next time, go with a proper setup. some 5 gallon buckets, shovels, the sodter with fine screen, and set up someplace with moving water. Let the water run through the sift box to get all the dust and dirt out, while tossing out the biggest rocks first… getting smaller and smaller till you see the sparkles. Maybe only the size of 1/4 ladybug…. but all day long you’ll have a drinking glass full of nothing else. maybe even a big one

Let me tell you why you're not going to find anything like the beautiful specimens she shows and her family sells: AFTER RAIN THE TOPAZ IS EASY TO FIND, SO HER FAMILY ALL GOES OUT AND COLLECTS ANYTHING OF VALUE! Yeah, so by the time you get there, she knows you're not going to find anything. She can't stop herself from giggling about it every time she says the word "rock." Don't waste your time or money!

Placing a rock in your mouth to clean it off is not a good idea as many minerals can be toxic.
