Thargoids operate on a Never Surrender, Never retreat doctrine. But they have been known to pull back military forces if they can't secure a region (Guardians did push them from their territory extremely successfully)

Ah yes, I remember when me and a wing of friends encountered the Hydra class. During that megaship event we got absolutely wiped by these things. I really wish Fedev would do more with these thargoids instead of them dinosaurs

No longer.. got my first kills (Two in a row) with a chieftain with my own build (because engineering is dumb and following 100 step guides is lame). Survived at 11% health. Absolutely ignored the crap out of the thargons due to being in a AXCZ.@@eva2602 Before this died a dozen times to even scouts.

I'm a new player, I watched the whole thing, thank you for the thrilling experience. I hope one day I'll be as good as you

plenty of resource extraction sites and conflict zones in the game for you to practice, just make sure to have plenty of armor/shields, a big enough power source and gimballed thermal and kinetic weapons

hydras scare me so much. they seem so strong and terrifying. So far, i’ve only beaten maybe a dozen cyclops’s, but a hydra... that’s leagues above me. well done commander. o7

They scare me too, even now ) I do not perceive Medusa as a threat for example, but Hydra is still uncomfortable for me. But with enough practice, patience and dedication, you will kill it )

@@bradeburne6190 Against Cyclops they last a few minutes so long as the Swarm ignores them. The biggest fighter killer vs Thargoids is the Swarm firing an entire salvo at you, which insta-kills even Taipans and the Guardian SLF since they ignore shields

I only manage to destroy Cyclops with an anaconda full shield and hull, and again I finish the fight with something like 20%. I do not have the shadow of the smallest chance against a Basilisk, beside that, others are able to kill Hydras solo. Okay. Should we call you how? My lord ?

Maybe you arent engineering enough. I run a shieldless krait and can kill the cyclops in about 2 minutes or less. Try this: s.orbis.zone/bhkm. I take it you wont have all the engineers and stuff unlocked but you should be ok provided you engineer to the fullest of your capacity.

I mean ***damn, so nasty! Awesome job.

That’s cool and all but I think having fun is more important. Engineering is not fun at all for me so I avoid it. I’m perfectly content doing cargo runs in my unengineered Python.

Maybe if it were a better game.

Remember boys, these are only the grunts of the thargoid empire.

There should most likely be a "power level" for ships to correctly give the player a fair amount of credits for the job that was done, more mods, and higher grade modules, along with something like a "rank" (to determined how skilled you are, and if you truly deserve the credits) would increase power level and help give the player an increase in credits for that job done so players can actually get the amount they need without under paying things like this. This easily should've gave 50 mill. Maybe more for how long it took 1 player to beat this thing. I feel this would give players a reason to grind for not just credits but for a bigger payout in what they do.

A lot of videos I see are people flying Fed vette solo killing Thargoids and it makes me itch for my vette that much more. I gotta get the grind on

I'd like to try it as well but they really expect you to do 60+ jumps just to grind for Premium Ammo that lasts for a very few attempts. I suppose you don't know a faster way to get it? Anyway nice work!

I once lost a bet and had to take on a Basilisk solo in an all-rounder Anaconda. I didn’t even last 30 seconds. This guy has a combat build specifically for taking down thargoids in a corvette and it takes him 45 minutes for one Hydra. I think the boss difficulty is Dark Souls level, no?

Dark Souls is much easier trust me I played everyone it's not that difficult just learn the patterns and good reaction time. I would be crying if I had to try and kill a Thargoid tommorow and I would be yawning in boredom if I had to kill the Soul of Cinder tommorow.

It instantly brings the shields up to 50% and heals any inoperative modules. You don't have to wait for your shields to regenerate from broken (which takes 16 minutes on his build), but you are a sitting duck while ALL your systems reboot.
