The 2025 Cadillac Optiq Is A Bold New Baby Luxury SUV With Escalade Vibes

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

While the first-ever #Cadillac Lyriq was off to a slow start when it first arrived in early 2022, the smaller sibling the #CadillacOptiq arrives later this summer and brings similar amounts of luxury and technology into a smaller and slightly less expensive package. The new #Optiq is Caddy's version of the just introduced #EquinoxEV and being built on the excellent #Ultimum platform, this luxury EV offers over 300 miles of range and nearly 300 HP with its dual motor AWD powertrain setup.

Happy Weds everyone! Just wanted to clarify that this car will NOT come with Apple CarPlay, we did confirm that with Cadillac. Apparently, for 2025 the Lyriq will also lose Apple CarPlay as well. Do you guys see that as a deal breaker? We’ll be spending a week with the Blazer EV next month and we’ll talk more into detail on if you can live with the Google system without the phone mirroring feature.

This looks even better than I anticipated for the entry level Cadillac EV. This is a true XT4 successor. I’m excited to see the XT6 successor’s review that is the VISTIQ. A larger more grander Lyriq that’s cheaper than the Escalade _IQ_ sounds like a Model X destroyer. *gm* is knocking their new products out of the automotive ballpark! 🔥

*gm* handed Honda an award winning fully electric platform and after witnessing what they have been able to pull off with their designs you’d think Honda would try to compete with the hard part already completed. Acura’s futuristic hearse is so disappointing. I honestly think Toyota/Lexus would’ve put more effort forward and made _much_ better use out of *gm’s* impressive Ultium platform. I’m grateful that partnership ends at the Acura ZDX.

MANUAL STEERING COLUMN?!? IS IT 2007? Sorry but luxury has certain standards. Power tilt telescope has been one of those for a looooonnnggggggg time. Power tilting up and out of the way when parking is extremely basic stuff, the car, otherwise, is great looking. But wow.
