This is the first agadmator video, out of all the hundreds I've seen, that I have had to watch twice in a row, immediately, in its entirety. Simply unbelievable. Will this line now become known as the Abasov attack? It certainly deserves the recognition, and I suspect we will now see it played by others. Very impressive, even if Caruana did have to blunder to make it work so well.

Yeah actually I think it was the Blunder of the Queen move to (b4?) that made it possible but at same time Abasov had a lot of attacking pieces lined up aimed at that king I think Fabi was pretty much in trouble already at that point not the best time to go look for counterplay elsewhere
Can't still believed how Fabi lost just like that! 😢 On other side this classy Gentleman Abasov is just showing how he prepared for all these. Magnus wasn't lying when he said he got nervous when Abasov playing resourcefully. Chess is Brutal.

Nijat cheated before right? Why does Magnus play cheaters Parham, Pranav & Sébastien Feller but not Hans? My theory was that Magnus plays only gentile non-American cheaters (like Magnus who is a gentile non-American cheater) but Magnus plays Nijat whom I guess is Jewish since supposedly top players of former Soviet Union are Jewish. So either 1 - Magnus hates only American cheaters. 2 - Magnus is a liar. More info : ZS4ZPFA

@@rathinaveluthiruvenkatam6203if a spent force carries himself to the senifinals of the one of the lengthiest chess tournament, then the "spent" force is not so spent and has lot in his tank. In Magnus' generation, the undisputed 2nd best player after Magnus is Fabiano. Magnus himself had called him his equal. I hope we do see Fabiano playing for atleast another decade at the top level.
I really love this channel ❤️🔥 Thank you and keep up the good work ✌️

Abasov had the tournament of a lifetime. Such poise in the face of so many legendary players.
2 of my favorite players. Love watching Caruana play.
I really like Fabi. I think he was still dealing with disappointment of yesterday.
sir, really very candidly and clearly explain ... I WAS WAITING FOR YOUR SHOW AS BECAUSE IT WAS CONFUSING WHILE HE RESIGN ...BUT NOW ALL IS CLEAR ..THANKS FOR YOUR PRESENTATION
🤯 - that was amazing
Super attacking game by Nijat. I think he is under rated player.
Abasov has been fantastic this tournament
From b1 to c3 then to e4 that knight embarked on a journey to create havoc on the board in just second move. Imagining it as a battlefield, this gives me absolute chillzz how dangerous can a knight be.
Good to see this guy will most likely be in the candidates!
Amazing!!! Never before I have seen Caruana destroyed like this.
The capture that "ruined White's pawn structure" proved to be a key to White's victory. Interesting!!

Just brilliant brillant chess from Abasov! Take a bow!
What an incredible attack by Nijat. Of course, the mistake with the queen was decisive, but as Fabiano gave up some moves later speaks for Nijat's incredibly cool position.
My god, Nijat is killing it. Fantastic game from him 👌🙏💪

What an extraordinary opening idea by Abasov! And a shocking blunder by Fabi -.- If Magnus suddenly decided to play the Candidates on a whim (like he did in 2013), Fabi might regret not being fully locked in for this match. As a fan of both, I really hope that scenario doesn't happen

Just a simple single-move blunder, not the sort of demoralising slow grinding demolition of the kind Magnus often inflicts, or indeed that Prag inflicted yesterday. In one sense it's even a pity for Abasov as everyone including him would have wanted to see if his novelty had a refutation or not.
