Man i'm so nervous they will ruin him in the Zelda movie... Here's to hoping Sony keeps him as the serious villain he's always been.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he used to his puppet Zelda to reek havoc across Hyrule, preventing the newly appointed Sages (Sidon, Riju, Tolin, and Yunobo) from attaining the Sacred Stones of the Zonai, and lure Link to a trap since Ganondorf maybe aware of the hero’s love for his princess.

@@lilscooter93 Do you know that Link is his own character with his thoughts and feelings in the Japanese versions of both BOTW and TOTK? You can find them in only in his journal entry logs there. I am hella mad about NA Nintendo trying to make Link as a blank Slate character and rewriting the original source material in the English localization.

I really which Tears of the Kingdom would’ve given Ganondorf more background to understand more of his motives behind his conquest of ruling Hyrule. I have a much that he has grown to despise the Zonai and wants the land of Hyrule where demons have roamed over the land. Thus, the Gerudo lived in some sort of barbaric/militaristic ways where survival is everything. And the formal Gerudo King believed power is everything to rise above all. Especially how he learned to mastered Gloom since the Sacred Stone is more of an amplifier, and give Kotake and Koume more screentime since they are his sacred mothers. It is another hunch that I have since their names are written in the Gloom weapons such as his katana. If you remembered Ocarina of Time, these two Gerudo twins fused into Twinrova. Just imagine bringing back this iconic LoZ baddies for a boss battle after not showing up again for 20 years.

Seven years in the future though, his eyes are yellow and look tired and crazed. I theorize it’s a combination of lack of sleep and the triforce of power being too much for him to handle.

EVERYTHING what Ganondor have Done are The WORST, Killing The Deku Tree, Link, Kidnapping Toon Link's little Sister and Broke Midna's Mask. But The WORST Thing is how Diffrent and Cool He looks in TOTK. 💀

That last spot was done by a single offshoot of Gannondorf. It still amazes me that even under a seal for 1000s of years his hate grows so strong it materializes over and over again, and it got smarter too. If The Calamity kept occuring we might have gotten to a cycle where Link and Zelda would've had to deal with Calamity Gannon and Gannondorf as two separate but aligned threats at the same time instead of one at a time. Considering they got their butts kicked by both the Calamity and Gannondorf so hard they a century for the first and several millennia for the second, who knows what would've happened if both were unleashed at the same time.

The worst thing he has done was cause me to pay $75 dollars to stop him... again.

I love the way he kills her, just punching her so hard in the spine that she dies. He always has memorable scenes. Right up there with the scene in twilight princess where he gets stabbed in the chest, breaks through his chains, and kills the sage.

I don’t know if I would qualify taking control of the Guardians as evil. He was waging war on Hyrule, turning their own best weapon against them is just sound strategy.

Ganondorf is pretty much like Raven Beak (Metroid Dread). Power is everything. Power makes you entailed to rule or dominated with iron fist. Then all power gets to their mind and begin slowly lost their mind.

I think the worst thing that Ganondorf ever did was actually something before his time. Let me explain a bit. So Skyward Sword takes place millenia before any of the other games. Its main villain is Demise, the Demon King. It was his actions that led to the last humans being placed on Skyloft, and he wounded Hylia so bad she had to take on a human form. When Link finally kills him, Demise acknowledges the hero's skills, but not before damning him and who knows how many others. Because Demise is a sore loser, he curses the blood of the goddess (Zelda) and the spirit of the hero (Link) to be followed by a physical incarnation of his rage. (Ganondorf) That's why there is almost always a Link and a Zelda in the games. That's why Ganondorf keeps coming back, no matter how many times the Master Sword is driven into his chest or head. That's why, so long as the curse continues, Link's and Zelda's actions against Ganondorf, regardless of the era, really don't matter much in the long run. He'll come back in a different form, people will die, Hyrule will be threatened, and then Ganondorf will be killed. Suddenly, the retrospective Ganondorf in Wind Waker and Hero's Spirit in Twilight Princess make a lot more sense. As does this line from Ganondorf in that last game: "The history of light and shadow will be written in blood!"

Even though he was technically dead at the time I would add the devastation that hit holodrum when the temple of seasons was forced underground and the whole Veran and the black tower thing. Distorting time to make people slave away in an endless day. Not to mention all of the other consequences of misusing the oracle of ages powers. He basically destroyed both Holodrum and Labrynia.

Despite his villainess actions he's remind to this day one of the most famous and iconic Nintendo villains.

Provided Nintendo takes a break from sandboxes designed to let players self-entertain and goes back to making directed Zelda experiences, id like to see them tackle a story where they attempt to break the cycle brought on by Demise' curse.

The Triforce of Power is rather a mystery, sometimes he is only vulnerable to the Master Sword but in other cases like A Link Between Worlds' Yuganon he is vulnerable to anything eventhough he had both Triforce of Power and Wisdom (no joke, you can kill him with fire rod, Arrows, hammer... Anything you have basically) As in Twilight Princess however he only takes Damage from the Master Sword or Link's Wolf Teeth, the Ordon Sword doesnt even have collision in any Version of the Fight. It is a mystery how exactly it makes him durable but he either needs to be DESTROYED with a Holy Weapon (like in Ocarina of Time where you need to do the last two hits with the Master Sword to make him fall on the Ground and finish him) or he literally only is vulnerable to Holy Powers like the Sword of the Sages, the Master Sword or.... Link's Triforce of Courage Teeth?

