The forced double-dips near the end were nuts. Crazy seed.

I habe to say that something about both of these commentators voices is endearing. Add to that the fact that they take turns talking, explain how many keys are needed for each dungeon and don't spend too much time talking about irrelevant scenarios with a 0.01% chance of happening, and you get a great duo. Love their synergy.

Needs to be a hell mode, where you have keysanity but it doesn't tell you what dungeon until you zone into the dungeon

It's not their fault. It's the fault of whoever is running SpeedGaming's KZread page. On Twitch, the first two Bronze matches took place before Game 1 of the Finals. It's not the commentators fault that the KZread page decided to post the races from Twitch out of order.

A thing i thought Thelane would maybe have done with an early mushroom (and something i do and have seen being done) is to save quit, go to witch and if the result is bad hard reset. That way you still have that backup shroom for a fake powder should you find cane too. Maybe thats what Thelane was going for and kept going after getting pearl Also hype moldorm is real

True, but Moon Pearl is a treasure you just cant pass up. Especially if you are facing off against Andy. Thalane has made some big time gambits and they just didn't pay off. Andy usually loses to bad luck if anything.

I do wish the upload notes included a list of the match modifiers and a brief description of them for those of us who aren't familiar with the various icons.

Crystal and pendant indicate all dungeons (including Aga tower), Zelda indicates the traditional open where you are forced through Hyrule Castle, uncle with sword means uncle has a sword, H is hard, keys means keysanity. I agree with your comment, though.

They're given in the description. Click the link next to Modes. If you're not sure what the short descriptions given there mean for some of the less-clear ones: Open starts as if the initial rainy night escape already happened, vs Standard which requires starting there; Inverted starts you in the dark world and requires the moon pearl to not be transformed in the light world (among other changes made necessary for completing the game in this reversed order). Uncle Assured means Uncle always has a sword rather than a random item. Hard and Expert modes do a lot of things, but the highlights are: fewer hearts, magic costs increased for Cape and Byrna, restrictions on how many swords/shields/armor upgrades you can find, no 1/2 magic upgrade. Keysanity randomizes key/map/compass locations throughout the world. Enemizer randomizes most enemy spawns. Retro...does a lot of stuff I don't recall offhand as I don't think I've ever seen a Retro race. It's meant to make the game seem more like the original Zelda - arrows cost rupees to fire, there are gambling caves, etc. - but I don't remember everything it does.

Thalane you were the one who read this hint just as Andy got it. There was a sync up we all laughed some people cried I lost 10 lbs.

Spoiler warning. The commentators were talking about how vanilla items are a pain because you don't want to go into dungeons without their respective items... Turn out if every dungeon has it's vanilla item, it doesn't matter anymore! Whichever you choose to go to first will lead you to the same dead end forcing you into the other ones!

There's no point in checking the tablets in Version 30. There is a bug in the programming of the Master Sword in V30, which, I believe Fylion mentioned fairly early on. Since the tablet items are based on Master Sword logic, due to the bug, the tablets cannot have any progression items on them. This has been fixed, however, and will be implemented for V31.

I just finished watching a seed where the boots had to be claimed in the Village of Outcasts in order to get the Flippers from DP to go to the lake island and get the shovel...that in turn led to the powder...which in turn led to the mushroom...which in turn was exchanged for the Titan's Mitts on the witch. Yeah...all fetch quests mandatory. That was nutty. 😂😂

I really wish the announcers wouldn't comment on the other races (which haven't even been posted yet on YT), I get they're trying to hype the event but this is the second match they've dropped unnecessary spoilers since the semis started. Weak AF.

No offense, but if you're really THAT worried about spoilers, you should've been following the tournament live on Twitch. The KZread videos are good for people who missed all or part of a certain race, but if you're that invested in the tournament, KZread is not the place for that. Even if you're not watching all of the races (or can't watch because of work, or whatever) on SpeedGaming, you can still follow along. Remember, the announcers are announcing for Twitch, not KZread. There's not even a guarantee that the race will get posted on KZread. It almost certainly will (especially something as important as the finals), but there's still no guarantee.

one of the commentators sounds like he's talking from inside a toilet.. dude, move your mic closer to your face.. setting your mic on your desk and jacking up the gain will result in shitty audio
