    Hi Geo, I bought this razor bringing my total to 14 razors. Feather AS-D2 included. I paired the 3one6 with a Supershave X blade, my first time with razor and blade. I got a bss shave with no irritation whatsoever! Alum block gave no stings at all. Your videos are great and really informative. It's good that we can still produce quality steel items here in England. Sheffield steel at one time was the finest and most respected in the world. Oh how the mighty have fallen!! Thanks again for a great video! Dave.

    I also love the scent of sandalwood, but most of all I like the smell of Cedar and Pine. They are more fresh and invigorating. I am glad that this razor shaves even more efficiently than the previous one. I prefer medium aggression razors to remove stubbles in fewer passes. Congratulations with another excellent review. Thanks Geo!

    I received my 3one6 in the mail from shavenation. I’m very happy with the razor. My only safety razor was the one advertised by a certain pawn shop owner. Don’t get me wrong it’s worked for a little over two years. But wow I just went from driving a pinto to a Lamborghini. Night and day, had no idea what I was missing out on as far as quality razors and equipment. Thanks for the recommendation, I look forward to many years of use.. only problem is now I want to try as many quality razors as I can.

  • @vladimirmach6145
    @vladimirmach61452 жыл бұрын

    I assume since the Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 hit the shelves, there really aren't many mountains left to climb. Frankly, this is the definitive safety razor. I understand the Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 Knurled as the final solution to the issue of finding the perfect safety razor. I've tried a few tens of DE safety razors but this one is the only one to embody the real perfection. Since the Edwin Jagger started producing the 3ONE6, there's no point looking for improvements - simply because there's nothing left to be improved. The shave is absolute. Does a man need a smooth razor? Here it is! Does a man need an aggressive, highly efficient razor? Here it is! The Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 integrates both immeasurable smoothness and strong efficiency, plus excellent material and finish. Frankly, I can't imagine any producer taking it further. No other safety razor (except perhaps the HLS Colibri) can compete with Edwin Jagger 3ONE6 Knurled.

    So if this 3One6 is more aggressive than a 34C or a DE89, does that mean it also feels more harsh on the skin? Or by aggressive do you just mean that it cuts better? Because I've had some razors that are more aggressive but also feel harsher and ended up not liking the experience *cough R41cough* whereas other razors like Merkur's 25C open comb razor with the long handle still gives me a great close shave and cuts hair is pretty effortlessly but doesn't feel anywhere near as harsh on my skin for whatever reason.

The reason I asked is that while i am interested in buying the razor, I have, from experience not enjoyed shaves from razors that are have positive blade exposure, or not neutral within reason, give or take blade width variation of course, causing multiple weepers and bleeding that I would rather avoid since I am on blood thinner. Alum helps of course but I'd rather not spend a significant amount only to find that I cannot use the razor. Thanks for the reply.

    I use the same tobs shave cream. However, I use a tiny fraction of the amount that you use. Just enough to mark the tips of the brush. I then make the lather on my face. I have plenty of lather for three passes,. Any particular reason you use so much? Looks like a waste of good shave cream to me.

    When you say it's more aggressive, do you mean it's more aggressive to the skin and it's more likely to get skin irritation? I have the DE89 and need a new one because the head broke so I thought I could give the 3one6 a try.

  • @AndreMonz

    More aggressive just means that the blade slides better on the face. It can either mean a better closer shave or a face covered in blood if you are too sensitive. This razor would be a awesome step up for your de89. BTW, how did you broke it? Greetings

    @@AndreMonz Hi André C, thanks for your response. So my de89 is now 7 years old, and the screw pin has just snapped off when I was trying to unscrew it to change the blade. It seems that the material of this pin is very bad quality and it seems a common problem with this head. I hope that makes sense.

    @@mrruhe6717 that cliché of the poor zamac reaching the end of its life. I am switching to stainless steel due to this common problem among wet shavers. One day will be my razor to die for good. I am covered right now but preparing for a better purchase. If you are wondering, these are the ones on this under 100 pounds that make more sense to me: Rockwell 6s if you like adjusting the blade exposure Muhle Rocca for a quite aggressive shave Edwin Jagger 3one6 for a smoother shave

    Rockwell 6S is an adjustable razor, requires switching out the plates. The 3ONE6 is a 3-piece. Kind of not comparing apples to apples.
