    Can't wait to see you test out the fans. There's so many to choose from, I don't want to pick the wrong one for my needs, all because I didn't know the company exists. :( I want something to provide the best airflow, without needing tons of solar or batteries. The alternatives to fans are also out there, but I know someone's had to make a light but powerful fan already. But it's like finding a needle in a haystack for a fan that would best match my needs. Subscribed. Can't wait to see what you thoroughly test out next. :) Also, is there any way you can show how to tell a stitch or glue on tents, in terms of what's best in terms of a good seal to prevent rain water from sweating into tents? Really enjoy your videos!! ✌️✨️

    @@maylin1986 Hey May! And yeah there are so many fans out there right now! I had just 1 or 2 for a while, and when I wanted to make a "Best" video out of it, I had so much trouble picking out just a few! I've got a few rechargeable ones and a few battery ones, no solar ones though. I do have a few great ones in mind. Let me know if you need them urgently, and I can just let you know which ones to buy! Otherwise my vid may only be out in a few weeks :( Sorry for the wait. As for your question, do you mean how to check if there's a seal, or how to seal them yourself?

    I set up my Wowona 6 in my yard without using any of the tie outs just to test it. It was raining, hailing, and wind up to 30mph, and it was like, "is that all you got?" I am going to LOVE this tent!

    Cant recommend the Wawona 6 by Northface enough. Aside from the set up time (it is huge and Texas summers are HOT), i love mine. But because of how long it takes to set up, i decided to try the Gazelle T4 Plus and its awesome too. Ive had the first version of the Wawona 6 for 5 years and it has been through hell and was all smiles on the other side. Even experienced a rain storm so bad that the floor was basically a waterbed. I have had to patch 2 tiny holes in the floor and i have a bent tent pole that Northface has promised to replace after 5 years. VERY IMPRESSED!!

    First, thank you for being so thorough and unbiased in your reviews. You do an awesome job! I would like to (eventually) see a review on the Nemo Aurora Highrise 6 Person Tent. A lot of bloggers are saying that it’s in a close second place with the Wawona 6…but I’m a little skeptical of the Hightise’s windows being held up with toggle, rather than zippers, and I’m curious to see how it holds up in a rain test.

    Hi liz! Quick question! I have a couple Quechua 2 second tents, and I think that the seam tapping might need redoing. Can you do a quick video on identifying damaged taping, and maybe taping itself? Or a short video on overall tent maintenance would also be very cool!

  • @CampingGuidance

    @CampingGuidance

    8 күн бұрын

    Hi Pedro! Ah thank you so much for the suggestion! 🥰 I'll look to see if I can get that done in the future. But a short answer here - typically in my Quechua tents, when I start to see like white spots or little bubbles in the taping, it's probably old. Also, if your tent is 1-2 years old, you may want to just redo the sealing just in case. Waterproofing doesn't last for too long.

    Keep this in mind also that if you’re looking for a tent that would keep you cooler for the summer days then I highly suggest getting a white tent or a light colour tent for the very least but if you are looking for a tent that would keep you warmer for the cold days then get a darker colour tent. The reason why this matters is because the colours of your tent behaves differently about when it come to being exposed to sunlight and that would either keep the temperature of the inside reduced or make the temperature warmer during the daytime. Keep this in mind that having white reflects sunlight heat back to space keeping the temperature lower and on the other hand darker colours absorb heat, making the temperature higher.

  • @mattssacre

    @mattssacre

    2 ай бұрын

    @@Clouds-su3dc Most adults are aware that darker colors absorb more light, but it doesn't really matter when choosing a tent. There are about zero nice white tents. You don't really get to choose colors as most Tents come in one or two colors. Makes more sense just to pick a tent you like with decent air flow and set up in up in the shade.

    A great recommendation vid Liz. I don't have any experience with family camping tents, however I think the Core and TNF will meet the needs of most of the people out there. The quality and material of the poles and the waterproofing makes or breaks your camping experience. TBH although they claim to be a 6 or a 10 person tent, in reality though, an average family of four will be comfortable in them. Considering that you'll be storing your luggage and gear inside and limited or no vestibule space does does become a challenge. As always, cheers.

But it's difficult to tell from your current videos which ones have mesh and which one can be entirely "closed" to prevent dust from going in. About 30 minutes to 1 hour of heavy rain, then it started leaking, on par with other Core tents and Coleman tents!

    Possibly, if you guys don't mind being a little cramped sleeping together in the inner main tent. Otherwise, upgrading to the Wawona 8 would be better!

    I'm sorry but you shouldn't be recommending the eureka! for its warranty. The parent company, Johnson outdoors, announced that exciting their eureka product lines and shutting down the company at the end of 2024.

    Hey Dave! Sorry about that. I was wearing mask in those shots to cover my face in the past, and I got a lot of flak for that, so I thought blurring out my entire face would be better in those specific shots 😅
