That where some badass looking Helmets. Especially the one with Glasses. You made this fun to watch. I think i saw that Frog Helmet before in a Movie or Video Game but cant remember exactly.

Wonderful video, Metatron. I was kinda hoping to see an homage to Kaels´ helmet in Willow, that was the first helmet that caught my eye. Though effectivness as an actual protective gear can be debated, imagine a real steel visor with a skull faceplate attached to it. Though some other helmets of the evil soldiers looks plain weird nowadays. And the armour Madmartigan finds... with the mail armour on the outside... Oh, sorry for the rant. Love your channel!

I think to commemorate this occasion, and in the epic spirit of this video's content, you should change your name to METALtron. Congratulations!

XD.I've been indulging in what my guy calls"Baby Metatron" lately.One of my favorite helmets you have showed in these videos is the simple Roman one that was gold-colored with cheek pieces and a knob on top.Simple and functional but still looks cool.I also like the Roman Helmet with a smooth top and the neck thing that makes it look like a fireman's helmet.

I like the Frog-mouth helmet too.I like its somehow clean shape, but i wonder how you could possibly see your feet when wearing it. It's a nice concept and it looks a bit like armor made FOR aliens. :) Love to watch your videos btw!

congratulazione ;) I recently commented, that i know of no piece of armour alla antiqua other than the harness in vienna. That seashell-helmet exists in european parade-armour aswell ^^ I also didnt know that the della rovere helmet still existed. Thought only despictions of it survive. Nice vid :)

I've actually seen the helmet that Maximilian gave to Henry VIII and it's really cool if weird. They also have the jousting armour of Maximilian and Henry VIII's armour. Was really cool to see, I'd recommend the Leed's Armory :)

Hi, years ago I made that favourite helmet of yours for a customer. ( the helmet is known as the "Brocas" frogmouth helmet and is in the Royal Armouries in Leeds) Making the damn thing made me mad. Only 3 plates tight fitting metal, all warping inside. The most difficult helmet I ever did, took me 4 months to complete.

She sells sea shells on the sea shore is actually referring to a woman who essentially founded paleontology (I think I spelled that correctly, the dinosaur bone hunters). She found and sold fossils for money and many early discoveries were actually hers, but due to how she sold them, the buyers regularly claimed they discovered them, not her. I think her name was Mary Anning, ExtraCredits did an ExtraHistory episode about her and its quite the neat tale. Had to share seeing Metatron seemingly not knowing what that little rhyme is from.

Always making history lessons fun!

I saw that frog helmet on knights in a DLC from Dark Souls 2. at least highly inspired by it!

The frogmouth helmet is gorgeous. I would say it is a bit goofy, due to the way the wearer has to turn his head while wearing it.

Kabuto are pretty evil looking, monstrous, and kowaii; but that Duke of Milan helmet is downright demonic.

I remember some Stargate episode where there was an alien race based on the 'frog mouth' helmet. :) I mean their heads looked just like the helmet.

Less practical due to the flat top and lack of a hinged visor, but the "bucket" Great Helm is my favorite. Not 'evil' looking, but definitely intimidating.

This may be weird but I would probably be most scared of those without helmets more than those with. And not the numer 1 on your list because I would just see those horns as a way for the enemies to move slower.
