I live in Finland, where 5 months of the year the place is covered in snow making it difficult to enjoy nature and hiking the same way. I also don't have friends with same interests to join me and my dog on my hiking trips, but going solo is also fun. Your videos offer me a way to experience these things, especially in winter when all I can do is to wait for time to pass for it to be summer again. I've enjoyed each episode you've put out, they're all quality stuff. The message you are sending to the world is an important one, and I could not be happier to have found your channel a year ago. Congrats on getting this far!

I'm 64 years old . I've had an accident to my right foot. It was crushed. I now have one foot without an arch, flat footed. It is 1 1/2 sizes larger then the other. I can walk but my balance is off some what. That was five years ago. I so much miss hiking. I so much miss the Great outdoors. My son and his family took me to one of the county parks in our area Mt. Madonna. We took the Henry Miller Trail. I saw banana slugs, a salamander, snake, stellar jays, woodpecker. We hiked to forage hazel nuts and many varieties of acorns. Also, pinecone. Pinecone's for autumn crafting. Acorns for feeding the fenced in Fallow Deer kept in their protective pen. Besides that recent adventure with my family. I want you all to know how much I so look forward to your adventures. The filming is beautiful and I feel as if I'm right there along with you all. Thank you for all you efforts and strengths and struggles too. God Bless

Your videos add tons of value to your life and other peoples as you are becoming more and more aware. For example, my husband and I RV. I have stage 4 breast cancer. Been fighting it for 10 years. I hiked to the top of lost maples in Texas which I’m sorry you missed, and down three years ago. This past year we only made it halfway up. So, we did big Bend right before the pandemic began and even in February it was too freaking hot for me to do much hiking. But we drove the whole dang thing! So this hike, I knew what every leaf and flower and tree smelt like and I got to see them up close in your video. It’s sort of completed my trip and confirmed that I would’ve been crazy to try much there. Also your voices are very soothing and you don’t scream and squeal, and I leave your videos on and fall asleep listening to you guys a lot!

Thanks for a fantastically filmed 50th episode. But more importantly, these aren’t just 50 separate great videos. In their totality it is an inspiring body of work showing the exploration of the outdoors (“into the unknown!”) as a way to explore ourselves and what is really worthwhile in life. Inspiring music and friendship! Go for another 50!

"Into the wild, into the unknown because we are Adventure Archives." Andrew Lin. Congratulations on the amazing accomplishment of 50 episodes Andrew, Bryan, Robby and Thomas! 👏👏👏👏 Big Bend National Park made a wonderful episode and was befitting of such a milestone for Adventure Archives. When I discovered your channel through the Dolly Sods Winter episode all those years ago it really made an impression on me and I am honored to support what has become one of the best channels on KZread. Your love of the outdoors and camaraderie make each adventure all of you take special and as was spoke of in the episode, you bring us all along to enjoy it with you. A lovely touch to reference back to past adventures through this one and it had all the hallmarks of a perfect AA episode from the fantastic cinematics, the music you create, to plant id and the hilarious shout outs. The closing credits with your song with Unbyul sent shivers down my spine. An ideal way to cap this chapter in Adventure Archives history. Here's to many more adventures to come. All the best from Kerry and myself. 👍

I think your channel is the best for hiking and traveling. I live in this Big Bend area and have for years and it’s so good to see the first time experiences from people who really appreciate our beautiful area. This is a beautiful peaceful area but can be dangerous and treacherous if not prepared. It’s so extremely vast people are blown away when experiencing. I would like to add a correction about the black bear, they are very prevalent and the scat you were looking at looked like black bear scat, we have quite a few black bear where we live and their scat is everywhere. The fruit on the prickly pear cactus is called tuna, and when eating prickly pear cactus in Mexican food it’s called nopales or nopalitos. We’re glad it’s so far out of the way or it would be bombarded by so many people like what has happened to the Texas Hill Country. We are out in the middle of nowhere with not as many people and like it that way, and the least amount of light pollution as well. Living so remote can be difficult in so many ways as well and not for everyone. So glad you enjoyed this area, and loved y’all’s adventure and your friendships. Will keep watching, thank you!

Regarding tumble weeds, here in California there has been a big increase in the amount of tumbleweeds due to the effects of the ongoing drought. Experts on such matters have been telling news reporters that the tumbleweed plants will grow when nothing else does. These days there are large numbers of the tumbleweeds blowing around the sides of freeways in Southern California during the Fall months due to this drought effect wiping out other plants.

Just discovered you recently. Now I need to catch up somehow. I grew up in SoCal and hiked the LA mountains with my dad and uncle, who was into scouting. I have lived in Utah for many years and have hiked and backpacked (and snowshoed) all over the state and area. I have trail ideas for you if you ever come out here again! I also lived in Japan (Oita) for a while and did some hikes in Kyushu. Eventually backpacked around the globe… seeing many countries and riding the trans Siberian rail from Beijing to Moscow. Not a camping trip, but I carried a pack for 5 months!! 😎. To this day my best friends are the people I have hiked with. We still laugh about old adventures. Love what I have seen and excited you are out there living life and sharing it. The world is a beautiful place. Congratulations!

congratulations on your 50th episode. Your companionship is so strong. Yes, it is like you take us along your journey. Your cinematography, composition, editing, sound, logistics, are superb. My son graduated from OWU in journalism (documentaries). I always have him watch your videos to inspire him in his craft. May your friendship and camaraderie among you stay strong. Thanks for taking me to places I may never be able to get to. Hats off to you.

i love when i get hangry or angry on a trail. it MAKES me stop, drink, eat or relax and breath. i fins its harder to act out outside then inside (for ME) so i love when I have those chances to work on my frustration and coping/thinking skills. id like to edit that I use the words 'act out' because I am autistic and do melt down verbally.

I just put up my 73rd hiking episode and will venture down into the US soon on a road trip as the population where I life is just too small for anyone to find my videos. I hope to have an audience like you guys have built one day.

Congrats, first of all on 50 episodes. That is insane. I've been watching your channel for more than 6 years now and all your adventures helped me get through the time when I wasn't able to travel much and get out hiking due to work. Every time I watched one of your episodes I was thinking to myself how nice it'd be to finally get out hiking again. I'm finally able to again. The friendship you guys have through your hobby is invaluable. To stick together for so long, doing something you all love and enjoy is incredible. I hope this continues that way for all of you. And lastly, you cannot not appreciate the production value of these episodes enough. Everything from the shot set-up, the editing and grading, the story and music and probably many more tiny details I forgot are just on another level. What we see is a beatiful shot of you four walking across a dried-up river bed. What it took was you guys lugging around the filming gear on top of your regular gear, climbing up to set up the shot, running back down and executing the shot, then walking back to retrieve the camera. And the work doesn't stop after the trip. The whole post production takes a lot of effort and time that we don't see but it is so well worth it. The way you capture your trips is simply beautiful. Why you are not at a Million subs is beyond me, but in the end, it doesn't matter. You get to go out and do what you love together. And that is true success! So I truly thank you for all you do, before, during and after the trips, to let us see these amazing journeys you go on. Thank you!

Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment! This is a great 50th episode, the only thing missing was rain. I became a viewer while recovering from chemo and have been hiking with you vicariously ever since. Thanks for letting me tag along. Brian is right, if you ever stop doing this don't stop getting together. Some day years from now a child is going to introduce himself to his ,or her, school class saying "my grandfather was part of Adventure Archives".
