If you can find the flaws of a person and can either help heal and remove it (if it's a negative part of someone's personality) or accept the flaws as part of being human, then I feel like you already are more mature than most

Is it silly to even love your significant other's faults? I even love it when he makes mistakes and even gets angry. I think he just absolutely adorable. I don't feel I want "perfection". A real person has faults. I hope he can accept me, despite my faults.

Thank you psych2go, i really needed this. I legit had a breakdown yesterday thinking i wasn’t good enough for him. We’ve been friends for 2-3 years and he recently confessed to me. We’ve been dating now and i realized how selfish i really am. I thought that when he was talking to other girls i felt really jealous. I realized how selfish i am to think i can be the only girl he talks to… then i thought about how he deserves someone better. But it hit me, he loves me for me. I’ll try my hardest to be a better person for him.

Try to figure out why you are jelous and find the time to have a small conversation with him, talk and discuss about all of your feeling so you two can understand each other. I'm asking this, because in what you wrote, I haven't seen you express that you love him. Only that he loves you, you accepted his love, and then you doubted him wanting you enough on your own, and then doubted yourself being good enough for his love, and then reassuring yourself you can deserve him... He takes care of me well enough too. I’m just scared i’ll lose such a gem in my life because I feel like i’ll make a mistake and he’ll leave..

You're not the only one, I never had a boyfriend either for all my life. But im really happy to be single now, cuz I heard, watched & read some things about guys were unacceptable, unfaithful, unappreciated, unsupportive, etc.... towards the girls & also craziness & evil things going on in this cruel world. My college best friend had a really bad relationships from all of her ex boyfriends & some cheated on her, never appreciated her, some didn't give her gifts, some are drunk, violent & mean towards her. I felt so sorry for my bestie but me & my mom support her & tell her that I know love hurts but its the circle of life, the important thing is to move on, enjoy life & focus on friends & family who loved u more than those guys, men are not worth it.

The last relationship I was in ended with us realizing it just wasn’t working. Haven’t dated since. Feels bad but at the same team free.

Same for me. I feel a desire to be in a relationship, to give and receive love, but I know I'm not in a healthy place for someone else right now. Plus, I can focus on myself and not feel any pressure to be there for a partner who needs me. The free space and fresh air are so relieving, it almost makes me never want someone in my space! When/If I do have a partner, I want to be able to enjoy my free space when needed and be the best I can be both with and without them. Not a half-cooked product that gives them salmonella.😅

Same but I ended it myself cause I realized that I just wasn’t ready yet after that first date. Plus a horse business out in a dirty ole trailer park gave me some red flags. I still get the wondrous stares from the ladies around me from time-to-time but it takes me too long to ask out anyone I manage to get even a little more familiar with.

I had a girlfriend, and it wasn’t the best. I was having panic attacks every day hyping myself up to break up with her. It went over pretty well, but even though the relationship wasn’t all that good, I still learned a lot about what I want out of a partner, which were things she wasn’t providing. Especially when you’re first dating, it can feel scary, and there’s a fraction of a fraction that you’re gonna find the one on your first try. But you have to go out with not so good people to figure out what defines not so bad people, and putting yourself out there early can be really beneficial to figure that out. And who knows! Maybe you’re not attracted to anyone! That’s ok! Experimentation is key.

My crush helped me get out of the idealization stage quickly, probably without even realizing it There's probably more, since she's a public figure, but knowing I've gotten over the start helps me believe the rest won't cause a problem to see for what they are

When it comes to all points, I definitely feel that I have that when it comes to a good online friend of mine. He seems to be very accepting of me and I'm accepting of him. We also both support each other by getting each other's opinions on things. He also lets me vent at times, and I apologize to him everytime because I don't like being a bother to him. Everytime he says it's fine though. We both talk to each other almost everyday. We both share the same values and goals when it comes to our personal lives. We both respect and trust each other. I'm not sure how he feels about me but I feel deeply for him. No matter what happens though, I want him to be happy because I wish for him to have happiness. 😌😊

Useful video - many thanks for it. Before starting a relationship, you probably need to watch some videos, and read some psychologists and coaches. Relationships are easy sometimes, and then, just as you're comfortably soaring on cloud nine with a glass of bubbly in one hand and a canapé in the other, it can take a nosedive again resulting in grappling with obstacles, misunderstandings, and issues that just suddenly seem to sneak up on you. Immature love is possible for relationships and early love in teenagers. And mature love is stability, respect, communication. Every couple should strive to have a healthy relationship.

