@@gullible119 I mean it’s one of the common gripes when it comes to aesthetics. I don’t believe something like this hinders sales, but it’s a noticeable complaint amongst reviewers. I’d like to understand the choice behind it though.

Pretty solid car, I personally prefer the style with only two screens, seeing more wood is just pleasing.

I used to have a 2002 E350. I looooved that car! Had a sought after motor. Donated it only because I couldn't afford the maintenance on her. 😢

Wow, that’s a great spec, and barely any vids on the new E450, thanks for the video!

You describing tire size, type, and turning radius just earned you a sub. That is very handy to know; those Continentals are nice(although not on tire rack and not all seasons?) but if I drop down to 20's I can get Pirelli Cinturato Weatheractives and those(plus tires like the Michelin Cross Climate 2's) are probably the best all around tires ever made. Which is really exciting; it is so frustrating when nice cars are hampered by terrible wheel size choices on the part of the manufacturer.

The tech is what will date these cars quickly. Vehicles that had more "traditional" interiors where there were buttons mixed in with a screen were far better. Part of an MB's charm is how well they age. I doubt these new ones will age like the Benzes from the 80s to 00s with their timeless styling both exterior and interior.

Ya they will age horribly. Unfortunately it benefits the manufacturers in multiple way. Adding screens instead is cheaper and they allow their cars to be dated faster forcing people to buy new ones

Retired now and returning my last gen E450. I’m going to miss it. Bought it for long drives to visit my too soon dying mother. Eyeing a GLS as a replacement and last car.

The rear wheel steering is NOT standard on any E class. It is part of a $3200 option that includes AirMatic suspension. 9:02

I ended up getting the 540 I, however, I’m always drawn back to the E class Mercedes. I parked next to an E450 the other day and it looks so much classier thanmy BMW. I think it’s just the grass is always greener.

I have a 2024 E-450 cabro-my first experience with the inline 6. And I can't say enough good things. It's far better than my 2019, which had the bi-turbo. But next car must have air-suspension!!

I honestly don't know who gave Mercedes the idea that we fancy this good for nothing screen, we prefer physical buttons for our climate control

Great test. Road noise has always been an issue with the E class. My 2018 has much more than I would like unless the road is smooth, and I only have 18" wheels. Be interesting to know how that road noise compares with other cars please.

It doesn't make sense to me. New C43 AMG is a 2.0l 4 cilinder and the E450 is a inline 6. First gen C43 was a V6 3.0l and the E450 was also a V6 3.0l (basically the same car). They should have put the new inline 6 in the new C43 AMG. Sales would skyrocket.

The previous Mercedes-Benz E Class for sure way more elegant and luxurious. The new one is more techy and copies Tesla’s. Nothing flows in the interior as in the previous model. Sorry, not my cup of tea. 🤔

E450 is expensive but has a charm. I could ot get the 540i even its $10k less. Horrible exterior on the 5. How did you get the center arm rest and lower dash part in brown? Mine is black. And I have the $2990 nappa leather update? I need to reorder - its delivery date is September.

I have an E63 wagon and will keep it forever.

I think 90K is ridiculous for an E450. A BMW 540i with good options stickers at 75K before discounts. That ambient lighting dance to the music is so extra and distracting for driving.

Commenting because you asked. I personally prefer the W213 over this generation. Now you might think I'm saying that because we tend to like what's old just like how many people said the W212 was better than the W213 when that was new. However, I think the pre-facelift W213 is much better and elegant looking than this. The interior and exterior just spoke volume and elegance. This just looks like a combination of metal, wires and rubber that's given an unnecessary touch of aggression and youthfulness. Maybe that's just me. The W212 or the W213 was never like this (Until the W213 facelift/redesign). That's also why I still prefer the W222 S class over the current gen. I love the cars and their technology, I'm just a true believer that old is always gold. I think with the major shift towards screens, many cars lost their "luxury" feel. I personally enjoy the feeling of being able to adjust your climate and turn your heated seats on and off without looking. Just memorize the button locations and the rest is history. That's my bit. Keep up the great work my friend. Recently discovered the channel a few weeks ago and have been loving every video so far.

I like the last gen interior and exterior design way better. This new gen lacks that cozy, classical, warm feeling with all that glossy plastic, glass dashboard and haptic control. Seeing reflections in the glass dashboard of the front passenger's side will become annoying over time....

You guys with the camera on the head remind me dentists. That fact makes me nervous a bit while watching the video)))

E450 is no AMG, it has the usual mercedes 9g-tronic gearbox, classic AT with torque converter, not the MCT speedshift gearbox...

I think the interior of the outgoing w213 is better than this new w214. The horizontal double screen > that this new rubbish

The side profile kinda looks like a cross between a BMW and an Audi.

This is one of the best Luxury sedans on a moderate Budget. U did a great job reviewing it! Would cop it any day

Simply elegant

The exhaust tail pipes are turned down towards the road surface, which allegedly improves gas flow through the exhaust system. Consequently there was no need for real exhaust trims on the lower bumper, unfortunately Mercedes went ahead and installed obviously fake exhaust exit trims anyway….. shame

W213 is definitely the most handsome and in my opinion the pinnacle of e class evolution. Kind of feel like the 213 will age better, especially as an amg

W213 mopf interiour is superior ✌️

It's a little less lux than it used to be in terms of the interior. The 2020 version, don't know the W number, had more wood in it and less ambient lights. I'm not a fan of the ambient lights and think Mercedes is overdoing it. There's no wood on the doors on this model. I don't love the hyperscreen either, would rather have wood panels. Also, on the exterior, what's with all the small Mercedes stars and star shaped lights. They look tacky IMO. So maybe the car is a little smoother and quieter but I think it's lost some richness to it.

I don't get why manufacturers think that by adding gimmicks that will most likely never be used, people will stop wanting physical buttons. It's a ridiculous trend. Also, Mercedes, please stop dropping build quality for funky BS. You're not attracting new customers, and the old ones are turning away.

The interior is just bad, Once the tech gets dated it’s going to look really out of date, Atleast the W213 had a nice design and leather and wood everywhere on the dash
