Yep. Personally experienced myself back in 2005 when doing work in Lagos. Those check points were more prevalent on the outside of the city during the day and worse at night in downtown within Lagos. I do not remember those issues in Port Harcourt.

@McHb You sometimes have to do that! If the person is not breathing, you take the Helmet off to perform CPR. If you wait for the paramedics on a non breathing person, they get serious brain damage on top of the other injuries.

I find it interesting that in the videos where a driver really and truly deserved a broken mirror, the rider yells at them and rides off. But in other situations, where the drama queen rider overreacts, like in this situation, they feel the need to break the mirror. I mean, I could see if this was some ultra-fisheye lens situation and the vehicle was 5 feet in front of idiot-boy cutting him off even though it looked like 50 feet (because it probably was), then break away. BUT, they were both exiting, and slowing to STOP (as evidenced by a RED LIGHT) and the SUV was yards ahead, and while slowing got over to the turn lane, and hopefully soon-to-be-crashed-by-a-hit-and-run-driver-who-is-never-caught archbishop decided to make a motorcycle-compilation scene about nothing. NOTHING!

He did go a bit far by hitting the mirror, but it wasn't entirely undeserved. The blinker is worthless unless you put it on at least a few seconds before you even start to turn. The person's reaction is what made him hit the mirror. They were on their phone and completely disregarded what he said about the blinker and having kids in the back like he was stupid.

@@enginesandmore1013 blinking late is basically like missing the bus by 5seconds. Late is TOO LATE so his blinking was basically pointless. He probably wouldn't have drive on the white line as well if he wouldn't have been on a f'king phone. I don't have any issue in peoples looking at their phone and being distracted WHILE stopped at a red light. The worst they can cause is a late start and annoying peoples behind, no safety issue. BUT HOLY S' ' ' that was obvious this nitwit was on his phone while driving.
