Property taxes in Texas are very high through. And tx is growing because the Governor recruits large corporation with tax incentives. TX used to be good for business but it's not so much for individuals. So much so that we are moving to another state. It's a terrible place to retire. I've been around and lived in 7 different states. Texas is my least favorite. Too much growth out stripping the tax and infrastructure base.
Wont be America for long. Needs to become its own country. Yall can have the rest

This place looks really nice! I wouldn't wanna rock the suburb life, and yeah these houses look a bit cheap, but to be fair they'd be perfect for someone trying to live the peaceful, suburb life but might not have the income to afford a giant stone house. My perfect living situation would be in a mixed zoning complex, like a shopping mall where the first few floors are stores while the top are insulated, quite apartments. Especially of some of those shops include he necessities like a pharmacy and grocery store so all I'd need to do to go shopping is just take my cart and go. No car or any other transport (other than an elevator) needed! Thank you for the upload, Nick! If I ever do wanna move to the burbs in Texas, I'll definitely be sure to reach out to either you or Mapy, although Mapy seems to get his news from um well less trustworthy places lol.

I will say that I worked in Leavenworth 50 yrs ago and have worked with some family members of the guys in the Fort Leavenworth Federal Prison! I wonder if that may be the answer to your question as to why! Even back then, a coworker told me about his neighbors on both sides were shooting it out from their front porches; which meant, bullets were flying through “his” front porch. This is the ONLY thing I have ever heard of “big city” violence in “small” town Kansas in my lifetime!

I went to Pittsburgh this weekend, Downtown is gorgeous, the view from the PNC park is unbelievable. But I was surprised to see so many abandoned buildings and houses, so many ugly places around the City. Most of the places looked like a ghost town
