8:02 Learn more about how to get rid of inflammation!
Today we’re going to talk about an extremely powerful natural remedy for inflammation: colostrum.
Colostrum may be beneficial when dealing with certain conditions, such as:
• Inflammation
• Autoimmune diseases
• Gut inflammatory conditions
• Arthritis
• Skin issues related to inflammation
Health benefits of colostrum:
• It helps with gut permeability
• It helps support the immune system
• It may help improve gut damage
• It has been shown to improve muscle growth
• It may help repair the thymus gland
• It has been shown to increase T cells and natural killer cells, which may help prevent cancer and attack viruses
• It increases macrophages, which provide a barrier to protect against pathogens
• It’s high in fat, protein, and immunoglobulins
• It’s very anti-inflammatory
• It helps develop duodenal villi to help prevent malabsorption
• It’s rich in friendly bacteria
Colostrum is the first milk that a mother gives an infant when they’re breastfed. Certain studies have shown a dramatic difference in long-term health between infants given breast milk and those given infant formula.
Colostrum contains many different beneficial nutrients and provides the only natural source of two things:
1. Transforming growth factor alpha-beta
This can greatly help regulate the immune system and support tissue repair.
2. Insulin-like growth factors 1 and 2
This has been found to reverse age-related atrophy of the thymus gland.
Breastfeeding is incredibly important. But, if you’re older, you can still get the benefits of colostrum by taking it as a supplement.
Supplements from goats may be a better choice than from cows, if possible. It’s important to first take colostrum in very small amounts and gradually increase the dose until you reach the dose listed on the bottle.

A goat saved my life. I damaged my gut biome from antibiotic use in 2007. I began losing weight. I was running to the bathroom up to 6 times a day. I lost 13 pounds in a few weeks on an already light frame. 6’2” down to 153 pounds. I researched that goat milk was closest to human milk (although not very close) of all the ruminant animals. I began drinking 0.5 (one half) gallons of raw goat milk a day. Within two weeks I put back 13 pounds and cleared up 90% of my gut issues. That goat saved my life.

I find most MDs: - don’t listen - don’t explain anything well - dismiss concerns I have - dismiss any questions outside their expertise - ultimately don’t help or minimally help, create other problems with meds and lack of understanding, and I end up managing health by myself. It’s pathetic and frustrating.

Bml4646; Then you’re not advocating for your medical care. That means being proactive in your health and wellbeing. Don’t expect doctors to do right by you. Example; I had a kidney stone lodged in my ureter. They knew that I had it. But just wanted to throw meds at it. Then they wanted to subject me to more diagnostic procedures. Test my bladder function? One urinary tube is completely blocked! It’d be like testing my hand function with a broken arm. Of course it’s going to be compromised bc of my arm fgs. I went in and demanded that I receive surgical intervention. Then had to fight the surgeon for some post surgical pain meds. Had to go above him to get him to prescribe opiates. When you’re sick, it’s even harder to self advocate. I had a hip replacement too. Same year as my stone removal. They wanted to send me home after one night there. I said no. My pain wasn’t managed and I was incontinent. You cannot release a patient in that condition. Covid completely changed triage medicine. You had to advocate even harder during the couple years where they were accepting Covid patients ONLY. You pay these doctors. MAKE them do their job. Yes, there’s the Hippocratic oath of, ‘first do no harm’. But, doing nothing is just as bad as committing an unnecessary medical procedure.

I was born in Germany, long ago. We didn't get any vaxxes or shots except Polio. I had every childhood disease you could get, some I had twice. None of us kids died. When one got sick, the whole class in school was sure to get it. 2 or 3 days at home and you were good to go. Mumps, rubella, pertussis, measles - I had it all, and some. I was outside all the time, with bloody knees and other injuries meant to make you tough - there was no one "kissing the booboo" and smearing antibiotics on me - because it was expected. I don't get sick and I refused the C-19 vaxx (which cost me my job)....

Breastfeeding for the win!!! I have breastfed the 4 out of my 8 kids. There’s def a difference in their overall health. I’m currently breastfeeding my 6 month old. Nature is perfect. Side note, I intermittent fasted for a few years before my last pregnancy, also mostly keto/low carb lifestyle. This pregnancy was the first time I didn’t have gestational diabetes in 5 pregnancies. My doctor was shocked. She still has me monitor my blood, and it was always normal. I attribute it to living a healthier way by eating keto, and less often.

Listen to the body and it will tell you many times what is going on. I know my growth hormone increases big time. Especially when I do HIIT 2 or 3 times a week plus basic exercise and resistance. It's the fountain of youth. About to do prolong fasting. Hope to see great results. Good luck with the babies. About to be a grandfather for the first time in July. She's already spoiled. When I was in India I had very bad diarrhea and vomiting. My mother-in-law gave me curd. A small bag. It stopped. I thought I was going to die. Years later, NPR was discussing lactose bacillus helping with anxiety and depression. I tried everything and found buttermilk worked the best. The bacteria produces serotonin which travels up the vagus nerve. This helped a lot with GI problems for me along with stress and anxiety. I only drink whole milk buttermilk. I gave it to my children when little to help them with developing healthy gut bacteria.

