Perrie’s vibrato is so damn satisfying

Mariah's F#5 was the hardest I think, still sounding beautiful, effortless, clear , light , and resonant even on that high high note , damn a DIVA , and that E5 soooooo effortless, slaaaaay CAREY ❤️❤️❤️😭😭

Yeah, like Celine's F5 in the All by myself, it sounds more like Scream of Pain instead of just normal Belting, you can really feel the extreme Emotions from the Rasp of her tone

Rasp is not synonymous with strain. Great vocalist can add a rasp/growl without it being strained.

Hello i have one suggestion that i think it would be very interesting, "what vocal technic's are usually used and what aren't, in music in geral" obiviously belt will be incluided in the first option but some technics like growl, scream, whistle and poliphonic notes in the second option. You could, if you want to, of course, discuss about what of them you think it's better to each case, create certain emotion etc. It's just an ideia. Sorry for any mistake, my english isn't good

@@lightning0506 I did not say they weren't mixed. I said they were chest dominant. "Dominant" imo clearly indicates mix. Lower & Middle register (chest / mix) are technically part of M1 vocal production so they are technically the same, but historically a 'belt' is chest dominant.

Whitney's C5 made me cry!!! Omg, she is in a class by herself. Beyonce's D5 &Eb5 is stunning so wonderfully full. Lara Fabian F5 is amazing! Seungyeon & Morissette are well rounded belters. Great support. Kelly Clarkson is one of my fave singers, but she rarely supports her belts. So she is the weakest better of this group. But she pushes her vocals even beyond its natural capabilities. What I love about her is her raspy soulful passionate singing. She sings from her heart. And Aretha Franklin, well she is the Queen!

Imo sohyang’s G5 from bridge over troubled water is her best

Kinda sad, there is no Indonesian, India, Nepal or Europeans singers etc in this. They're so underrated. A lot of singers in those countries have amazing belting sounds tho with great tone of voices. Plus I feel like the singers are just screaming out of their lungs, only a few that still have something mesmerizing vocals & tone even they're screaming (like Beyonce, Aretha, Whitney etc). At the end of the day, the ones who can survive in music industry/have names are the singers who have vocals can touch people even they don't have great belting sounds.
