It breaks my heart to listen to I can't even imagine writing something like that. "Do I make myself a blessing"... God

This is one of my favorite Brandi Carlile songs. EVER. There are so few great artist like her and the twins. They have helped me through so many times with their music. I will forever be grateful to them!

One of my all-time favorite recordings, and I'm 81 years old. I play this once a week or more.

Brandi (and the rest of the band as well) have to be one of the few artists whose live recordings sound better than the studio recordings. She just fucking incredible.

I REALLY like this song - and the singer ..... whoever we may have been, whatever we may have done ..... might not be who we are NOW or, the things we do NOW ..... many of us have made mistakes and mis-steps ..... been stupid and stumbled ..... lost our way and strayed ..... but, we all have the ability to change and attempt - to be a better person .....

This song made me cry. I can really relate to it. Thank you for this song.

This is eerily similar to those amazing studio sessions The Beatles did for Let it Be and The Long and Winding Road. Look them up now, and you'll see what I mean. Brandi is a truly amazing talent to be able to channel that kind of vibe in her music. I love her and her music!

Amazing how a song can have different perception to different ppl ...loved the song when I first heard it ..Im not sure how to explain my perception of the song except how one person can lie to to perceive the way they see other ppls life to make that person look bad when all along they really love and know what a great person they lost ..Knowing the other person always makes them self a blessing to everyone they know ... evey or jealousy in loving that person we know that's always been good to everyone in life ..That last verse that would be me """ explains it all Good is with in even when we love and can't say it ! ...That would be me the blessing to everyone I meet ..Shows we can all be forgiven even when that would be them ....

Way better than the commercial production version and video shot with Kris K - I find this vocal performance to be much more moving and heartfelt on this simpler version. There is a more vulnerable transparancy and honesty that really comes through. Sometimes less really is more ;-)
