I think he should check Aprilia bikes before doing this, like Tuono V4 Greg is a bit controversial client since he wants no tech like in jap bikes but also appreciates good suspension and top notch brakes which are stock on equisite european bikes.

I had a 2018 and loved it. It put a big old smile on my face every time I rode it. It really really made me feel like it knew where I was going , the handling was spot on. It's light, so a cross wind was a thing you had to pay attention to. And if you replaced the exhaust it was even lighter, never knew when you'd lift that front tire but controlled. I had to get rid of it or I'd loose my license for sure . It had a crazy power band where it just kept pulling ! Yes, you can say I miss it !!

The street triple is a Daytona frame and a daytona in general without fairings, so it’s literally a naked supersport, which is part of why it’s so great in every trim and why it feels like riding a 600 seat height wise, but with slightly relaxed and wider clip ons/bars and a less acute angle on the legs. I love it. Anyone who misses the Daytona can just put Daytona fairings on it and clip ons

I was surprised on your comments in the end vs the mt09 as the latter has much more torque peaking at a much lower rpm range ... Despite that however, the ST RS was absolutely fun to ride, very well balanced, very nice materials, brakes, electronics etc and a very nice intake noise.

I don't understand the comments about timing the downshift on the GSXR - it has a good slipper clutch which handles nearly anything you through at it, and none og the videos with it has anyway near anything driving where downshifting would be an issue. You can go 140 mph approxing a corner. Go hard on the brakes and just click down through the gears (6th to 2nd) and blast out of the corner no problem. The rear will be well behaved with a decent amount of engine braking. I would suggest doing this on track though ...

Oh and you didn't even get to experience full power, if you throw it in track mode it allows for 100% throttle activation. This bike wheelies on throttle in 1st through 4th gear. It will throttle up in 5th on a slight uphill.

I have both. A 2020 RS and a 2023 moto2. I don't find the moto2 much more uncomfortable than the 2020 RS... a little. The moto2 bike is much more like a sports bike into a corner. It does depend on what you do with it. I tend to just ride a few hours at a time so any position is ok.

From what people that own the bike and people that sold this bike before it sold out told me that the rear is actually not higher than the RS at all. It has the same spacer on the rear suspension and height as the RS, higher than the standard Street triple bike. But what makes the moto2 feel higher in the back is that it has clip-on bars that makes it lower in the front. So it is lower in the front with the handle bars and stuff but same height in the back as the RS. That is what people that own it and sell it said anyways. I would love this bike if I was shorter, but since I am 195cm (6'4) tall, bikes like this and the 890 duke feels like kid bikes to me. Otherwise if I could fit normally on a middleweight bike and they were not so small physically I would go for the Street triple before the other middle nakeds.

I've had the previous Gen speed triple 1050 rs for 2 years. I've been mulling over the idea of swapping it for the new street rs. The power and torque are very good but I wish it were a little more nimble some times. I could pretty much do it for no cost but just can't decide. The local dealer won't let me test ride one. Wankers. Probably have to wait for one to hit the used market.

@@hulkhulk5141 yeah the bike is gorgeous with them, like a perfect blend of modern hypernaked with a little nod to retro/cafe racer aesthetics without making the bike a full on cafe racer/retro bike. It’s really great with that addition and the bike itself is really great at least from what owners have told me.

mt09sp is much more aggressive, I tested the RS version but I didn't like it... mt09sp is a beast, the only difference I have noticed is that the triumph has better brakes, but otherwise... I put a hyperpro on my mt and the wobble problems are gone (hyperpro is a must on mt09sp)
