I noticed throughout the whole thing even though it looked like Thanos was beating him. Paying attention I realized darkseid wasn’t even trying. He had his hands behind his back and was unphased by all of it. I felt like darkseid made him feel like he was winning until he got bored. But unlike thanos he didn’t announce it. Thanks giving it all but with each “victory” it felt like darkseid was just saying “aw try again” like letting a toddler feel like he’s winning.

@Marc H Darksied had defeated the justice League multiple times(By himself), and has broken Lantern rings(in he video) and has destroyed planets. Which in this case Thanos can't take down superheroes without the IG, he's like he hulk but with experience. In the Infinity comic one, I saw that Thanos couldn't defeat Thor,Cyclops,Vision,Wolverine,Cap and even Spiderman without the IG. And even created a clone to kill the others. Look at Darksied he doesn't need magical gloves like Thanos. I know that Darksied has Omega beams, Strength, Strong skin. Darksied has minions too, but mostly the time he fights the JL alone.

Forgot to mention that Thanos torments this one guy named David every year on his birthday. Every single one of David's birthdays. And he's never given a reason. Everything ranging from killing David's father, to getting him fired from his job, to wiping out all of David's neighbors with the Infinity Gauntlet, to keeping him from drinking at a party.

There was one time Thanos didn't actually ruin his birthday. Once, David was waiting, and waited until it passed. Thanos never arrived (It turned out he was briefly detained by the avengers.) David was happy, and on his next birthday, went out to grill something, singing a song, only to find Thanos already there, finishing his song, and burning something on the grill. He then just deleted the guys neighbourhood. Since, y'know, he missed his last birthday. He didn't end there either. When David was at his lowest point, no job, no family, crap hole apartment, Thanos came. David asked him why he was doing it, did he matter that mich to Thanos, that he had to do it? Thanos simply smiled and said "No. You never mattered to me." Then broke his ceiling, flooding his apartment and left. Utter chad move.

Easily one of the best death battles here. The score, the animation, the pacing, the conclusion. Absolute epic of universal titans

Thanos: Throws a punch at Darkseid's face. Darkseid: LITERALLY HEADBUTTS THANOS' FIST. The utter disrespect shown in the first _seconds_ of this fight is amazing.

The speed of light is slow. In terms of the cosmos. You hear scientists talk about things in light years all the time. Meaning it takes light, years to travel.

I liked it. I especially like how Darkseid figured out the Infinity Gauntlet's weakness, that it only works in its own universe, so tricky Darkseid just took Thanos to another universe where the Gauntlet does not work and whacked Thanos but good. And to think Superman defeats Darkseid!

The music fits so well with the fight scene. The piano(Organ?) gives just enough of a religious touch to let us know that this is a battle for the throne of a god-like status. The rap lyrics give a taste of authority. While the last instrument I can't identify (some sort of digital noise) gives just a dash of modernism. Oh that final explosion when the punches collide were fused perfectly together with the music. Beautiful peace.

infinity gauntled is like a gameshark/dev mode for his universe, while i do agree that by just taking him to another universe would render him powerless to Darkseid i think he could be able to kill Darkseid avatar in his universer and block him from reappering(not that it would be a defeat to Darkseid, but it would at last avoid thanos own death)

When he CLIMBS OUT of a BLACK HOLE, and, then, closes his hand around it and ELIMINATES it... That's when I know I'm in *WAY* over my head.....

This fight would´ve gone differently if Thanos had actually gotten in the Thanoscopter.

The only reason Darkseid wins is because his true form is connected to the dc universe, meaning Thanos can snap away his avatars all he wants, he can’t kill the real thing. It’s not because Darkseids more powerful, it’s because his body is in a different universe. If Thanos goes there, the gauntlet doesn’t work.

True enough, the Mind, Soul and Reality Stones could allow Thanos to resist the Anti-Life Equation However, all you need to do is take Thanos out of his universe, the Stones stop working and the Anti-Life Equation takes Thanos down. Avengers vs Justice League where Darkseid determined that the Infinity Gauntlet was useless in any other universe.

Isn't Darkseid equally immune to the effects of the Stones? They cannot do anything to him conceptually... Darkseid exists outside most of it's powers anyway.

I like that, in theory, Thanos could indefinitely prevent Darkseid from having significant influence in his universe...but that would eternally piss Thanos off. This would please Darkseid.

Thanos could have altered the Universe's structure so Darkseid wouldn't be able to invade it. The Infinity Gauntlet could do that. And Thanos isn't stupid.

@@hithere8789 Oh when Thanos entered the boom tube, the battle was over, that I agree with, but possessing the time stone, Thanos could simply move through time and see the results of differing actions. Until Thanos started acting dumb, he had this fight in the bag, and while pretty much every DC vs Marvel matchup is going to dump on Marvel due to the ridiculous power level that DC operates on, Thanos simply was god in his universe, and kinda blew it in a way that was uncharacteristic of him.

At best that would be considered a tie since neither would be dead and the only way Thanos lived was by locking himself away in a universe that was now isolated.

Deadpool's ramblings are the end result of ungoldly levels of suffering, so it makes sense that Darkseid has no problem with it. Also, Deadpool's chatter brings suffering to all, which would please Darkseid.