I've just subscribed and will be watching more of these videos, Dr. Berg. I pay into an HMO only for BIG things like fractured bones and things that need sensible hands-on. Other than that I just hate having to go through an HMO to keep ER costs and the like at a minimum. The HMO just wants to order me around for my "own good," as they say, but I'm having none of it. In fact, I'm recovering slowing from an injury that would have had most people at the clinic, and I just couldn't do it anymore... Your channel is just what I've been looking for. Every time I watch one of your videos where you talk about certain nutrients and foods that can be consumed to for these nutrients and make you healthier I am always reminded of how my girlfriend was raised compared to how I was. Meaning that she is from Mexico and she has straight up told me that I would be having less health issues had I lived there. They eat and consume so many things that are completely natural and much better than what is the normal over here. For example they drink goat's milk pretty often from what I have heard. Me? I have never ever had it and even when first hearing about them drinking it, thought it was gross... Along with other things like they eat more avocado than the average American they home cook dang near everything where as we buy a lot of processed foods and many other things I'm not thinking of at the moment. Along with a tea she introduced me to, that has done wonders for my stomach that no medicine was able to do (including prescription meds from the doctor) at one point when I was really suffering, called Chupa Panza and as the name translates into Stomach Suck or something of the sort. It is said to help you loss weight but that is because it helps clean you out with nothing but natural ingredients such as flax seed, ginger root, bark of the young branches of cinnamon and more stuff. It has even helped with IBS and I imagine more. But just my point being, us Americans are more obese and have more health problems than probably any other country.

I absolutely believe it. I have grown almost a full inch as a fully grown adult drinking 1-3 liters of raw milk per day for the past 4 years. I have heard goat milk is a lot easier to digest than cow milk. I had some raw goat milk a week ago for the first time, and it digested noticeably better than raw cow milk. They say for this reason it is better to give it to infants or children instead of cow milk. I believe raw milk is the most perfect food in existence.

I am on my first week of taking goat's colostrum for possible leaky gut... I have intolerance to fodmaps ongoing for over 3 years... experiencing severe nausea, bloating, anxiety and awful fatigue. I was diagnosed with IBS...here in the UK doctors don't talk about Leaky Gut. I've been on the low fodmap diet for 3 years. Initially I was very nauseous even with a small amount of the colostrum. I discovered colostrum contains oligosccharides (a high fodmap) so I got a digestive enzyme alpha galatosidase which worked, so now I am nausea free. I have already felt an improvement of my usual gut discomfort. I am feeling very optimistic that this is the answer to my gut problems, I have tried and failed with so many other remedies I was beginning to despair.

You guys, he's RIGHT. I recently suffered a devastating, tragic loss, very close to me, and about 3 days afterwards, I noticed that all my usual, chronic aches and pains were gone, and my skin's complexion was so clear and beautiful, which was really helpful, of course, at that time. ...but it dawned on me that the first 2.5 days after the loss, I didn't eat anything because I didn't feel like eating. Then the 4th day, I ate a tiny bit, one time, then for the next 3 days I did the same, then in the evenings I was eating big salads, full of green leafy vegetables and cruciferous vegetables, plus vegs for the liver, feta cheese, and Dr. b Berg's delicious homemade salad dressing recipe. (Sometimes a little hummus with that, or tuna mixed with green salsa.) I ate 1-2 poached eggs in the morning, and kept taking all my nutritional supplements, as well as my homemade herbal infusions. My point is, I had not had any sugars nor complex carbs nor carbs....and my inflammation was gone, just a little muscle tension in my upper back and neck, because of the stress of the loss, with all the arrangements we had to make after our loss, plus a close relative who thinks that this is a great opportunity to pick fights with me. 🙄 .....prayer and warm showers helped to melt that away, plus some stretching that Dr. Berg showed us, for upper back, shoulders and neck.

Yesterday I contacted a company in Switzerland asking about theirs. They told me to never use colostrum that is gotten at 48 hours or longer. That theirs is gotten at 18 hours. The other difference is that my company defats theirs, and the Swiss one does not. But, here is the biggest thing, The Swiss company says to follow these 3 rules for colostrum : women use the goat colostrum, period. Men use the cow colostrum, period. And those with allergies or children, use the sheep colostrum, period. He did go a little more indepth as to why, but I thought you might want to consider what he told me. “ In case you are interested in”.

What is the name of the Swiss company, or the brand name of the product? Can you buy it in the USA, or is it shipped from Switzerland?

Anita, the company is in Switzerland and is mailed from Switzerland. Sorry, I do not recall the name of the product. It was so expensive that I just decided not to use it. As a suggestion, several days ago I started taking a product that is supposed to be good for bone and muscle health. Actually, Dr. Berg had recommended it for eye health. It is a large bottle of drops………17 drops under the tongue. It has only been a few days, but already I am pleased with how it makes my dry eyes feel. Would you like the name of it ?