@@Chris-gx1ei He can get killed by a Wooden Sword in Ages and Seasons but he wasn't at full power in those games. He also got defeated by the Four Sword which is a special sword. A Light Arrow finished him off though.

​@@Chris-gx1ei He can also be harmed by the White Sword from the original The Legend of Zelda which as of today has never been said to be magical in nature. It really depends on the game and Nintendo's decision at the time wether magical weapons are the only thing that can harm him.

Link and Zelda's granddaughter would be the heroine in an epic tale to save her homeland, unify the tribes against a common threat and figure out wtf are the secret stones. Or, 120 year old Link has an incident with the Sheikah's slate, becomes a teenager and must rescue Hyrule again. For some reason the Master Sword doesn't work against gloom. Also his wife vanished.

Not "considered", *CONFIRMED* by the official _japanese_ The Legend of Zelda timeline page which outright ignored Age of Calamity from the timeline unlike Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (which AREN'T). Wether you like to imagine it's canon does not make it _fact_ as confirmed by Nintendo blatantly ignoring it from the official timeline.

My question is this. How did Ganondorf cause the Great Flood surrounding Wind Waker, when it was the Gods themselves that performed the act? In this case, Ganondorf is the reason why the act was done, but the act itself came directly from the hands of the Gods. The 3rd Timeline doesn't happen because Link died. The Hero was just Defeated. In the Spirit Temple. Adult Link cannot finish his quest. He's blocked by a big imovable boulder and a small hole only a child can squeeze through. Link must go back in time. Branching off into two more timelines.

I just have to say, in Twilight Princess Gorons are confirmed to be able to breathe underwater. So the Gorons didn’t die due to the great flood.

This video proves that he is by far the most evil villain in Nintendo history. IMO, he's the 2nd most evil villain in gaming history next to Kefka Palazzo(Since there's only one timeline in FF6 & he almost completely destroyed the world). That's something that I agree with Green Scorpion in his Top 10 Video Game Villains Remake.

I think Ganondorf was at his very least evil in Super Smash Bros Brawl. He seemed to genuinely serve and uplift Master Hand. He orders the ROBs to blow up the Subspace Bomb Factory and turn on the Ancient Minister. He also unleashed the Subspace Gunship on the fighters and betrayed Bowser before he learned that Tabuu was pulling the strings all along and tried to stop him. And assuming Link and Zelda get rescued, they revive Ganondorf and he agrees to fight alongside everyone else throughout the Great Maze. Also, In Smash Ultimate’s World of Light, Ganondorf is only antagonistic as a brainwashed puppet fighter/Dark Realm Boss. Once he’s freed, he’s supporting the cause to stop Galeem and Dharkon just like all of the other fighters. Ganondorf/Ganon is a truly despicable yet awesome Nintendo villain. I sure hope that in a future Smash Bros game, his moveset and design pull directly from Tears of the Kingdom. He does not need to a Captain Falcon semi-clone anymore now that he’s mastered gloom weapons and perfect dodges.

I’m writing a fan fiction based on Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom, with Ganondorf embodying all seven deadly sins.

The current consensus among the fandom is that he's _born_ Evil due to his very purpose to forever be a mortal avatar of the Demon Tribe which is on an eternal battle with the God Tribe from which Hylia (and Zelda) belong to. Whereas the God Tribe and Zelda seek _Order_ and balance in the world the Demon Tribe and Ganondorf seek _Chaos_ and disarray. They're both bound to antagonize eachother for eternity with Link standing in the middle as the one meant to maintain their conflict in check across the Eras.

I think he's essentially the original Demon King Demise but in a Gerudo body. When he steals that secret stone and awakens Demise's curse from within him, they might as well be the same person.

@@speedude0164 Yes and no as the japanese version of Skyward Sword outright confirms Demise and Ganondorf are _seperate_ beings due to Demise warning Link of the Demon Tribe's hatred towards Hylia and the God Tribe continuing on into the future regardless of his own death. According to the japanese version of Skyward Sword Ganondorf is meant to be the successor of Demise just as the many descendants of Hylia are her successors meant to represent the God Tribe across the Eras. When Ganondorf uses Sonia's secret stone to enhance his own natural powers the increase of his Malice/Gloom gave him an appereance which only ressembles that of Demise giving the impression they are one and the same.

@@javiervasquez625 I didn't really explain that the best. I meant it more as in Ganondorf is a different being, but with the same personality and similar power. From what you're saying, it sounds like instead of Demise being reincarnated, a new individual is born within the Demon tribe carrying his power in the japanese version. I like that explanation more tbh, and I've kinda headcanoned that the Twinrova sisters are part of the Demon tribe and used their position among the Gerudo to have the new Demon King be born as their chief.

