She has always seemed a more reserved in front of the camera compared to her sister

As the aunt of a rather independent 13 year old, I find it heartwarming that Phoebe isn’t “too cool” to hang out and cook with Dad. 😊 Such a sweet, beautiful girl.

Yayyy!! Welcome back Phoebe!!!! She really is so much like Becky. I'm glad to see she's well :) I really understand her desire to draw eyes. Eyes are my favourite things to draw. Though she is better than I am despite me having been drawing for 20 years 😅 you'll have to let us know if she sets up a shop to sell her artwork :)

As someone who doesn't have the best relationship with my dad, i'm so happy to see you and Phoebe getting on so well and spending time with each other. She'll always remember times like these.

Phoebe sound SO much like your wife - it’s so sweet! This was good fun!

@2:20 - NEVER trust the cookbook when it comes to microwave cooking unless you know the power/wattage the recipes were made for, the wattage of your microwave, and the proper timing changes to account for the differences. :)

I've had this book for years as I brought it in the 90's. It's underrated but, ironically, more in vogue now. Some good recipes tho.

I AM feeling so old as I can still remember Phoebe as a preschooler, when you'd both dressed up for your vids 🤣 She is Becky's double, in looks, personality & mannerisms! Yeah, my Mum bought that book for me donkeys years ago.....some of the recipes were a bit meh 😉

Phoebe is so grown up now! I remember watching when she was 4!😭 Her art work is absolutely amazing!! She really is a mini Becky too!!

I'm genuinely super impressed with Phoebe's art! Honestly I'm a 3rd year BA Fine Art student (almost 27) and my drawing is still at a 10 year old level 😂 We all have our areas eh 😅😉 Brilliant video folks, your food looks so much nicer than in the book 😂 I would try both, though maybe I've lowered my standards A LOT from being a student (nothing against your cooking Barry & Phoebe). I suppose the bran things are like cheesy biscuity mashy stuff?

Wow, I'm blown away by how old Phoebe looks and yes her artistic skills are amazing.

How lovely to see Miss Phoebe in the kitchen! I remember the ‘90’s microwave cookbooks. I do not recall ever reading “set the house on fire by putting a metal loaf pan edged by aluminum foil in the microwave “ Thanks Barry & Phoebe!

I can't believe Phoebe is almost 14! She is growing up to be such a lovely young lady. You guys are so lucky. This video was great. I am a child of the 90's and I recently found a cook book just like this but from the late 70's early 80's when the Microwave was very brand new. What a time to be alive.

Microwave cakes go so well with custard , we do them with all kinds of jam on the bottom - great for a quick desert :)

I think these thousands of videos where Barry gets burnt without fail have paid off, you pulled out a bowl that's been microwaving for a minute without getting hurt!

Phoebe looks and sounds so much like her mom its crazy, wish I had this sort of relationship with my dad but he was never very attentive or wanted to do anything with me when I grew up. It's so cute seeing you two cook together and watching her grow up over the years of me watching your channel!

So much bran in 90s recipes! Haha I did so much microwave cooking after school in the 90s. My cookbooks are long gone but I may have to see about finding a few old ones and taking a trip down memory lane after watching this! Would love to see an old cookbook recipe series added into the mix. Hope you all are well.

To add some color to the veggie dish I would think after mixing and when Rolling out the dough you could press in more shredded cheese on top - something with a brighter color maybe .. and sprinkle herbs on top - press in with rolling pin then cut and place on dish

My god has this made me realise I’ve been a fan for a long time, atleast 7 years now. Time flies by so quickly.

My grandma has an old St Michael's microwave cookbook. There are some awful things in there but also the best soup ever. She also used to make a golden syrup upsidedown cake in about 3 mins in the microwave and it was incredible.

My parents has a cookbook from the late 80's with lots of microwave oven recipes. Suprisingly a recipe for chocolate cake in it makes a very tasty cake.

Foil in the microwave isn't actually the problem it's made out to be, *so long as it's kept smooth* (I have a microwave cookbook which recommends cooking poultry legs with foil wrapped around the bone end to prevent that overcooking). If it's all crumpled up with sharp corners is when you get fireworks.

I do hope more people know the "don't put metal into the microwave" dogma is nothing more than a myth. Think about its metal inner walls.

In the 1970s, I worked for an appliance distributor that sold some of the first consumer microwave ovens. I still have two microwave cookbooks from the 70s; they seem to have fairly normal dishes, but I have to admit that I've tried very few of the recipes.

He does so many fun art projects that are very inspiring. Barry: Thank you for this video. I remember doing a lot of microwave baking 1980-85. We were the first ones among our friends and relatives to get a microwave (my dad's company sold them to restaurants/hotels, etc.). I remember how amazed we all were. And I never forget the stench when my dad cooked a whole egg and it exploded.

You can microwave tin foil or aluminium foil covering your food as long as you keep it about 3 inches away from the metal walls and keep its edges rounded, but not a metal dish :)

Just a totally lovely family !! It's so refreshing these days to see the family unit together and enjoying each other. Phoebe is quite the artist, hopefully we can see more of her works. I think that second recipe would be more appealing if they either crumbled the topping or cut it into shapes so they didn't look so much like dead burgers....😁

A cobbler makes human shoes, btw. Phoebe was thinking of a farrier, I'm sure. That cobbler sounds like it would be great with some actual scone dough or pastry on top instead of bran dumplings.

I remember in the mid- 80's, a lady came to our Home-Economics class to teach us how to cook in the microwave. The first thing she thought us was a chocolate cake in a silicone bundt pan.
