I took a demo bike out last week an did 200 miles plus. Speaking as a very experienced rider and track day addict, the 1200 is a complete weapon. It’s easy to ride at low speeds but get it over 9k rpm and it flys. I have no complaints - what a bike 👍🏻

In your poll or in YT shorts, I remember you asking which next bike and I remember commenting, get a Triumph Speed Triple, while everyone else were saying R1, BMW and the likes. That triple is a great, great bike. You should try to experience this bike more, now that you've felt and ridden in inline 4s, these have a different character altogether.
Going out tomorrow on my second ride from bringing it home from the dealer! Very excited! Great videos. Keep it up!
That color pops! Love it! They seem great, sound good as well, which is common with the triples.
I just purchased the same bike color and everything, I also added heated handgrips and TPMS sensors. I have a painted fly screen and visor that Triumph makes coming it's been on backorder. It does have a power outlet on the right side center of the motor. It's a great bike so far very maneuverable.

The tpms is gonna annoy the shit out of you. Your dash will always have a warning light because your tires are rarely on point especially with heat from ridding and depending on how long you let sit before next ride etc etc. You are better off just getting a little pocket tpm for like a dollar or two and just check yourself

This is what I call grown ass man review of a bike. No BS. Great job men.
I switched from Monster 1200S to this. Had mine for 4 months now, unfortunately have not been able to really see its full potential as it is winter here in NY. But so far it is absolutely incredible. Everything is premium, the power and torque is perfect, and it's so damn flickable yet so planted even on the windiest of days (20-30mph). I've only really heard of two complaints from most reviewers; 1 stiff suspension. yes it is more on the stiffer side but its not uncomfortable, its only really noticeable on horrendous roads that look like a warzone. The second complaint is finding neutral. yest that can be difficult but gets easier as it breaks in.

How did you feel about the change in engine character? I test rode a Street Triple 765 RS before buying a Monster 821, and as flawless as the striple is, I picked the Monster because I prefer how a V2 feels...and because Ducati was selling these under MSRP at 0% apr for 3 years in 2020 and 2021

@@DcCock One of the primary reasons why I wanted a inline triple again was because the loud grunt on my monster with the competition werkes exhaust was starting to really irritate me on longer rides. I do miss the snap, crackle, pops on those down shifts though. Both engines are special. I also love the sound of the high rev pitch on triples. And I got my speedy brand new 4k off MRSP. When did you get a good deal like that?
I own a 2017 MT10 and a new Super Duke Evo. I tried all of the nakeds and when you get into the Street Fighter or Tuono you get terrible gas mileage and the MT10 is not a whole lot better. I wanted to check out one of these Triumphs but none we available to test. Based on specs this and the KTM were at the top. I ended up with the SD because it was the most advanced, best gas mileage, most tech and the most insane torque I have ever experienced on a bike. I love the Triumph and if I ever get a chance to ride one it could be my #1 but this KTM will be hard to beat IMHO. Great vid!

Nothing wrong with that. I got the Street triple R and have now spooled 12k km on it and not planning to sell it. Just finished a 2k km tour on it in 7 days and it is just great. Just a tip. Not necessary to only look at the RS. The R may be plenty for you and save a few bucks. I did make a test ride on the RS and can only say that power wise it is not much of a difference. Suspension is also adjustable and brakes are also great. As beginner rider (EU) i could get to grips with the RS real quick. This bike is so nice to ride but so is the R. The rest of the extra tidbits on the RS are more track focussed. The R is not the lesser bike. Even had some extra cash to spare on extras such as bar end mirrors, engine protectors etc. And the R has the better tires. The supercorsas of the RS are useless in rain and the Rosso iii on the R are so much better. My recommedation is to have them switched to rosso iii or iv before taking delivery of the RS if you really want this bike. So my recommendation: Race track rider: the RS Mainly street: the R In the 12k km I rode, i found a naked bike is just the thing for me. And am addicted to the 3 cilinder feel. If I now were forced to switch bikes and wanting an upgrade I might take the newest 2023 spec street Triple RS or this speed triple RS.

Please review more Triumph motorcycles. Love your reviews.
I’ve own the 2016 675r and 2017 1050r. I want this one too. Easy bikes to ride with high performance and easy to maintain on your own
Hi Greg, been a long time! Are you doing any tracking? I had owned a 765 street triple as well as tracked it and would like to share my issues which might help out riders. I am an intermediate track rider, Chuckwalla and Fontana. I also do a little riding on 94 early weekends due to the idiots on the road, you know what I mean. The 765 quick shifter was very harsh especially on the track not so much on the streets, of course you're not pushing it on the street. I had issues with the shifting from day 1 and Southbay had taken care of it. The reason I sold the bike after the warranty was up is while riding the canyons, had the engine cut out for a second going in to a turn which was an eye opener. This happened 3 times as well as hitting a straight. I brought the bike in and they could not find the issue, not a good thing, so I sold it a week later. The engine was very nice but may of had electrical issues which I didn't want to spend money. Would not purchase another Triumph and went back to Japanese bikes. I owned a Ducati which wasn't reliable, owned it for 3yrs. and dumped it. The bike took 1 year to sell and lost $11,000.00. Very low mileage and looked like new. At this time I have my 1st. bike owned which my son purchased, a 750GSX-R750 and a GSX-R-1000R. The 750 is more for the track and the liter is for canyon and streets. For me this works and have no issues with either. Bullet proof! Are you still riding HWY 94?
People might not realize that triumph build quality and fit/finish are some of the best in the industry
Love my Speed Triple!
Considering the difficulty to buy the Moto2 version, I'd buy the RS, some third party clipons, plus a race fairing. It would make a perfect all-round road and trackday bike then I think. I could sell both my road and track bikes and just buy this.

