The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Is A Right Sized & Priced Electric SUV For The Masses
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
While the electric vehicle space continues to grow exponentially, the price tags of these vehicles have also gotten out of hand. For 2024, #Chevrolet thinks they’ve cracked the formula with the first ever #EquinoxEV. This all-electric big compact SUV will start at just under $35,000 later this year and offers over 300 miles of range. The #ChevroletEquinoxEV should give Tesla a run for its money as it heads to dealerships right now.

i can get one that low 7500 off the price then add 2500 for my bolt then another 5k after i trade my bolt in
2022/2023 Bolt had 200hp, 266 lb.ft of torque and did 0-60 in 6.8s. I got 2023 Bolt EUV premium trim for 32k, which after tax credit resulted in $25k. It has everything, from ventilated front seats to all four heated seats, digital back view mirror, and many other things. It gives me real-world range of around 300 miles in city driving. That is an EV for masses. Hopefully, 2026 Bolt will carry all the good things that they offered in 2023.

You're not supposed to be using the full battery capacity for normal day to day driving. The closer you come to fully charging/discharging the faster the battery degrades over time. So not really 300 miles of real world range.

@@NoName-ml5yk This isn't true at all. You can charge a battery up to 100%. You just don't LEAVE it at 100% for days or hours at a time. You drive it right away. Of course no one drives 300 miles locally in a day, so there's no reason to charge to 100%

Most thorough review I’ve seen so far - well done! Test drove one a few days ago - this car really delivers!
Awesome review and love that you got to review the (current) base model - as with the tax rebate ($38k) you're touching the top of mass market pricing - hope this sells really well for Chevy / GM. Really surprised you're getting leather seats at this price level too (was assuming it'd be cloth).
Great job & I buy this Chevy Equinox EV soon.
I've driven these quite a bit during testing phase and I've always spoke highly of them. I think for an affordable and convenient smaller ev, this does very well. The RS is the only trim level worth it though, imo. I'd actually consider one myself in all honesty. What deters me is no android auto/carplay and range and power are too low for my interests. Tech and amenities are favorable and plentiful, and the rear seat is very roomy given the size of the vehicle. It's a good likeable vehicle. Just wish it could go a little farther with a bump in power.

This is a nice looking EV/SUV. We are still driving and enjoying our 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. Chevrolet replaced the battery and our range increased to 258-270 miles at a full charge. The zero to 60 time is approximately 6.5 seconds. It has 200hp and it's very spacious and practical for it's size. It will seat five adults comfortably. Great review...you really are one of the BEST reviewers! I thought GM said all trims would have the same battery??? Also @1:50 you quoted GM as saying ALL models would have the 85kwh battery. Maybe you mis-spoke? @11:51: Dual Climate zone only comes with the 3 level trims (3LT & 3RS) you do NOT get it with the 2RS trim (according to the "Chevy E-EV configurators tools". There are a LOT of things to love about this car. I think GM Chevy has a winner on their hands. With that said there are few things that I don't like: 1 - To get the Universal Home Remote you have to go with 3LT or 3RS trim....why????? ARGH! 2 - No Heads up display at all? That is an oversight IMO. It should at least be on the 3 Trims and available as an option on other trims. 3 - Ok this is a nit but why the blue trim on the interior? Blue is actually my fav color but if you buy a LT whose exterior is Red but you get blue accent inside???. Weird! They should have used a more neutral color in place of the blue so that it would work with any exterior color...if they wanted to be color coordinated.. I'm jussayin..... 4 - And where is the digital rear view mirror???? There is no option for it on any Trim. That's disappointing. Question: You said the seats are black? But they look grey ~@8:26...perhaps it was just the lighting? Question: Looking at "configurator" for the E-EV and I notice that the 2LT trim doesn't have "LED Tail Lamps" I wonder what those look like vs non-LED Tail Lamps? Question: That Galaxy Grey looks an interesting purple-ish grey color...or was that just the lighting, also?

How are you confused? Did you hear the prices and trim levels? It’s pretty straight forward. Then there’s always their ICE lineup if you need clarification where something is in the lineup. Seems like you can get everything on this vehicle except Carplay and a head up display. I test drove a Blazer and that 17 in screen looks so much bigger in person. People will like the normal knobs an switches for climate control and volume.
Does the Equinox cameras record to a USB drive?
The Chevy website states as of 6/21/24 that even the 1LT comes with a 17.7inch display and 319 mile range! If the price doesn’t change which I’m sure it will be more when it comes out but if it doesn’t then I will order the 1LT as soon as I can. Wonder when they will allow us to start the orders?

Thank you GM for making the sunroof/glass roof optional. GM did well with this vehicle. I wish they would have offered ventilated seats as an option on the 2LT. Not offering wireless phone charging is stupid.
I wonder how the ride will be with the 21in wheels vs the 19in wheels?
I have a Blazer and it seems that whatever this car lacks, the Blazer received and vice versa. One glaring one is SuperCruise , power moonroof and front parking sensors is what's missing in the Blazer. It seems unless you custom order one, you won't get the specific car you want
Is the blue a preproduction thing? Seems the the only version I've seen of this car at shows is the bright blue exterior with the while roof (which I like very much).
I agree with you on that blue, it’s too much!
A few aspects I'm a little confused on: 1. The upcoming Cadillac Optiq is essentially a premium/luxury version of the Equinox EV. The Optiq AWD (standard) with a 85kw battery (same as the EQ), has a 300mi range, where as the Equinox EV AWD has 285mi range. 2. The Optiq has 300hp total, and the Equinox AWD is 288hp. *Is there a software lock on the Equinox (range and horsepower) to make the Optiq more "premium"?
LT trim will have same battery as other trims. Nedd to correct your video. Also honda prologe is similar to blazer EV not equinox ev
Another KZreadr indicated Google Maps/Routing on the Equinox EV is a subscription service. Can you confirm? If so, do you know what the subscription fee is?
I’m ok, I’ll wait to try and drive this on any rental cars company.
The 2lt starts at $43k, add on taxes and other “fees” and it’ll go up to minimum $47-48k, maybe even $50k. After tax credit that’s $42k and if let’s say a down of $7k you end up with $35-32k - and this is for the base 2lt. Kind of expensive still considering that would end up being $600-$635 /month for 72 months considering the awful APR’s rn. I would definitely not say that this is something for the masses. So far, the bolt is the only ev created that was actually FOR the masses
Get the base model---wrap it, put Caddy Optiq badges on it ( same vehicle right?) nice medium drk blue window tint, intieor seatcovers, door panels, led strips, etc. speakers. Use you cellphone for Android Auto with an aftermarket dashcam ( if it can be incorporated into the area behind the mirror) and aftermarket rims and tires. Now you have the EV for you for 4 years until you tire of it---interior you love-extiero that stands out and cheaper than Chevy wold charge once you started upgrading models and extras!! I do it with Mercs and Hondas!
The rear seat catch is huge, and looks downright dangerous.
