In Houston, it’s several times a day

If one is on I-12, and 12 turns back into I-10 in Slidell, what would possess one to head South to drive through New Orleans; only to take 10 back Northeast to Slidell, where one would have run back into 10 off of 12 anyway!!!???

I remember going to Disney World back in 2010. Good times, good times...

I've done this same exact drive, I lived in Houston at one point

This lamb would like to point out 53:13 is where you used to cross from Central to Eastern time zone.

Would you ever consider doing this drive again? Was it worth the trip?

Michael Horton I did the drive from Las Vegas to Central Florida round trip. I’ll definitely do it again but I’ll take more time to stop and see things, and not in winter like last time. It gets really cold in Texas in December.

When driving on I-10 between Houston TX and Jacksonville FL It’s hard to see gas stations and buildings because the trees are blocking them. Same goes for I-12 between Baton Rouge LA and Slidell LA. However, you can see everything when your on top a bridge, such as the Calcasieu river bridge in Lake Charles LA, and the Horace Wilkinson Mississippi River Bridge in Baton Rouge LA. You can also get a clear view on the Lake Pontchartrain Cswy, the Mobile Bay bridge in Mobile AL and the Escambia Bay bridge in Pensacola FL. You can also get a good view of the buildings of Metairie LA and New Orleans LA on the Lake Pontchartrain Cswy.

Because she would have lost the experience of driving on one of the most incredible causeway's in the world, "Lake Ponchatrain Causeway", with the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Virginia being a close second. Driving in the Lake Ponchatrain Causeway is next on my bucket list, that's for sure.
