How was he capable of understanding the situation in such a calm, calculated manner? How did he know what to say to me? Actually the idea of planting a slice of fresh tomato raises big problems for me even if it works. The problem is a question of timing. If you collect a fresh tomato in July and plant a slice, and if it doesn't rot, it will sprout in late July or early August. If it's an early strain, and it takes 70 days to produce fruit, that will put you in late September or early October with only a few weeks before frost. Your plants will not reach full production before they die. If you plant a slice in early spring, after frost, you will then be planting a super market tomato, with all the tasteless plastic properties that includes, and, since most super market tomatoes are determinate varieties, you will have a short production period. It makes much more sense to order your seeds from a respected dealer, pick a variety with the qualities you want, and grow them the regular way. Even if I wanted to plant seed from a tomato I am eating, it would make more sense to pick out some seeds, rinse them off, dry them, and save them in a packet to plant at the best time.

I just collect them when my neighbor plows them into my ditch! It causes drainage problems so it is not cool. However! American black walnuts (NOT what was shown on video btw) are VERY tasty with sweet moist meat & good digestive qualities. Beware the staining tannins! And have a heavy hammer at the ready, but for a large bucket it is well worth it. What was shown in video & sold commercially is the English or 'white' walnuts. They are lighter in color & have much smoother shells & much easier to crack. But they are usually sold as dry roasted & so dried out that they do not have the sweet taste anymore. At least not to me.

Use good waterproof gloves- the tannins will stain your hands black! I would let the color leach out in a trashcan with couple gallons of rainwater for several days before composting the peels. (Best thing is to compost them in a wooded area.) But you can actually use the water to 'dye' some item to black if it has faded. I usually spray the nut with a hose then let it dry for a few hours for easier handling. Then the nuts themselves are hard to crack but so good! I use an older dish towel, put in half dozen, fold it over, crack them with the hammer. It may take a couple hits because the pieces do not come out whole- I use one of those pickers that comes in a set of nutcrackers. It is a lot of work but it is worth it.

Deborah Hanna or just wait for them to be mature enought to fall from the tree and then the shell green shell is easy to remove and it doesn't stain. Only way you could stain your hands is if you picked them up while they are still unripe and green. When you see the green shell is still fresh, strong and in tact the wallnut inside is probably bitter and not ripe

I'm pretty much a troll right now. I'm making fake content, posting it on KZread and other sites, and hoping people find it. It's not fake, it's real, it's me. It's what I do, it's the way I live, so I will continue to do this for as long as I feel I can make the most money and get the most views out of it. The real question now is why is it okay that a fake, "honest" video like this has gained so much popularity? There's no need for such a video in 2017, so why is it okay for a video like this to get more than 60,000 views? I'm not even joking. If this had been a real video that was posted before I went to my parents, they would have said I needed to go to a psychiatrist or a therapist. I've been very open about my mental illness to my parents since I was 8, and it's something they're aware of and they've been supportive of me as long as I've had any problems. This is the first time in my life I've ever felt like I needed to share it.

I found a lonely cherry tomato at sams club's floor and ask the staff if I could take it, I was like 11. When I got home I planted it in a pot and it grew. Then it's tomatoes kept spreading out of the pot and the next plant would create more plants from where it was, later we were overrun by cherry tomato plants it was total mayhem! Tomato Apocalypse! I don't eat any kind of tomato, dishes or products related to it but my family does. The plants are history now since my parents couldn't take them anymore but they lived about a year or 2.

Just this summer, I was slicing an old tomato trying to salvage what I could and I found a sprout, so I planted it instead. I will say, it did grow (infact it's still going strong even being out in the chill) but it never fruited. And I'm semi sure that that's common for grocery store fruit and vegetables that they're genetically modified to not produce fruit so you cant grow more from them. I highly recommend just buying the seeds or getting fruit from a farmers market to get started (if you want to do it that way but it's really really unnecessary unless you're just doing it for the learning experience or for fun)

No......they do not “genetically modify” vegetables so that you can’t regrow them. It has more to do with not having the correct conditions to grow them. Most commercial plants are grown under controlled conditions. They’re not bred to survive “in the wild”. Many are assisted in pollination also.
