Thanks for getting to this review Avran. I saw it hanging on your wall last week and was wondering when you were going to get to it. I saw the team work up design and production hype coming out of the Ride camp on the Zero, but I wanted an honest and objective review from someone who knows how to articulate the feel and character of the board.

Thanks man your boot fitting vid saved me from buying a new pair, and much pain.

Bought this a couple weeks ago and been out about 6-7 times. It was a bit out of my skill level (used to ride a lot, but took about a ten year hiatus), but has encouraged me to be really committed and aggressive in my practicing. I’ve progressed super fast again this season and really fucking love it for all-round and street riding I’ve been getting into (MN rider so I ride 300ft vert🤣🤣) i love it so far though. Def gotta work for the butter, but I love how much control the edge gives me. It’s rewarding lol

file the contacts and the rebound will allow some grace, on the top to bottom rotations if your getting back into it.

Just ordered myself the ‘23 161W. The Zero has been on my radar as my intro to park board since last year, and they have it marked down $100 on the website so I said yolo. Currently sending the 158 Warpig and it’s an absolute all mountain beast for me. Looking to learn park and riding switch on top of how to ride camber. Time to eat edges this weekend?

I like shirt. Snowboarding does suck. It costs a ton, demo days r slim. So much hype n anecdotal reviews, I appreciate ur review.

The OG Zero was the first Ride I purchased. I am now on my 5th Ride, the best I have found was the DH2!

I learned basically every trick I can do now on a dh2 from like 2011-2013

It sounds like this is the non- volume shifted version of the 2022 twinpig. Do you think one is better than the other particularly if you have size 11.5 boots and want a do-it-all board?

Basically it goes Zero, Twinpig, Benchwarmer for flex. I'd rather ride this than the Twinpig.

Hey Avron. I was wondering how agressieve is the camber section, is it kinda like the benchwarmer? Looking for a board with the same.camber profile as the helix but with a little softer flex.

I'd go with the Huck Knife first as it's the stiffest so it'll handle all mountain better, then the zero, and finally the ply.

How does this compare to the Yes Greats and Gnu Riders Choice? Looking for an asym board that can lay trenches and boost side hits at Mammoth. Thanks for lifting up the community!

RC is damper and less lively, Greats is a little more playful between the feet. Each has a unique ride on edge. I think the sidecut on the Greats is better for going deeper on the heel than this, but the RC is more precise.

Excellent review. Thanks for taking the time to do a good thorough review. What's your size recommendationon this board for 70% park 30% riding around hitting anything thats on the path. No big jumps just rails and mid size jumps. 172lbs, 5'10" 9.5 boots. Intermediate to advanced rider just taking it a bit easier now that I'm at my 40s.

@@AngrySnowboarder agreed, all my park boards have been 152-154. This one comes in 151 and 155 that's what threw me off. Wasn't sure which way to go. Maybe I missed it but I did not hear what size you tested.

Sounds a lot like the Algorythm review. Is the Algorythym just a beefier version of this outside of the asym heel side?

Well this is twin asym so there's that. It's also more freestyle focused.

do you think i need to get the 154w if i have size 11 boots? im about 5'10 180 lbs. im not sure if i should get the 151, 154w, or 155. ive had a 151 since 2003 and my boots and bindings fit on it pretty good. my other option i was looking at was the Public Dispute 153. sidenote im looking for the board to be poppy and playful. thanks dude.

Just ordered a more freeride focused board for big powder days and hitting steeper stuff at the resort, but Id like to work on spins, side hits and being more playful as well. I've got a discount on ride boards, is this the one you'd suggest for that? 210lbs 10.5 boots? A shop recommended this in 154 wide. Also sounds like you recommend the bent metal transfers so I wouldn't need different bindings

I'm 5'4 145 size 9 and just ordered a 147, I'd go no bigger than the 151 especially at your weight. I'm a little dude but definitely prefer smaller boards in the park!

Can't decide between this or Twinpig. I'm 5'7 at 210 so zero I'd have to go 159 or twinpig I'm leaning towards 151 or 154.

Hey female here ! Have been looking to buy this board for park progression, but I’m worried it will be too stiff for me. I would probably go for the 151 as im 5’8 in height and wear a female 9.5 boot. My question is, do you think this will be too aggressive as Im used to riding ‘female’ boards, and will it be heavy for jib lines - seems like the perfect jumper though. My other options are YES Rival, Ride Saturday, Capita Birds of feather and Salomon No drama. Can’t quite decide..

Hi Angry. Looking for a snowboard for my son. 11 years old, 5.4 inch, 110 pounds, size 7.5 boots. He is experienced for his age. snowboard 40-50 day a year. Like to butter, tight trees riding, box and rails and carving. East coast (quebec, canada). Considering unisex adult board. Does the 147 ride zero good fit or maybe yes basic 146? But then you get into the ole if you acknowledge them are you giving them more light and oxygen that they don't need augment, vs. sticking to your guns and calling out trash where ever it is no matter what, else how far will it go until it is called out. Then again a lot of Bull tends to work it self out in the long run as well. Everyone acts like I'm new to this, but few realize I wrote my first snowboard review around 04. I had my first industry job in 1997, that's 25 years ago. I've had 3 seasons since then under 100 days .2 due to injury. I've seen so many poser fucks come and go but the one thing remains the same their cancerous bad advice remains. People are oblivious to it because they are just people that snowboard and not snowboarders. It's a blind leading the blind mentality that has caused a spike in the last 5 years of false bravado and ego of the Google Expert. I have no problem admitting when I don't know something, but I also know what I am an expert at. 25 years is a long time and I don't just have knowledge I also have wisdom on my side. They do not.
