THAI FOR BEGINNERS ONLINE COURSE
The popular book Thai for Beginners has been updated and made into a comprehensive and interactive online course for both children and adults - like having a private Thai teacher at home!
The course is divided into four sections.
Section 1: Speaking & Listening
There are 14 lessons in this section. Each lesson contains new vocabulary, sentences, conversations, and many exercises. The Thai pronunciation is taught using the new and improved transliteration system called Paiboon+.
Section 2: Reading & Writing
This section is designed for those who want to learn to read and write Thai from the very beginning and it contains 10 lessons. We introduce the Thai writing system at the very basic level and build on this so that by the end of the program you will have the skills to read the Thai script. At that point you will be able to advance to the next level which uses the Thai script only without the help of transliteration.
Section 3: Thai Values & Culture
This section is important for non-Thais and Thai children who were born and raised outside of Thailand. To understand the Thai language and the words Thai people use it is important to know some of the core values that make Thai culture unique. There are many interesting and entertaining topics included in this section which explain the background for many of the typical Thai proverbs and beliefs.
Section 4: Tidbits on the Thai Language
This is the really fun part of the program. The Thai language contains many unique and entertaining words and phrases that are common but which were not included in any of the lessons. Therefore, we added this section which also includes a lot of information on colloquial Thai.

Students can log on to the study portal website and learn at any time of day or night. One family can use the same account. If they want to take private lessons, they can choose from the list of our instructors. Private lessons (with an additional cost) will be conducted online via the Zoom videoconferencing app.
Students have unlimited access to the online lessons during their membership, and they will also be added to our Thai for Beginners Facebook learning group (Thai Language and Culture Learning Community). In this private Facebook group students can ask questions regarding the lessons and interact with their teachers and their other classmates.
