel stand also when washing the bike.

@@kevinyoxall149 its annoying having to clean and lube the chain... but what I hate the most is adjusting the tension by adjusting the back wheel. If you keep this as a low mile bike I doubt you do it very often, but when you get 20,000 miles in a year, its really annoying keeping that chain slack right.

I purchased the 1100 t this year, here's why I didn't like it : wind buffeting, hard to reach handle bars , engine vibration and very small saddle bags, lastly is not a comfortable bike for long distance. Trade it for a 650 Vstrom and I can't be happier. I been riding bikes for 20 years and have owned over 12 bikes.

There isn't a ECU flash for the Rebel 1100 but there is an eliminator that will bypass the system to allow you to go over 98 mph. Lifeofburch put it on his. Your speedo will still read 98 but you can use a gps on your phone to see the actual speed. It makes the bike think that it is only going 98 while it is still climbing. I don't think it is really worth it as the 2021 has a max speed of 110.

Complain about anodize changing color if you leave your bike out in the sun is unrealistic. Doing over 100 MPH on a bike that's clearly labeled "Cruiser" is completely unrealistic, especially with the limited travel suspension, it's downright dangerous. So you really have 3 complaints. 1. No Temp gauge. 2. Foot position being mid and not forward, and 3. Everyone knows the seat absolutely sucks on the Rebel 1100.

i leave my cars out in the sun and they dont change colour. why do you think its unrealistic to expect the same from a new bike?

Corbin is one ugly seat....looking at buying the Rebel 1100T Bagger in '23,and fitting a fuel cell under the seat, spoke to a fabricator last week, easy job

In EU is the speed of this bike limited to 171kmh, (~106mph) and I really don't want to go faster than that on this bike without any fairings or so... 😅 Also the 6th gear is a bit short, there is almost no difference between 5th and 6th... So I think that the max possible speed limit can be around 180kmh/111mph... 😉
