Great for beginner for sure. It would've been even better if this dialog is with male voice for male part.
This lesson is very nice, helpful and engaging. I love languages. I speak English and Spanish, and I've been learning some Russian, German and French. Thanks a lot, спасибо, gracias, merci, danke.

Why does the O sometimes sounds like A but other times it sounds like O? I don’t get that. Such a great video! Thank you so much, it’s so helpful. I will rewatch it many times.

It's called vowel reduction. When a vowel is stressed, it often gives a different sound than when it is unstressed. Stressed O sounds as O, unstressed O sounds as A

In English you do the same but on another level. You pronounce the same letters in difference way or don't pronounce at all
This is the first video I found of you tonight you *had* the perfect system you need to *go back to this system only Russian voices* that is what we need for total immersion. This is the only way I can succeed in learning Russian I need to hear only Russian and I need spaces to repeat! The Russian accent is extremely hard to mimic I am not a native anglophone and I do not need to hear an American accent in the middle of my trying to learn Russian English is my 3rd language; you had this perfect please go back to this system *no Americans talking* please
Very helpful videos :D !

This is high-class KZread teaching of Russian! Only feedback: If the English (not italic) text was in a smaller font, about 60% of the Russian, and right under it, I would instantly understand the Russian.

Can somebody please explain why, In the beginning of the video "а что" is being used to ask "why?" Instead of почему?
@RussianLevel1
5 ай бұрын
Both are acceptable. "А что" literally translates to "and what" but can be used idiomatically to ask why. It's a more casual and conversational way of expressing curiosity or asking for an explanation. It's common in spoken language, especially in informal situations or when the speaker wants to keep the tone light.

I am speaking englisch german and polish (learned French in school but can’t speak shit) Russian is kinda easy if you already speak a Eastern European language, quite a lot of words a similar, I already feel like I understand like a2