A very good video... I just want to clarify the concept of the Hero Defeated Timeline from the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, which is the first timeline created as it happened when Link had to travel to the past for the first time (mandatory) in order to get the Lens of Truth in the Bottom of the Well at Kakariko in order to go back to the present (as an adult) and then access the Shadow and Spirit Temples. The timeline left behind in this trip to the past was left without a hero and Ganondorf gets victorious (as the future set once Link gets this item and return back to the present is an altered timeline of the Victorious Hero known as the Adult timeline)...

Pretty sure that's just a fan theory made by fans who don't like the idea of Link losing. The official sources say that "Ganondorf the thief obtained the Triforce of Power and managed to get his hands on Princess Zelda. The Hero of Time, Link, challenged him in a battle that would determine Hyrule's very existence, and lost." It's made pretty clear that Ganondorf defeated Link in the final battle, but some fans didn't like the idea and tried interpret that quote metaphorically, while also looking too much into things. The problem is that unlike the Adult timeline where it's stated that the timeline continued to exist after Zelda sent Link back in time, none of the official sources that talk about the Fallen Hero timeline say anything that would indicate it being a result of Link traveling to the past to get the Lense of Truth and Silver Gauntlets. Not to mention that the name for the timeline wouldn't make sense if Link just disappeared instead of dying.

Y'all got it all wrong, at the end of ocarina of time princess Zelda sends link back in time to live his lost childhood days (child timeline), getting the lens of truth was just part of the game as its needed for shadow temple and also access to spirit temple. As for the hero fallen timeline, it's just as the previous comment said it was entirely made up which the "link is dead" theory is known for but that would also indicate that Ganon has completely taken over Hyrule which link was trying to prevent from happening. In ocarina of time the sage of light rauru tells link that his spirit was sealed in the chamber of sages because he was too young to be the hero of time when young link pulled out the master sword from pedestal of time, it appears that ganondorf was after the 3 three stones that were needed to open the stone door in temple of time and that's when ganondorf invaded Hyrule

​@@eugenethomas1636 What I'm disagreeing about with elvisfeliz is how Fallen Hero timeline came to be, not whether or not it exists. "Link is dead" theory is about Link supposedly dying at the start of Majora's Mask (which isn't true), not about him dying in OoT. As for why Ganon doesn't manage to claim Hyrule completely for himself despite killing Link, it's apparently because Zelda and the Sages still manage to seal him into the Sacred Realm, which than turns into the Dark World. Look, I'm not a fan of Fallen Hero timeline either, but the official lore books Hyrule Historia and Encyclopedia both say that it exists.

You start the game in the fallen hero timeline; then in order to complete the quest, Link must travel to the past in order to get the Eyes of Truth (he can not get into the bottom of Kakariko's Well unless he becomes a child) and he also needs to complete the first half of the Spirit Temple as a child (no way to do it as adult Link)... After he gets these two tasks, then he go back to the future (but this time as he changed the past, he go to this new timeline called the adult link timeline, leaving the previos timeline without a hero and therefore Ganondorf is victorious)... After he beats Gannondorf in the adult timeline, Zelda send him back to the past (which becomes a new timeline later called the child era) in which Link prevent Ganondorf plans to happen...!!! I know it's a little confusing, but that's what the game shows... Every time Link changes something in the past, he opens a new timeline...

@@elvisfeliz5669 those are just events that happened in ocarina of time, I know all about the timeline okay all you're doing is just explaining ocarina of time events. Also you start the game as young link not adult link and you don't start in the downfall timeline unless you're talking about the first Zelda for NES, there are events that come before ocarina, the unified timeline which starts with skyward sword which is said to be the very beginning but the events of ocarina of time are what caused the timeline and besides you have to learn song of storms from the guy inside the windmill in kakariko as adult link and then go and play it in front of him as young link in order to get inside the well (its said to that the boss of shadow temple bongo bongo was once the sheikah mage that lived in a house where the well is now)

... But he's still my hubby. (Ocarina of Time/SSBU edition especially. Ya'll can have TotK Ganondorf.)

I feel more pity than hatred for ganondorf as his action are more forced due to fate and the curse of demise without which he may not have been evil also his most evil action is being manipulative in the sense that he gets what he wants from other people doing his work for him

No, he's literally the encarnation of Demise' hate. He's pure evil even in WW where he could have live a normal live but instead he kills, kinadps blonde girls and try to kill children.

People never seem to realizer that Ganondorf never stole the Triforce of Power. He touched the Triforce and was granted the Triforce of Power by Goddess Din. In actuality he should have been granted all 3 Triforce pieces but was screwed over by Nayru and Farore. Almost every entry on this list has an *. Caused a flood? No. The Goddesses did that. Corrupted the Twili? No, he corrupted a single Twili who in turn corrupted his race. Same arguement could be used in almost every entry. #GanondorfTheTrueKing

"Killed Link" Bulkshit It's just a poor attempt to create a link between two games that have none. The origin story of A Link To The Past differs too much from Ocarina of Time events for that.