Brother that's a nice bike I wouldn't mind test- riding one of them back in my younger years I Road a lot of sports bikes now in my sixties I just ride an old man bike
That bike is sick. It’s on my shortlist to replace my Street Triple RS.
I live in Tulsa Oklahoma, my local Honda dealership dropped KTM, and picked up Triumph, just looked at one of these RS 1200 yesterday, the weather here is crummy at the moment, but I did get to sit on it, feels really nice, the power maybe good, but they told me the Bike is in break in mode, so the computer cuts the power way back until you get over 400 Miles, then it unlocks everything, they say it really comes Alive after that, it seems like this Bike would be a good one to get, all that torque must be FUN.....
Thanks for this review!! . I. . this bike!! The only thing I'd change too is that license plate holder. I'd modify it so that it down, below behind the tire just as it is on the Triumph Trident 660.
Street Triple 765 RS 2023 next please!
It's not the highest numerical value on the tach that matters ("14,000"); it's where the redline starts. It's 11,500 for the Speed Triple and I think 12,000 or maybe a little higher for the MT-10.

I’m in Scotland and waiting a few months to get hold of one of these in orange but second hand.. I don’t want to buy new as they are about 2k cheaper pre owned.. I’ve not seen a second hand yet though 😢
For some reason the headlights and dash not attached and turn with handlebars bothers me for some reason. The tank is plastic coated I don't like. So it comes stock with no passenger seat? The Suzuki gsx s750 is a mile and hour faster top end for a lot less money.
Owesom but now I have a few questions, like what's the real advantage of the keyless start? Then a fully customizable engine, why does that exist? ( I hope my backwardness is not annoying but I think it's nice to master a bike's character and hence, develop a relationship of reliability ). And does triumph make small bikes? By the way who owns that parking lot that you always go to.
I have the 22 her it for about a year and a half and I love the bike but there was a lot of issues with it when it first came.out and it spent like 6 months in the shop. The worse part was triumph didn't give a fuck they ignored all the problems but luckily I found oc motorcycle and thru straightened me out

I currently own both the Ducati Street Fighter v2 and the triumph Speed Triple RS 1200, I did test ride the street fighter v4, i somehow prefer the speed to the street v4. The usability and flick ability plus the engine noise is better for me on the speed. Ducati v4 is definitely much more punchier at the top end but the speed has got better low end and a creamy powerband , unlike the Ducati that is ballistic, both the V2 and v4 at top end is crazy. V2 after 8k rpm just goes mad, v4 is even wilder. I'd say test drive them and decide, it comes down to personal preference.

One more thing, the triumph gets pretty hot and slightly unbearable during stop and go traffic, but the V2 street fighter is surprisingly cool. No idea how. My Ducati Street Fighter v2 is 2022, and the speed triple rs 1200 is 2023.
You’re a mind reader- I was speaking to a Triumph dealer & he told me that it has cruise control. I was comparing it to the MT-09 SP . Now I’m swayed .

That's a lot of bike for a new rider .I'm currently running in my tiger 900 and not hardly been over 6k rpm and can tell it has plenty of torque/power compared to my previous restricted vstrom 650 of 47hp ( license rules in nz ) How's your throttle control and self-awareness of your riding skills . If you take it easy and know your skill limits and don't push it you might be OK. Take some riding courses or get some help from someone or even get a smaller cheaper bike to practice on . I get it ,we all want power and tech on a bike, but one must be patient and develop the necessary skills required then get the bike you really want.

@@RideFree317 Throttle control is pretty good (I daily drive manual cars so clutch/throttle feathering, hill starts, shifting gears, and the "heel toe" equivalent in bikes is not foreign to me. I am pretty responsible and favor defensive driving 95% of the time but will still get aggressive if the road is not as populated and get on it hard if I am clear for 1/4-1/2 mile) A friend of mine told me that you can trade a lower power one in with decent value. However, I weigh almost 215 lbs so instead of a 400cc maybe I should get a 600-650cc instead? Too many options and I feel like 400cc would feel like a 25cc under me. I plan on taking 3-4 more courses as well. I am in NC so there is no tiered licensing here. For example currently used options here are 2022 Suzuki GSX-S750 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS 2019 Kawasaki Z900RS ABS 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (heard their uncomfortable though) Are all in a price range I would not cry about dropping. I was also thinking about dropping the sport for cruiser type bikes like 2023 Harley Low Rider S 2023 Indian Scout (and even the sport chief since I hear these bikes are friendlier to ride than sport bikes, which makes me want to buy what I want right away if I chose cruisers instead) I know that is long winded but I appreciate your positive feedback and constructive criticism. @@esjihn least you sound sensible and looking at options of bikes . Yes if your a bigger guy go for a 650cc if you feel like 400cc is just to small a bike for starting out I'd go for something with good mid range torque over horse power like the cruiser style or ninja650. Suzuki GSX , had one back years ago and loved it . The reason I say torque over hp is the more linear power is much more predictable and easier to manage when starting out and don't feel like they lack power cause they just keep pulling as opposed to a sudden surge of power like what you would experience from a zx6r . I'm 49 and like to think that my decisions and defensive riding skills are much better than when I was younger . @@esjihn glad to be of some help .I'm sure you'll love the torque that cruiser style bikes have .it's a nice feeling to be able to open the throttle from down low and they just pull away and keep going , less changing down gears to keep in higher rev range like a sport bike .I rode 2 up on my restricted vstrom 650 and it didn't really bother it much as it still retained the same torque as a full power version but capped hp at the higher Rev range of about 7 -8k rpm , so riding normal road speed 2 up was not a problem.
motor jitsu same one as mine but ice silver first motorcycle love her hope you do 👍

I've only riden an Ebike but am so wanting to upgrade to an actual motorbike. You'd recommend this as a starter bike?
