Both teams were legendary.I enjoyed the epic battles we used to have.It would've taken a brave man to place a bet on a winner everytime these two teams played. These were magical days for me.

That true :) Loved to watch these 2 teams playing :) always attractive football and often lot of goals :) I'm United fan all my life, but Arsenal is our rival team I respect the most especially because it was always a great match to watch when we play against them, even if we lose you have to agree it was a great match which is not the case (mostly) for other teams

True dat...well said!! So much nostalgia running thru me seeing legends like Dennis Bergkamp, Peter Schemichel & Nicholas Anelka spearheading Arsenal in those days... I remember fighting with friends at school over our favourite clubs - Arsenal, Liverpool and MU. There was so much class when these teams clashed. Dont really follow much football nowadays.

Even when they're talking about Giggsy's best ever goal. He is still saying, ' Before WE scored it was neck to neck, after WE scored'. Goes to show the underlying qualities of a legend, humility and teamwork.

That is a real FA Cup classic. Nothing else can match that. That whole game is so enthralling, nothing else can match that. Giggs' goals brings tears to my eyes everytime...I just almost cried seeing it... :'(

Man Utd and Arsenal in the late '90s,you could not find that rivalry today!Absolutely fantastic.Sometimes there was even more action on the touchlines by the two managers going at it.Incredible memories.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This goal was a "Instant Classic" goal, and will never be topped in my opinion. The entire game was a classic, I jumped out of my seat when Peter saved that penalty! Ryan Giggs - Pure Legend so he is.

I really feel bad for Bergkamp as a top class player. With his magic, he could have won a world cup or an euro cup but the reality is cruel.

In my humble opinion, the magnificent save by Peter Schmeichel from Dennis Bergkamp's penalty was possibly a pivotal moment in Manchester United winning the treble. Had Bergkamp scored, then United wouldn't have won the treble, and may have possibly have finished the season trophyless

That was arguably the best game of the 90's, people forget that Arsenal had Man Utd on the ropes up to that point...regarding the Giggs goal, yes it was a great goal, though can remember media and pundits did go a bit OTT about it afterwards, comparing it to Maradona's 2nd goal v England in 86...

regardless of the wonderful giggs goal, I have to respect Arsenal for not giving in and gave a good game. Its just meant to be. Credit goes to Arsenal being the team to experience these moments because I think its an honor. Coming from a die hard United fan.

i remember turning on my radio alarm for the next days work and decided check the score, and it was seconds b4 the pen was awarded and i went mental at the save and got a bollocking off the mrs for potentially waking up the toddlers lol.

One of the greatest goals? No this is the greatest goal in fa cup history.

Good player, but the only reason they say it's one of the best in FA Cup history is because he is a United Player, and the FA and media all love Man United and there Scottish Whiskey nose manager Alex Ferguson. Gerrard's 90th minute goal in the 2006 final was much better than this.
