I love to listen a woman geeking out about gear... I’d love to be 18 again today, what an awesome time to live. So great artists out there, so much great gear from all type and all price ranges. Kids don’t realize how lucky they are...

Adults don't realize how clueless they are to call kids lucky (because they have lots of consumer choices and free entertainment) as they are forced to literally watch their world dying from greed right in front of their terrified faces, their own ability to live to old age before the shit hitting the fan finally finishes us off as a species, in serious doubt.

@@mr.tryhardguitarguy2842 I'm calm enough, but clearly "calm down" is code for pretending that we haven't just allowed the oil billionaires to set up the extinction of our species and the entire biosphere. If facing reality is too much for you, I understand wanting to hide your head and pretend it's not happening. But don't pretend that your unwillingness to face reality is a virtue. It's cowardice, nothing more.
It's nice to see professional musician's demonstrating equipment in a very educational way. Well done.

I agree, they are beautiful looking guitars and have always wanted a headless....
Sarah is awesome. Amazing talent, with grounded humility and sense of humor.
Guilliaume gettin down with some boogie on a modern guitar was cool. Nice re-interpretation of the Tele :) Sarah has the 8 string down. It's a natural for her. Lovely tones and cadence :)
great guest - thanks for the content!
Gibson should've totally utilized Steinberger brand to get onto this headless trend.
@OzziePete1
6 жыл бұрын
Sarah's guitar goes a little further than what Steinberger had. They have a fanned fret scale and asymetrical-rolled neck profiles too. And more than 6 strings.
@SteelSkin667
6 жыл бұрын
The whole Steinberger situation is really sad. They let Ned go and aren't doing anything worthwhile with the brand. The current line doesn't even have the graphite construction that the original Steinbergers had. Had they kept working with Ned, they probably would have pushed more innovative designs.
@ducas8937

TheZooropaBaby exactly, steinberger is a great brand, and what did Gibson gave us? Zt3 and then nothing. Of course strandberg has its own thing and character, but if you were in the market for a headless more brands would be a nice thing
@OzziePete1
6 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Highlights how Gibson the corporation has dropped the ball. They've done this with Cakewalk Software too. Bought the brand name & then done nothing. It's a corporate strategy I bet, but it does nothing for the good of that brand name. Steinberger could have easily been on top of these latest innovations and could even had brought Strandberg in before it became a brand of it's own (and a competitor), but they've been asleep for 20 years, only churning out facsimiles of their famous headless graphite models with wood. I know there were some issues with graphite necks, especially with the basses but I'm suspicious that it could not have been overcome.
@natorious314
6 жыл бұрын
It probably could've been overcome by using carbon fiber necks or just carbon fiber reinforcements within the graphite. Not a huge deal of engineering. Just drilling a straight tube through the neck like a truss rod or drilling flat channels for carbon fiber inserts. Lots of manufacturers already do that.
Kudos to the interviewer for just sanding down a $2,000+ guitar because that made it more comfortable for him. Mad respect!
Ms. Longfield is the coolest human ever!!! ILY, Sarah!
Love the Hughes and kettner amp
When are those new models gonna be released?
Are there also videos about all the folk instruments like irish bouzoukis etc. coming? ;)

The intro was bit awkward..lol

when are these new strandberg boden classics coming out been looking for an 8 string for a while and that pretty much has me sold
9:58 is that a song?
I’ll take one! ❤❤❤
ironically i got into sarah on bandcamp. I found seasons of mist (record label) I saw her profile pic and i was like "all these people have brutal or weird logo and this girl just has her portrait" i clicked on it and i saw her most recent album dusk so i got interested then I saw SUM her EP album and the first song paradoxos grabbed me like a freight train. Personally I respect instrumental metal but i find it really hard to make it good. She and Within the Ruins have absolutely made love good instru-metal
the term she was after is I think mother of pearl beautiful instrument

The letter ä in Swedish is pronounced like the latin ae (or "eye" in English), or so Wikipedia says. So sälen would be pronounced like silen in silence.

Still buying a guitar of a cost about 1700-2500 euros made in indonisia or china is NOT cool at all , when on the other hand you have kiezel when you can buy a headless at 1300 usd made in USA.
