Tullahoma is the home of the Beechcraft Heritage Museum. My mom lives in town and not too far from the airport. The runways where built to handle B17's and 25's during WW2. Plus just up the road from moms (10 miles) is the George Dickel Whiskey Distillery. Jack Daniels is west of town about 20 miles in Lynchburg. Think that DC-3 was "Mr Douglas" - of the Freak Brothers skydiving fame. The Nelson boys of skydiving fame use to own / run that back in Hinckley, IL. (I met them years back. RIP Roger / Carl ) Thank you for the video and be safe. "Spin"

Making that trip in the confines of a Kitfox cockpit is clear evidence that you two like each other.

HI guys, I actually live in Tullahoma and have landed at that airport many times over the years but so far not with a tailwheel airplane. As for the finish of the trip I loved the comment about an "old" guy learning tail wheel. I just got my tail wheel certification on February 19, 2022 and for my last three session with a CFI the weather was quite windy. My tail wheel is a 1946 J3C piper cub.

Not too many Toobers plaster a smile on my face like you two can.

A tru gear head doesn’t care what the courtesy car he gets. You just tilt your head, have a little laugh at the imperfections and wonder..... who on earth went to a dealer in 1999 and bought this new. And for some strange reason you look forward to what seeing what you’re going to get. Every time. Always grateful yet always amazed.

You have definitely proved the point that I have held for longer than you two have been alive, that you do not need a fast airplane to go far! It may have been unintentional but you've taken some of those back to the days we wish we were alive orphan at least visit. The days of barnstorming and simple airplanes! Now I have to get a hanger mate for my Tailwind W8. Something low and slow, maybe a kitfox?

You guys cracked me up hard. It's hard NOT to make fun of people who talk funny. I do it all day long. Thanks for the long trip.

You two are very fun to watch. Your happy spirits are infectious. I laughed out loud several times. Thanks for that. Silvija, you are a great copilot. If I were Jonas I would never fly without you.

I agree they made me laugh several times also. Great to see people that have a sense of humor even after flying cross country in the hot weather w/o any A/C to cool them off at all .

Guys: My dad is from Elizabethton, TN!!!! - born and raised, thru high school. And he's still around at 90, now in the Seattle area.

Well there is a trip the two of you will remember for years to come, and hard getting rid of the Fox so that will ingrain it into your brain, the good and the bad. The bad being the torture on your kidneys......lol Can't wait to see what you replace it with. Rock on Jonas and Silvija!!! ;-)

I used to work right across the road from the Elizabethton airport that you landed on. It used to be a company called Great Lakes Research. That is the same airstrip where Dale Earnhart Jr. Crashed his Citation recently.

Steve McEntyre . That was sad his gorgeous private jet went up in smoke . He and his family and their dog were darn lucky they all got out alive & w/o being hurt . I wonder if he has a new or another one by now ? My cousin was killed @ 60 , years ago he was flying in a twin engine King Air on aviation business from Oklahoma to Orlando , Florida w/several co workers one of them was the owner of the plane . It went down in some real rough terrain on a nasty rainy day . My Aunt told me years later when I saw her that the plane probably shouldn't have taken off that day .

A few years ago, a friend tried to get me to buy an Avid. Looking back, I wish a had. Nice airplane.

Alpine, WY has a nice courtesy car and Alpine has a good Mexican restaurant in an old converted school bus. You should check it out sometime.

Skinny dipping and sand bars on the lower Wisconsin River on way to OSH, close to the Mississippi! Lots of people unpack their bags on the sand bars during the summer, popular canoeing/camping river. Another great video, waiting patiently for the next.

Hey Jonas, love the videos! You two are both so charming and keep me smiling throughout your videos, and have me inspired to get my private pilot certificate and fly across the US. I also have to point out an "etiquette" thing when you "cheers," (although it may not actually be an etiquette thing and might just be something I made up, lol) and that is that after you "cheers" your supposed to take a drink!!!! My brother when he first got out of the US Navy (he was on a nuclear submarine for years)was hired by a head hunter to work at The Oak Ridge National Laboratory which was run by Union Carbide Corporation . He was a nuclear reactor control room operator & he lived in Oak Ridge , Tennessee .for years .

I thought that FBO looked familiar. I landed there when the alternator in my RV crapped out a few years ago. The folks there helped me get it changed out. When I was done it was too late to press on so I stayed in the FBO. They have a shower there too. But... smart man you are to yield to the wife wishes.
