Great tips! I'm a huge believer in early bedtime. My lo goes down at 6.30pm and sleeps until 7.30 am. He usually sleeps through the night, waking only when he can't find his paci. he's 7 months old, been doing this since 5 months. Being over tired releases adrenaline and prevents them from falling asleep and getting into a deep sleep... Now naps are my struggle, he only does 30 mins or 45 at the longest!!

GREAT VIDEO! 👏🏻 I love “fuss it out”! I did that with my son when he was about 6.5 months to stretch out his 4am feeding so he’d eventually sleep from 7pm-7am. “Cry it out” always seemed so harsh and he was never that upset by me waiting a few minutes to tend to him. Also, no babies in the bed for me either! I barely have enough room in my king size bed with my husband and 100 pound dog 😂

Babies will adapt, but they are born with a natural preference to be close to mama. Obviously if it's your preference not to cosleep, then that's your prerogative, but cosleeping is actually great for babies! Mine slept in the bed with me for the first 4 months and one night I put him to bed in his crib and he started sleeping through the night! He was just ready for it. What I've learned is that "bad habits" can be easily broken so you dont have to stress about starting off perfectly. Let newborns be close to mama :)

Kathryn Coursey agreed my son was the same way we co slept til he was 3.5 months and transistioned to the crib like a dream he was able to roll over at this point so he slept on his stomach and he loved that. i agree that you can’t really make a bad habit when they are newborns especially

My baby slept on his own in his crib until he was 6 months and then the separation anxiety started. Then it was sleep with baby in bed or don't sleep. I chose to sleep. He learned how to cosleep, he can unlearn it

Not if u have child like I was, once or twice a week I would get up in the middle of the night & to go to my parents bed to sleep with them, the last time was when I was 13, after I watched a scary movie that night.

Can’t thank you enough for this video. I have been swaddling my baby every night since she was born...but not during the day, which now explains why she only napped in my arms. It’s too bad she’s now 3.5 months and I will transitioning her out soon 🙄 I hope she doesn’t roll over anytime soon 🙈🙏🏻 that sounds so bad, but I’m sure she’s gonna have a hard time sleeping without it.

Did she start dropping night feeds naturally on her own by not waking up or did you start "stretching" her in any way? Also, I know in the beginning feeding was every three hours at night but what about during the day? Same, every three hours and is she still feeding everything hours at 4 months?

  • @hayleyspear

She dropped them on her own. She just started sleeping 12 hour stretches. It gradually went from 4-5 hour stretches to 9 to 12 hours. It was all her doing 😊😊

How do you put your baby for a nap with the noise during the day? How does she fall asleep? My baby will be so interested in the lights or everything and even he is so tired he won't nap. Starts crying, fussing and after 30 minutes of crying fall asleep

oh God. i hated u at 9:13 feeding in night is not a bad habbit. its pretty natural for babies at this age to wake up in night for feed. u should be grateful u have such a lovely baby. she needs feed thts why she wake up in night n only u can get it for her for God sake. she is too small to sleep through night without feeds

secondly, giving plenty of food during the day to assume baby will stretch through the night is a big misconception. please read about it. how small their tummy is to store food for night. im so sorry for ur motherhood

First of all, the word "hate" is very unnecessary. Secondly, you are clearly not happy with your life if you have to be this degrading on a mothers KZread video instead of giving positive constructive criticism. We all, as parents do what we think is best for our children. I would absolutely NEVER knowingly harm my precious baby. She has been sleeping through the night for months and her pediatrician 100% is ok with that. She is almost 7months old now. I do not think filling a baby's tummy before bed is meant to substitute feeding them at night, so if that's what it came across as, I'm sorry for the misinterpretation. This channel is meant for positive feedback, constructive criticism and people who are looking for advice from a mom. Not a proclaimed expert. My daughter is absolutely thriving & healthy as can be. What works for some may not work for others. If my baby needed to be fed at night I certainly would be feeding her. I don't appreciate your harshness & you can kindly never watch another video of mine if you "hate" me. 🖐🏻 If you are just having a bad day or didn't mean to be nasty then I forgive you. Thank you! 😊

You should choose the right time to get him sleep. Really important thing is time before the night time routine. Only good and optimal schedule can help your baby go to sleep. I recomend you ebook How to teach a baby to fall asleep alone by Susan Urban. She shows how easy we can teach our babies to fall asleep and make them sleep all night long. I succeeded in 6 days. I bought this guide on amazon www.amazon.com/Teach-Baby-Fall-Asleep-Alone-ebook/dp/B01M7MDFLI/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
