When did your baby settle into a routine and how did you get her into one? My son will be 4 weeks in Wednesday and is still all over the place with naps and feedings and momma is going nuts! 😵

I didn't use tampons until my baby was about 4 or 5 months old. I was more scared of pain, discomfort, ect but hated pads. I was fine after the 1st day, I just had to get used to it again.

You're not supposed to use a tampon for your first cycle after birth. Second cycle on you can use them. You'll see a little dip in your supply while you have your period but it'll go back to normal after it's done each month. Mine is always a little heavier for the first 6 months after it coming back but then dwindles back down to normal.

my lactation consultant told us that breast fed babies are used to a slow flow and to keep them on a slow flow nipple. we found that the tommie tippie and munchkin latch bottles worked well for us :) she is beautiful! I hope you can get her interested in the bottle again!

What a great video for new moms. My daughter who lives with me will have her first in about 2-3 weeks. She has intrauterine growth restriction. She’s not gaining weight so they are taking her in 3 weeks. She too is having is having a girl. I am not a new gramma and I’m a nurse so I hope I can be a lot of help for her. I did however get her some granny panties cause to me those mesh ones are a pain, especially when u have a ton of stitches.

My first pp period was at 5 weeks :/ that one was light, now I just had my second at 9 weeks PP and used tampons this time... same as before baby, only issue is that it was MUCH heavier, so I kept soaking through in an hour :/ so ended up doing pads for the first 3 days... but tampons don't feel any different at all

I would suggest talking to your doctor about what feminine product you should/can use. I have had two children (Ages 9 & 11) In my experience, a tampon can be a little uncomfortable for the first period after birth, but it's not unbearable. However, I am totally sold on the Dutchess Cup. I wish I had known about it sooner. I got mine on Amazon and there are plenty of there brands. The list of pros far outway the cons.

How often do you pump? How do you have so much milk?

  • @HaleyEby

Any vlogs are good! For me when I had a vaginal birth it was uncomfortable using a tampon for a couple months and they do fall out easily so I have to use pads unless I'm desperate like swimming etc. 😕 You can see a dip in milk supply and baby sometimes doesn't like the taste while on your period but when it's over things go back to normal. I am so jealous you can pump soooo much milk. I barely get any when i pump but have enough when baby breast feeds. It's so weird. Good thing I don't have to go to a work. We use the como tomo bottles if she takes a bottle and they are awesome. They are similar to the breast shape and flow mimics the breast as well. Good luck!

the Nuk bottles were all my daughter would take. and my son put up a fight to take a bottle lol I breastfed both kiddos but after a while he took it without a problem so those are what I repurchased for my 3rd. she'll be 3 weeks on Tuesday so I won't find out until few more weeks if she'll either transition easily with them or if she'll be like her brother and put up a fight. but I will be trying soon bcz this Mommy and Daddy need a date lol

The tampons are comfy only if you use a bigger size and the cramps do get worst after a baby .

I currently have my first period 10 weeks postpartum (I'm not breastfeeding) and I found out a couple of weeks ago that a skin bridge formed where my second degree tear was and I've got some scar tissue that is making sex impossible and even attempting it is really painful. However, I'm able to wear tampons with minimal discomfort. It definitely isn't anywhere near falling out and I wear the regular size. It's still quite snug in there. This period is CRAZY heavy compared to my normal periods, though. I feel like I just gave birth again - it's a blood bath. I tried wearing pads because of my skin bridge issue, but my flow was so heavy that it just wasn't happening. I find that each day it gets easier to put in and remove the tampon, so that's good. Unfortunately I have to have surgery to cut the skin bridge and remove the scar tissue before I can have sex, but right now sex is the last thing on my mind. Going through another recovery period is something I'm definitely not looking forward to.

If she doesn't end up taking a bottle, you can donate it. We use donor milk as I don't produce enough. Human milk 4 human babies has a Facebook page for each state.

I have 6 kids and breast fed 3 and exclusively pumped for the last 3 and they all refused frozen breast milk. it tastes different so I only give them fresh breast milk. wow that's awesome milk in your freezer. I had so much milk stored but ended up throwing it away. try to donate. my city gave hard time to donate so hopefully you can have better experience. or find local mom looking for breast milk.
