Your videos are always top notch. As someone in the buy/sell/trade game, I can confirm there are a few I regret selling. Always take spend some real time with a guitar before even considering a sale.

Guitar flipping is like hookup culture, eventually you're gonna short-circuit your ability to bond with "the one"

That black and gold tremonti is killer! Looks like there’s one on reverb for a great price. Store is ‘Tim’s Music’ in Sparks NV USA.

I never regretted selling a guitar at the time. However, there are two I wish I still w. I had a 70s strat with the big headstock and bullet truss rod. I also had an early RG550 in a rare pink colt. Would love to have those back.

i regret selling every guitar ive sold. mainly because when i sell guitars its usually because of financial emergencies, in which ive had many over the years. my rule of thumb is that my instruments are the last thing to go if im strapped for cash, so if i am selling my guitars its a really dire situation

I still have 1 of my highway ones. Sold my 3 tone sunburst tele and matching strat. Both wonderful, but the necks are very pale and the finish was very fragile. My 2008 all black strat is has a more robust finish and I'm refinishing the neck with an amber tint. I'm going to keep that until I'm old and fragile. Btw, bought all of them for $500 and sold the other 2 for $1000 each. They are desirable.

Guitars come and go. Simply put, I generally feel for the guitars that I've owned over 10 years and bonded with them over time. Yes, it's mainly pre-CBS strats, but it's not the only the 'blues lawyer' thing. I've also learned over time that you don't need more than 5 great guitars, each for different applications.

i think the only guitar i ever think about after selling was a ESP LTD 8-string single-cut, an 8 stringed les paul basaically. they don't come up often & i haven't seen one since, but stock is was super playable and the OEM passives sounded better than the later super-strat style 8 LTD with EMG's i replaced it with..

The main two guitars I regret selling 1 an ovation custom legend deep bowl non-cutaway in black , the best playing and best sounding acoustic guitar I've seen played, even better than boutique custom guitars and vintage, it was just perfect but money was tight for a couple of months splitting with my wife at the time 2 in the same time period I sold an original 1991 Ibanez Paul Gilbert PGM100 signed on the back by Paul from the factory, the main reason I sold it was it had fallen out of a guitar stand and broken the neck and even though ibanez sold me a direct replacement neck same colors and inlays ,it did not feel the same as the original neck .. I bought the 20th anniversary version and still have that one but I would love to get another 1991 signed one, the ovation I have found natural non cutaway and black with cutaway and even a black non cutaway 12 string, but I want one exactly like mine

I bought a Les Paul Studio when I was in college that has the Tim Shaw pickups in it. I played with more serious players that had “real” Les Pauls. We all agreed mine was “better”. I had no idea why at the time. That was the first and last guitar I bought and it still sounds like it did 30 years ago. Selling it would be like selling part of my hand.

What's crazy is there are guitars I no longer have which I just don't know what happened to them! I had an B.C. NJ Rich Mockingbird in the mid 80s, it was honestly kinda bad, the neck was twisted, but I have no idea what happened to it. O_o I wish I had my pair of RG 550s I got while in Japan in the early 90s, I broke the headstock off one, and I didn't realize you could fix it, so I probably literally threw it in the trash. So. Dumb. I had another that I just gave to a bandmate after I got my first PRS because it just didn't compare. In hindsight we know that they are just different. Now I can't bring myself to sell guitars that I don't like to play, or look at, but I just feel that they have some merit (a rosewood neck McCarty in a tan and brown finish I have grown to dislike) I am extremely picky about what I buy now as I know it will be a LONG time before I decide it's time to pass them along to the next person.

Yes I was thinking about the passage of time as well. That's why I have decided to make a series about each of the guitars I have owned chronologically. In ten or twenty years time, the memories may fade or get distorted. Isaac Asimov used to keep a diary which he often referred to just to prevent the unreliability of memory

The one guitar I regret selling the most is my red Ibanez Destroyer I bought in 1982. It was my first good guitar and it was just like the one the guy from Iron Maiden used. I kick myself on the backside for selling that.
