My personal favorite cutscene which is also the most underrated scene in Zelda was in Majora’s mask when Link plays the song of healing and Pamela’s father turns back to normal. It’s so simple yet so touching.

That scene is more powerful if you try to attack Pamela's father before playing the song. She stands in your way and says her father is just sick and tries to push him back into the closet while he pushes against her to attack Link like any other gibdo would do.

Honestly, I hadn't really cared much for Zelda during BoTW or ToTK, but I was honestly not expecting Zelda to be the light dragon at ALL, so once I saw that cutscene I cried so much for her, I couldn't believe she had made a sacrifice such as surrendering her own consciousness for thousands of years, and so I also cried a lot when she was finally back to normal at the end 😢🩵

In the Secret Ending of Tears of the Kingdom, Mineru had theorized that reversing Zelda’s Draconification requires Sonia’s Time power and Rauru’s Light Power to be channeled through Link’s arm; but activating magic is also in need of strong motive. That is when Zelda smiles at her knight knowing how much his princess means to him. Now going back to when Rauru and Sonia's spirits appeared before Link standing above the Light Dragon, they channeled both light and time through him. But what requires most to reveres the effect of Draconification is a strong motive which neither the first rulers of Hyrule have. A fellow KZread user pointed out a principle that "magical powers can only be activated or exercised if the actor has a strong motive". It makes makes a ton of sense that Link's love for Zelda brought her back, and Zelda's love for Link in Breath of the Wild had both save him and awakened her powers. So it isn't a knight fulfilling his duty as her appointed knight. And it is not a friendship love. No. But it is a romantic love. I hope this comment does help you understand how Zelda is able to transformed back. Fun note: the Piano riff is a direct callback to the opening of Breath of the Wild.

I agree with you, but I see it as the Light Dragon being the opposite of how Zelda was without her power. Instead of her power being dormant within her, her spirit is dormant within a body born of that power; draconification essentially transformed her into pure light. Her love for Link awakened her power back then. Now, feeling the presence of the one most special to her, thanks to his reach being channeled through light and time power, allowed her to awaken.

Glad you did include Link's and Epona's victory pose from Twilight Princess. Some minor ones I also like: the rising of the Tower of the Gods in Wind Waker, Link pulling the Master Sword (every game), Majora's Mask has several like the Giants stopping the moon, those that are about the Skull Kid, the interloper creepy scene in Twilight Princess.

I somehow forget how goddamned cinematic Zelda games can be. The BotW/TotK era is epic in scope, WW, TP and SS are legendary with their stories and characterization, and Link's Awakening and OoT are melancholy as fuck!

The thing I would like to include in *I’m still your Zelda* is a sense of guilt Zelda of not wanting to used Link for her benefits but she knows she must due to the heavy destinies neither one of them can avoid. And looking back at the opening where she spend her days happily with her childhood friend and crush in Skyloft, she is slowly losing her innocence as she went to each shrines praying to be purified in order to retrieve memories of Hylia herself. And throwing away her desires when the world is at stake. While true she is Hylia reincarnated, Zelda is her own person and always be Link’s Zelda.

Among my most favorite cutscenes is this one from Twilight Princess in which Zant gets what he deserves. Zant puts Link and Midna through so much hardship, and his almost killing Midna back at Lanayru's spring is unforgivable. It is so satisfying when the two heroes finally face him down in Palace of Twilight. After Link hacks and slashes at the usurper king and defeats him in the boss fight, Midna deals the killing blow to Zant, impaling the bad guy with her hair and making him pop like a balloon. That has to be one of the best and sweetest revenge scenes in Zelda history.

The final Kass song from Breath of the Wild. At first, he's an annoying character showing up on strange places to lead to shrine puzzles...but then you start enjoying it and get joy when hearing his accordion on the wind. Then you meet his kids, and realize the backstory... ...and then he sings his song, revealing he knew who you were all along, and the song is great too. Most unexpected tear up in a Zelda game ever for me.

Oh, another favourite for me is getting the Master Sword in Twilight Princess. As Link approaches in his wolf form, the Master Sword awakens and the power it exudes is enough to fling Midna from his back. Standing his ground, Link lets out a defiant bark and light bursts from him. As Midna sees the shard of dark magic form in her hand, she watches on, impressed by Link claiming the Master Sword, being accepted by it, and the surrounding fog being purged by a ray of heavenly light. The music that accompanies it is just perfect!

One I have a fondness for is the ending of A Link Between Worlds. Hilda, realising the error of her ways, sends Link and Zelda back to Hyrule, making peace with their fate. Zelda, emphasising with Hilda and her plight, makes a joint wish with Link on the Triforce. Back in Lorule, Ravio and Hilda are shocked by a sudden quake and the explosion of the monument that had linked Hyrule and Lorule. Fearing the worst, they watch as something forms in the sky. Hilda's expression changes from concern to a gasp and tears of joy as she realises that, in spite of everything she put them through, Link and Zelda have used their Triforce to restore Lorule's Triforce and a bright new day dawns in Lorule. Also, I the BotW cutscene I prefer is the actual awakening of Zelda's power, as she pushes in front of an exhausted Link to try to protect him, even if she can't protect anyone else.

My favorite cutscene would have to be Ganondorf's rebirth (you witness a king's revival) in Tears of the Kingdom. Everything about this scene - from the eerie and menacing music to Matt Mercer's incredible voice work - showed me just how strong and dangerous of a foe I was coming up against. When I first saw this scene, chills went down my spine. That's how great and impactful this scene was. But ultimately, the best thing about this scene was that I was witnessing the rebirth of one of gaming's most iconic villains.

I think this is a bit of a cheat but I like a moment that is not directly from the zelda franchise. I like several scenes from Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. From the close battle between Link and Revali, the decendants of the champions traveling trough time to help, or some that affect me especially as the bother that I am, every interaction between adult Sidon and Mipha. But my personal favorite is Link getting the master sword in Age of Calamity. The scene was made to build hype, and it does it perfectly while playing the theme that always plays when getting the master sword immediately followed by an epic version of the series' main theme.

Zelda's despair is better in Japanese. 6:55 I actually thought Ganondorf was crying at first. 7:30 Just when we thought he was dead, just to screw with us the Goddesses gave him the Triforce of Power. When Zelda said “ Oh Link.. I’m home” in the English version of Tears of the Kingdom, I believe it is not just she really returned to the Hyrule she belongs to. But Link is her home. In Japanese however, Zelda said this: "ただいま... リンク" (pronounced as I'm home Link). These words depicts that is either someone close to family or a person you shared space with (aka lover). This is heavily implicates that Link and Zelda are indeed lovers.
