Yep, came here to comment that, too. I own this vehicle and both the front passenger and driver’s seats come standard with massager function at the ST trim level. In fact, if you look at his video at about 8:13 or so, you can see on the screen that it has a button for the passenger seat massage adjustment 🤦🏼‍♂️

I went from a 2018 Ford 150 Lariat fully loaded to a 2022 Ford Explorer ST and man I am so happy i went with the ST! This SUV is everything and all that i have ever wanted in a vehicle! It is super nice, has all the performance you could ever want, looks great, the handling is amazing. The speed. I am so happy!

This thing looks absolutely awesome. Most definitely better looking than the Telluride and Palisade without a doubt.

Rented one of these in July of this year and fell in love with practically everything. Couldn't afford a used one that was at least a 2020 so I ended up going with the 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid and just love it. My only complaint would be that it's co-pilot 360 is not as advanced as the 2020 Explorer. I could basically let go of the steering wheel in the Explorer whereas if I try that in my Fusion it kinda drifts trying to correct itself and it's not as great as the Explorer when trying to stay in between the lanes but overall it's still decent and something I've gotten used to so it's not so much of a dealbreaker anymore. Everything else is just as great as the Explorer was in a sedan

Just one thing to note I recently test drove one of these and the passenger seat does also have the massage function. Doug states only the drivers seat, but both front seats have it.

Just bought a 2022 ST with the performance pack. Extremely happy and impressed with what you get for $60k. Other vehicles that check all the same boxes (minus some, in some cases) are $70-80k. Not sure if Doug missed this, but the drive and passenger seats are massaging. Might not have been available in the 2019 year he reviewed?

Not in the 2020 model. Only the 2021 model has driver and passenger massage seats. Not sure about 2022 models

Great review, as usual, Doug! One detail you missed...the rear USB port is NOT the only one, above it is another in USB-C form...very forward thinking of Ford!

Old explorer is 100% better on inside ( unless your a base model old explorer than nevermind ). I went to test drive a ST at my local ford dealer and I did not find the interior very appealing at all, in design or comfort. It is also very loud compared to its competitors in its price range, definitely not worth $60,000 I say $48,000 at most.

I agree with Doug...the vertical mount makes the camera pictures too small. It is better on a lower end Explorer with a horizontal screen.

Awful, awful. Subaru did a good job with their 11.5 inch screen in the new Outback/legacy; it's built in and looks like it's part of the car and not an after thought. That's how it should be done. *PS can't get past how ugly it is. So bad I couldn't even finish the video.

12:22 there are two USB ports right there. One is a type A the other is a type C. Which is actually really cool that Ford put a type C because a lot of new phones and laptops are starting to use it.

The massage is on driver AND front passenger seats. Both are adjustable from either the infotainment screen or the knobs on the side of the seat (initiate it by pressing the button in the center of the cross pattern on the side of the seat).

I believe Ford still holds on to some Land Rover patents. Ford was also heavily involved in the redesign of the Range Rover products. Hence,the aluminum body, supercharged Coyote V8, and 3.0L eco diesel V6

T 15 I’ve been saying this for years but the Ford Fanboys get so defensive about the JLR ownership that ended in 2008 it’s is now 2020 and Ford might as well merge back with them, The Explorer & Aviator have HEAVY Range Rover Sport & Discovery design cues everywhere & Lincoln just won’t give Jaguar their grille back. I’m curious onto what “intellectual designs / properties” Ford owns from JLR but at least its Reliable imitation at its best.. wishing Lincoln would go back to their own signature Waterfall grille versus this “intellectual design from JLR” crap.

Great video bro!! My wife is trying to convince me to buy a F150, but I see everyone driving Explorer, so I decided to give it a test run....and I must say I am hooked on this ride. Definitely getting this ride in the future!! Just no way I’m paying 50K for a ride that will lose value when I drive it off the lot. Do you have a a video of the limited edition explorer?

Another interesting ST badging feature is at night when you unlock the car it projects the red ST logo on the ground from either side mirror.

Rented a new Expedition this summer and drove it 3000 miles from Texas to Florida through some amazing cities and countrysides. Loved every bit of driving it. I’m sure the new Explorer will be just as nice! Thanks for the vid Doug

If you implement a vertical infotainment screen, and in addition you have a horizontal digital cluster right in front of you, why not display your rear camera there?🤔

@@vee6411 Most of the times people drive in reverse, they drive in a rather straight line. I don't think the steering wheel would be in the way, to be honest. Besides, you can easily look around it. When it comes to turning your head to look at the screen: isn't that the same when your rvc is displayed on your infotainment display?🤔

@@wvd07 Every time you back out of or into a spot, you crank the wheel. Or parallel parking, you also crank the wheel. Who drives in reverse in a straight line? I don't even look at my camera unless I'm checking to see the guidance lines or distance between me and what's behind me. I find using side mirrors much easier. But maybe that's just me, this generation seems to love cameras and rely on them completely 🤷‍♂️

The 2020 Explorer is badass. I just bought a 2020 Explorer Limited for my wife. Granted, I am a Ford fan. However, my wife is not. She is bourgie as hell. She was talking Porsche Macan (yeah right), Audi Q5/7, Volvo XC60, etc. I told her she had to at least go look at the new Explorer. We left with one. It has EVERYTHING. Heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, middle row captains chairs, huge space in rear, automatic everything, massive sunroof, and on and on. It’s ridiculous. We couldn’t be happier. It has a wireless charger for your iPhone. It has USB-C fast charger ports, it’s, yeah I said it before, ridiculous. I’m so glad I talked her into a Ford. Plus, I get to tell her, “I told you so”, so it’s priceless.

I’m in the market for a new SUV and have been watching tons of car review videos, I had to drop in and say I LOVE your car videos! Informative and entertaining. Thanks!
