The reason the window rolls up a bit is to prevent it from rattling (and subsequent damage) when the door is shut closed. Cars with big windows have that problem, particularly coupes without a window frame. Most people I know that have such cars eventually end up not rolling down the window completely, or manually doing what this car does in order not to damage the glass or create play in the window lift mechanisms. @@boltmix7294 Never? I saw it happen with several parts on my brothers previous B7 S4. The printing on the buttons in the center console started rubbing off and were no longer identifiable, the plastic glove box hinges broke, as well as the plastic cover on the back of the seat popped off when the seat was being adjusted. So I won't begrudge you defending Audi so adamantly but judging someone and stating with so much conviction as "literally never" seems ridiculous.

He no longer has the car because at 80k miles one bank of cylinders stopped working and only the stealership would touch the repair and they suggested replacing some part (i cant rememver what it was) on both banks. (7k dollar repair) and the car was worth only a little more than that.

It will also start to wear out the window track over time if it's allowed to vibrate and rattle around, which then produces rattles/squeaks when you have the window all the way down while driving.

nahh BMW sport models sound insane, talking about real ///M cars not daily driven 320 or 530... even comfort modes are wicked sick, remember 2012 7series how purrrrsss on comfort mode, barely noticable unless you're on some super quiet night drive, it's like a silent killer 😍😍😍

I absolutely love that there isn’t a center screen. It calms the interior down and is a sort of throwback to the cars of the 90’s without infotainment screens while still giving the driver all the modern tech features you could want.

At around 6:40 the window behaves this way to reduce the rattle/stress on the glass. By rolling up, the glass is essentially pinned between the rubber seals preventing damage when slamming closed. It's not just on this vehicle but also on other newer Audi's as well.

@@frederikandersen6244 The windows will roll down slightly when opening/closing only on frame-less glass doors. Rolling down slightly allows the window to clear the upper trim/seal. If it didn't do this, eventually, you'd cause damage to the door trim. This is a big problem with Tesla's and people accidentally using the manual override door handle. Eventually, the car will warn you against it due to damage.

Neons are awesome cars, first car to by refined by factory workers/mechanics with real world car experience. Extremely under-rated, the neon saved Chrysler, sadly Congress approving the looting that Mercedes did is the reason Fiat owns them now. Bob Lutz appointed the wrong guy because he was going to GM to approve faulty ignitions and kill people, can't have good competition when your cars kill people. Lutz should be in prison, but I digress, please review the first gen Neon ACR an NYG color, people would have to click on that out of curiosity.

Ice track drifting, very popular fun in northern countries, lake freezes, you plow out the snow and then you have slippery racetrack with the shape you want. Can be different track every year, that's cool. I think then you use that performance snow mode.

10:08 I never had an Audi, but from 20 years of experience i can say that whenever there is horrible weather and you are on the highway, if ALL cars drive 40-50 kmh and you see someone passing everyone with 100 kmh or more, its always an Audi. I guess its just awesome in horrible weather.

Watching video i thought, I'd like one, 15:53 made me say to myself i need one

i just love that the shape image of the exhaust button is just like the exhaust used in the opel calibra. ive never seen that exhaust shape in any other performance car, surely not in audis.

Those changes in audio sounds after certain cuts is what I live for

Thanks for the video Doug. Detailed as usual! I spent many miles in the new facelifteds R8, and once I did a road trip up to the Alps for a few days. Amazing car and finally looks as good as the first gen.

It really does. Your videos are so well put together too.

Doug! The window comes up when you open the door on every Audi with a half door so you have something to grab onto. The R8 does it, the A5 does it. The A7 does it too. Pretty sure the A3 Cabrio does it.

Влад Вулкан he actually did review a Spyker C8 already :) I’m sure he’s really happy about the RS6 Avant coming to North America though! I can’t remember if he mentioned on his second channel that he was aware of this but I know he loves fast wagons from German brands (especially the RS6 Avant), and I know that he has criticized Audi for limiting many of the RS models to other markets besides North America.

The cupholders in the Audi R8 Decennium are designed to discourage you from drinking liquids in your Audi R8 Decennium.

The exhaust has that classic v10 note that I really love.

I think Tony Stark also saved Audi around 08 and 09.
