Hi. I just use a wood burnishing. Coz this is kind of oil based tanning type of leather. But if you want to polish other type of leather you may try whale's wax. Chemical I'm not sure how to call in English. Then burnish it. A custom made is now on a very long waiting list. I'm glad if I can possible make one for you but it would be faster I can guide you at my workshop (if you're in Thailand). You can see how fast my students works in my fanpage. U can do it:) GUS

Oh! Sorry for late reply. I'd love teaching in workshop but theres a lot of tricks in teaching need to touch and see technique & texture closely. I may think if I can post a small part of trick in a small clips. And also I am freelance film crew. Somehow I gonna visit US someday. I just shot my new video but it got some problems in file, you may have to wait for a bit longer. :)

Do you have to have a special sewing machine to do leather projects? I have a regular sewing machine and really want to try making my own tote but I don't know if my sewing machine will be okay for leather projects. I can buy a different needle if that's all I need to do to transform my sewing machine into one that can do a leather project. Thanks, hoping to hear back from you

I found it very helpful as I am starting my own handbag line....I wanted to know if you could give me information on the polishing wheel that you are using, or if that wheel makes a big difference from the polishing wheels that come with the bench grinder I bought here in USA? What is that double sided tape you use? What kind or for what material?

Double tape is for denim. For right now I'm try to aware of double tape. Its make the thread stuck if stitch by sewing machine for too long length. Must be press a pedal for a one long shot. Then clear the needle tip. Double tape here in Bangkok isn't quite good one. I use clear glue now.

The measurements are in the patterns. I've did this bag long time ago. You can watch our latest videos for more of bags making and our leather bag pattern on ETSY. I may re-make a pattern about this bag again for hand stitch version.
