To determine which states are most redneck, we had to look at which residents have the most trailer parks, Walmarts, and highest high school dropout rates.
These are the states with the residents who fish, hunt, get stuck in the mud and get into it big time.
Georgia, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Wyoming, Arkansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Louisiana are all mentioned.

The reason why they are about to start shutting them down because people start stealing out of Walmart too often they're in poor neighborhoods some of them they will lower it down to neighbor Walmart the little small Walmarts.. they now have great security that way when security sees you at the door they walk you back before having to chase you down their self checkouts have improved with cameras because it was easy to steal on those I work for that company for 21 years and you can know the ends and outs of a retail company and know when they're about to shut down all of them eventually

I was doing some history research down in Alabama on the Tennessee line back in one of those lost hollows. My truck quit and the whole community came out to help me work on it. Great folks and each one loaded for bear. I will never go back to New York after the rudeness and language I encountered. @@JaneThatcher89the southern part of the state is largely older people from the northeast and Hispanics, it's more crowded and more expensive, whereas the north is more rural, cheaper to live, but lower average income as well. It sounds like you'd prefer somewhere more rural, so north or central Florida would be where you ought to look.

A similar argument could be made on why Georgia doesn't rank much higher. As mentioned in the video, metro Atlanta isn't like the rest of the state, with all its transplants and high-paying jobs in the technology sector. There's a Walmart bias that you're ignoring. Oklahoma has had Walmart's since 1968 (it started nearby in Northwestern Arkansas). By comparison, Oregon didn't get its first Walmart until 24 years later.

The only one I've had lasting experience with is W. Va., and it's definitely a countryish state, but I have never encountered hostility there. They've been very badly stung by problems with loss of coal mining jobs. The rocky land of W.Va. makes it harder to have prosperity there.

no its not hostile. they are nice enough. unless you dont have money to give people for the 'toll roads'. then they get crappy with you.
When talking about West Virginia the New River Gorge Bridge is shown. That bridge is about 15 miles from where I live.

I live in Arkansas and we always say thank goodness for Mississippi. But of course we are going to have more Walmart’s, their headquarters are based in Arkansas. I live in South Arkansas in a four bedroom 3 1/2 bath house with a masters degree. I have son that is a teacher and one that is a attorney. I have a twang and proud of it. Arkansas is beautiful state. Come visit it and see!

As a West Virginian I'm genuinely suprised that it's only 8th on the list. But I can confirm that schools are getting way more intense here.
You come on back to West Virginia and my buddy Crock and I will take you down the New River where our trip will end under the New River Gorge Bridge. But be sure you bring your big ones because we'll be running class 3,4 and 5 Rapids and drinking beer while we do it!

Dropping out of high school is not always a bad thing. Most of it is just rehashing subjects you learned years before. Dropouts can be more successful than many college grads today if they grew up being taught skills.