I'm taking the lessons learned from my past relationship and making sure along with the right person, I am mindful of the mistakes i did and not repeat them this time

She was scared to be pregnant so i got scared as well and needed someone else to talk to so I talked about it with my mother. In the end she was not pregnant I did everything to comfort her and I bought a test for her. Our relationship was over or broken after that bc I did not ask her before talking about it with my mom and she was pissed. I still do not know it was my fault at that moment I felt all kind of emotions just like she did so I really needed someone to talk to. I did not apologize to her bc I thought it was a rational and normal thing to do and so said everyone else who is close around me

My mother couldn't accept after she saw I was giving him money every month and always supporting him. So he took what my mother said as my word and said he will never assume our son... im hopeless

Amazing Tips, Thanks for Sharing

Due to some events i currently live with a quite severe depression and on the course of my life i had several attempts at my owm life. I went to countless doctors and tried many types of medication. None worked. I met my current partner 10 years ago, and he helps me more than anyone or anything. He accepted my "demons" and is constantly doing all he can to make me get better. We accepted eachother with good and bad, and we openly communicate on it. I can say it's a truly tremendous way to keep our relantionship stable and healthy, we overcame some less fortunate moments and it made us stronger and wiser.

This! I’ve only been in 2 relationships so far (I’m 20), One lasting several months and one lasting several years. Both ended very badly, and I’m honestly not looking to be with someone again after those experiences, even though people will say how it doesn’t make sense, it’s what’s best for my mental health and my self esteem, being when I’m not involved with someone romantically I find myself a lot more happy, funny, and all around beautiful.

In my case I gave him everything I could, supported him when he needed. Now That I got pregnant he left me, I was so angry at him because I expected he would be with me during this fragile time, but now he is gone and blocked me...even changed his name. Is sad was 2 and half years of relationship. I tried to do my best but my mistake was to put him in a pedestal and love him more than myself.

People are flawed and flaws are the best and most loveable parts.

I have been in a relationship for 8 months,when things took a difficult end which came from the other side.It seems the other person Wasnt ready to accept some of my flaws which i was trying to work on.Unfortunatly things took an ugly turn after the relationship and i grew to highly dislike that person and i think i got an emotional wound regarding this person, although time proved to heal it bit by bit. I haven't been able to find someone else and i am struggling with a depressive episode which makes my life difficult sometimes,including the fact i constantly go betwenn i want to have a lover and i don't want. All of this makes me question my self worth sometimes..but i try to carry on and sometimes i struggle to do some things because they remind me of that person..

recently i ended my first relationship. my girlfriend wasn't mature to handle it even though she was the one that wanted a serious relationship. because of our psychological problems (me abandonment issues and her jealousy and possessiveness issues) we weren't this able to communicate. plus she used to forget my existence everyday like no reply's to my messages or once she didn't tell me that she was leaving the city for a whole week. at the end we argued and she ended up blaming me but i don't care because she was the immature one and i will be better for sure. hoping the best for you all :)

I’m in a 19 year relationship, and this makes me realize how lucky I am to have my partner!

My relationships have never lasted it has always ended in the person cheating on me. I just went through a divorce that lasted almost 5years, I feel like it’s always my fault and I’m never gonna find anyone. Maybe all my relationships have been immature.

I don't think I've even gotten to the immature stage yet because I've only had a crush and it would only last maybe a few days till I find deal breaker parts like: differing political views, kids/no kids, Religious/non-religious, or if she's married or already has a bf. If anything I've grown to be a bit envious of people who are married.

I ended my relationship cause of a money issue i feared that I'll be bank robbed if I keep giving her money for rent and I didn't want that happening to me again so i called it off and let her down easy since then I'm a person with much to give in this world just like the rest of you and with all this knowledge I'm learning i fear no pain when I'm with my friends i feel strength and wisdom 💖

I feel like if it's been a week you can send a message, you don't even have to ask her why she hasn't texted you can simply just say something/ anything as if she hadn't ignored the text for a week. When I'm really busy sometimes I don't get back to a text and will only remember when they send their next text. There can be so many reasons why she hasn't good or bad but you're going to find out anyhow so you might as well just send a simple text. That's my point of view if that helps ya!

Considering that we both are 14 years old, it is very mature, of course isnt so high like adults is but comparing with other people near my age I see has a diference. Maybe because we approached to each other because of our mental health, both have horrible ones, so we use to support each other when nedded.
