He's right- even when BBQ in TX ain't the "best" you ever had, it's all still pretty good and almost never bad!

Ribs, Brisket & Pulled Pork - My Trinity!

So glad to see Stringer’s Lufkin BBQ, I ate my share of those rolls growing up!

Corkscrew used to be in a shack on Budde Rd in Montgomery county part of Spring, TX, next to a car detailing and tinting place. People started lining up at about 8:00 am every day they were open.

I’m from Llano Texas born and raised but live in Austin at the moment and we are famous for our Immans kitchen, coopers BBQ and our small town is very famous for our food and sight seeings since we are the deer capital of Texas.

here in Roanoke (North Texas) we have 407 BBQ; it's to die for!!!!!

There's actually 5 different bbq zones in Texas.. I tried them all.. But the south zone is my favorite! From San Antonio down to the RGV.. Between Corpus Christi and Laredo..

I remember the album cover with Stevie ray vaughn on it, been to the establishment 4 times in my life and I haven’t found any better brisket on earth yet!! RIP SRV

Big Smiths bbq between Sulphur Springs and Yantis you have to check them out!

A link from Patillo's in Beaumont is amazing. Just make sure you don't have anything important to do the rest of the day since it's packed to the casing with garlic.

Loco Coyote in Glen Rose is my favorite. 1701 barbecue in Beaumont is legit as well

Prime is the Austin crutch. Take cheap meat and make something of it. That’s why Snow’s is special.

I miss Texas BBQ!

Snow is my favorite, you can't cook away from the kitchen. The secret to good barbecue is time. If you have to put sauce on the meat is not good barbecue. Kinda like cookies good steak. But a good sauce never takes away from the meat.

My favorite is Coopers, but only the Mason location because they have bbq goat and goat sausage, and it’s the best stuff ever!

Brisket Bahn Mi sounds like the best thing wver

I’m so glad seeing him mention that about the meat quality grade of brisket. Getting sick of the pretentious attitude of some of the bbq folks toward things like that. Best brisket I’ve ever had, the guy buys his at 2:30 am at Walmart. Good video. 👍

You were in McKinney and so close to Hutchin's BBQ! Why didn't you stop in at Hutchins??

So..we're full time rv last year we stayed in Texas for about 4 months..we got to the point that if we wanted to find good bq places we would just cruise down the rd and roll down our window..that's how you find the best places..and always check ✔️ the parking lot

Being from south Texas I don't like central Texas bbq. Give me mesquite smoked South Texas BBQ any day

Coopers Old Tyme BBQ. My favorite is in Llano! (And not just because my brother works there.) Their food is awesome!!!

The Texas Trinity is actually moist/point brisket, sausage (I prefer Southside Market Hot Guts) and beef/Dino ribs. Keep your phone handy though. If the Food Network or The Cooking Channel has any clue, they’ll be calling soon.

Loooove beef ribs. But they are pretty new on the scene. As we are cooking them now. 12-13 years ago, only Blacks did them that way. So I've gotta keep pork ribs in the Trinity. More classic.

As a lifelong Texan i think you should make a GPS based App. to let us know when we're in the area of these places. An App. that let's truck drivers know if there's parking available would be sweet! Just saying, you can see how skinny we are that we need sustenance!

It says they all work full time jobs elsewhere, Ms Tootsie specifically is a janitor during the work week, the rest of the staff isnt specified but I'm sure wherever they work is getting a great employee if their efforts at Snow's is any type of a clue to their work ethic

Depends on who you talk to on whether it's south/southwest. US Census bureau considers Texas part of the south. My gf is from Lockhart and considers it the south. My territory for work is southwest and Texas gets lumped in with that. Some just call it deep south

@@chelleroberson3222 and the diehard Texan I live with, and other Texan roommates I've had. This topic has definitely come up before. Parts of Texas seem to own southwest more than South, but definitely not all, and it's literally defined by the US government as a southern state. If you call the confederacy 'the south', Texas was part of that too. Much of west Texas definitely has the more southwest feel to it (I'm Arizonan but used to be in New Mexico a ton too), but I can definitely say that has a very different flavor to it than when I'm in Houston or something

You must be in dallas... if so i agree... Rudy's has some killer locations... waco being #1 ( may have caught them on a good day)... all austin locations are great.. all dfw locations are terrible
