    One of the best things about this video is you are so nice and answer just about all the questions. So many make videos and ignore the real needs that people ask about so they can do it too. That's a really awesome thing you do. Your answers really help learn a lot plus the video just rocks❣️

    I do mainly sidewalks. If the crack is on an expansion joint going off course, diamond saw it about an inch & 1/2 deep on the expansion joint. Drill out the part of the crack off course with a SDS maximum 5/8" drill. Go 2 to 3 inches deep. Force all the holes together with the chisel blade. Clean it out good. I mix mortar & sand mix together to fill the area. Touch up with the saw again if needed. I've never had my sidewalk crack after the repair.

  • @billbradleymusic

    @billbradleymusic

    15 күн бұрын

    I've used high strength mortar mixed with straight Portland cement for years. Add a couple pounds per 80lb bag of moratar mix. You can stamp it. To slow it down use lime additive. I've capped a bunch of porches both broomed and stamped. I've also experimented with chicken wire and re rod to create garden edging/curb, all stamped. Mix a bit like mortar maybe a little, stiff for base coat/shaping. A bit wetter for final stamping. You can utilize fiberglass reinforcement as well as fiberglass mats for bridging spots that are likely to crack.

  • @billbradleymusic

    @billbradleymusic

    ... All done in Michigan. No footings, just rebar 2' in the ground and chicken wire. No cracks thus far (going on 5 years/seasons). But the one that gets pretty wet does heav up and down a couple inches yet slides back down into place come summer.

    I’m in Florida and have an overlay concrete path to my front door. Drives me nuts as every time I walk on it, it crackles and pieces are breaking off more and more each day. No one will come “repair” it either.

    @@whomeverwhereverThis product should not be used outside. Covered porch with tile and sealer would give you a better result in Florida. Driveways and walkways should be avoided using this product. Unfortunately if you have a dangerous walkway you should have a contractor jackhammer it up and replace correctly using a lazer to properly pour with necessary pitch to walk on safety and a proper pitch to gently have for rain runoff.

    Site conditions will play a big part in this, and how well the ST retains its moisture. Some tips to help with this, you can make smaller mixes, pre-wet the surface with water, or use a bit more part B in your mixes. Wind, sun, high temperatures, and very absorbent concrete will all play a factor in causing the ST to dry out too fast
