The ability to last through a long run comes down to more than just being able to breathe or ignore the heaviness of your legs. The form we maintain (or not) at the end of our long run tells us a lot about how strong we are, specifically in our core and hips. This 10-minute follow-along core workout is a go-to for Coach Holly, helping her avoid low back pain and maintain the stamina of her run form on EVERY long run.

The heavy shuffle is my default setting😂
I’ve done this workout sooo many times and I still have no idea how she’s talks through it 🤣🤣 beast. Love it!
Guys, I love this follow along video but could you PLEASE consider turning OFF monetisation for it? Adverts in the middle of a 30 second plank while your following along just isn't fun at all!!!
Holly great video, I’ll give your workout a try, I loved your warm background weather. Thanks for the motivation
Hello Haley, Thanks for this video.. I am regularly using your “cool down video “ from last 1 year. I was thinking about working on core. Now this video appears.. I so happy to see this..
Great video and its very helpful
Nice workout! I had to modify, but still worked core and sweat🙂
She's a great trainer
Nice! Here’s the quick morning strength I was looking for! Thanks, Coach Holly!

Good one,thx!
Great video, you got a subscription from this marathoner 🙌
Love it
I think I’ve a crack on my tibia or tibia tuberosity, so this is perfect. Thanks
Great like ever
I’ve been training for my first half marathon for about 3 months now. I’m a complete newbie and have been doing my own research on how to strengthen different parts of my body and recover them. I really appreciated this core workout since I’ve noticed major weakness in my core due to not training it in any way. Thank you for creating a workout that has modifications so that I can further increase the intensity as I get better!

Thanks, Pilar! It is!! Although, practice makes permanent :)
Good routine, thanks for sharing ! Core is soooo important, but hard to be consistent. In my routine (when I do it...) I add a couple of exercices for the back, like superman or cobra.

Great tip! That sounds like an awesome routine.
These are so good. I need to do do more plank exercises in my life. Planks are so good!! Nice workout coach Holly! After seeing the pool. Now I want to go swimming! Any one doing a triathlon this summer?

Planning to do my first, but starting with a little baby sprint tri.
Has been one of my go to work outs during the week 👍 I know you monetise your videos but for short workouts like these could they not be? It’s frustrating a little when I’m casting this on my tv and suddenly and ad plays at 3 different points in the video.
This was no joke!
Okay I definitely underestimated this one my body is on fire 🔥 coming from someone that can run 🏃🏼♀️
My coach and I have both been trying to find Xc core workout and I think this might be it!!

Looking for one too. For cross country is it effective?
Nice workout. Would like an advanced version.
I wish I had the motivation/time to incorporate this. As-is I find it hard enough to fit in all of the runs and often don't even have the proper time to warm up before or stretch after... #parentlife

There's a parable in Buddhism where a busy man is asking a monk how he can find time to meditate. The monk says "You just need to find 10 minutes to meditate." The man asks what he should do if he doesn't have the time to even do that. The monk replies "You don't have time to meditate for 10 minutes a day? Then you should meditate for an hour a day"
I followed along, it was not easy.

Haha I made sure to leave 'easy' out of the title for this very reason :)
Any modifications/core workouts for someone with a nerve injury in the arm/shoulder?

It would be best to talk to your doctor and get help from a physical therapist

@@magdavelas true. I am allowed to do planks and stuff, was just wondering.

Hey Joelle! Totally - I would say your doctor would be able to give you your limits and from there, maybe stick to mostly stuff off the hands/elbows?
Great video but KZread dropping ads into the middle of it TWICE really messes up the flow.
What app did you use for the timers ?

I just used my watch on this one but I love Tabata Stopwatch Pro app :)
Love this.. but Ads in the middle of a follow-along workout?? Come on guys.
is this for before or after my long run?
@TheRunExperience

I would say do this after a run OR on a strength/non-run day! 2X per week ideally.
How did you not jump in the pool after?

Hey, new runner here. And I’ve been wondering, when I get tired should I just start walking until I feel like I can run again, or should I stop until I feel like i can run again? Building endurance is tough and I’m wondering what’s best for when I’m running and feel tired. Thank you.
@TheRunExperience

Definitely the walk option! This will keep you moving and will provide more for your endurance than start/stopping :)

There has been an exodus out of California. Too much poop to run around in 'Cisco.
Even the run channel left Calif*. Wonder when the last of the SF footage is going to disappear.
Greetings from Bangladesh, coach Holly! Nice warm-up exercise in a calm, serene, holy setting (12:06). Wonderful. Thank you!
Just for me 1:10
This was so insightful! I have been trying to search for KZread vid like yours that teaches the topics in this KZread video! 👏Your explanation is similar to the channel of Dr Ethan. Doctor Ethan's demonstrations are totally insightful and I actually learned a lot for my midterms! He is an educational Doctor. Go watch his channel out and give the med student a like! ➡️ #DoctorEthanQandA
