This needs to be shared so far and wide. The reaction of the assistant, something like : "There are many departments involved, Education Sanitation etc.... Now you are talking about money?" is so indicative of the attitude of almost all government workers I have come across. EVERYONE wants to pass the buck and NO ONE want to take responsibility and actually solve anything. It's extremely sad.

I'm a geologist by training. The Eastrand and Centurion also face the same risks, however at a lesser rate than Khutsong. When sinkholes develop, sewage pipes break, which then cases the slightly acidic sewage water to percolate and erode more of the dolomite rocks underlying the whole area. Many of the construction projects in the area have clearly been approved without the directive/approval of the EIA and geotechnical report recommendation. This also carry significant risks for insurance purposes too. I am available for a thorough professional chat/opinion on this.

What a DISGRACE these ministers got no idea about job description but get salaries out of this world all though they do not even qualify for the job it has been proven so many times what a DISGRACE it is under ANC RULE

Those in power think they are there to be famous celebrities. They forget they are public servants who's job it is to SERVE their communities, not to be arrogant, ignorant, self serving and narcissistic. Wtf!? I grew up in Blyvooruitsig and used to go to the sinkhole memorial. Then I lived in Carletonville. It wasn’t this bad. This is really bad. My family still lives there and I just didn’t know. That mayor needs to be thrown out! She and all her corrupt friends.

Have no idea why the ANC municipalities do not have proper financial statements to proof where they have spent these millions and be brought to book and follow the money transfers and get the funds back; it is inhuman to live like this😭

Same is happening with the Umdoni municipality in KZN. We have joined the UAG group, (UMDONI ACTION GROUP), and since 2020, have withheld our rates money from the municipality.

This a very scary situation living in fear everyday of not knowing where the next sink hole may pop up and not to mention the school and safety of the kids.

This is so depressing. I could never imagine living in a house for 40+ years only for a sinkhole to destroy it and make me live in a “RDP”. However what makes this worse and funny is that how the mayor and her personal assistant react ( 11:24 ). This is an absolute disaster. Complete council needs to be removed and replaced with people who have knowledge of taking command of situations and resolving the issues. I think car dealers shouldn’t be selling cars to our ministers. They misuse the money to buy fancy cars n not take care where the money should be allocated to. Any minister that lack within their department should not be allowed to buy fancy cars.
