Awesome to see Silvija's confidence growing, that she's willing to fly the plane while you catnap (and that you feel safe to catnap).

So glad to see Silvija flying. My guess is the more she flys the more comfortable she will get and the more she will want to learn. Really glad to see that “Popping the question” didn’t hurt your relationship. Seen it happen a few times. I gave up 20 years of bachelorhood when I married my wife. I knew from the start that she was the one. You guys have that magic. Congrats!

Mike, you should plan on visiting this country some time.. It is amazing and has absolutely everything. From what I have found, and it is very unfortunate, is that most of the world only knows about this country is what they see on TV. Thanks in part to Peter Jackson New Zealand is on MY bucket list. I love the USA,my father learned to fly there with the U.S.Army Air Corps on Stearman's while on the famous Arnold scheme,you have a beautiful country and Oshkoshe is great too.

Jonas, I'm from Texas... I'm not a pilot, just a fan. And when you said you landed at Yoakum airport, I thought Yoakum TX (T85). But that airport doesn't have a runway 35, and it's nowhere near your flight path! SO, after some time on Google Maps and Airnav I figured out you were at Yoakum COUNTY Airport near Plains TX (F98)! Now that makes sense. There ain't much going on out there in Plains TX! Note to self: Make sure the airports along the route have food, or bring some snacks so Silvija doesn't get hangry! Congrats to you and Silvija on the engagement!

I just bought a used Kitfox. Haven’t flown it yet. So so so so excited!!!

Going back and re-looking. Kinda wish you had never sold your Kitfox. But here is is June 2024 and hoping your present plane will be a Safe Family Plane. :)

Looks like you had better make a couple extra stops on your longer flights or Silvija is going to lose her interest in flying. Awesome vid man! I think a gimbal would help for the scenes like when you were in the Hangar, the vid was pretty shaky and I had to turn off full screen. Either way man thanks for the video, keep it up bro!

I now always carry some snacks when flying, Longest flight i did was 2.7hrs (heli) for my CPL by the time I landed i was starving, the examiner said to always carry even a protein bar, as high stress and and empty stomach and air craft do not mix.

Y’all two be careful living the American Dream , God has blessed you both for sure !

I've seen the BMW motorcycle flat twin used also. They range from 500cc to 1200cc. Since they've been in production, in one form or another since about 1920. They're very reliable. I rode a 1994 BMW R1100RS for several years and loved it. 1100 cc and 95 hp.

Binged a few new & old ones today of both channels (btw @Jonas, nice Win on the One Wheel "STOL" drag race on Trent's High Sierra 2019 vid). THANKS for taking us on the last Kitfox trip (nice support flying @Silvia)! Sad to see the Kitfox go, but like someone says in the comments, "one door closes, another one opens!" #Defiance

So true. I’m from Texas and you can always smell it, especially coming back from Colorado or someplace dry and crisp. It’s like a heavy smelly wet blanket.

Jonas Marcinko - aren’t the rules of governing flight; no smoking within 12 hours of takeoff and no drinking within 50 feet of an aircraft! These were the rules how I remember them. Oh that’s right his Legal Eagle has smoke capabilities so scratch the first rule!
